Chapter 104: Technology Competition

Xiao Ying smiled and said, “That is why today, you all will complete this miracle together. Let us hope both our own and the others’ ants all run at their fastest speed.”

After the competition began, the children were cheering for each other.

The scene was bustling with excitement. Some of the children who had not participated could not help but run forward to cheer with them.

Many of the parents craned their necks to see.

After the five groups of ants finished running, the ant of the first group led by Cheng Jia ran for a minute and four seconds, narrowly beating the ant of the second group, who made it in a minute and five seconds, obtaining first place.

Cheng Jia’s face flushed red with excitement. The six of them held hands and waited for Xiao Ying to announce the results.

Xiao Ying praised them generously and saw the other children lower their heads in disappointment.

She smiled mysteriously again.

She got someone to bring in the prizes that had been prepared long ago.

A box taller than half a person was brought to the podium.

The children looked on curiously.

Xiao Ying did not beat around the bush. “This is the reward for the first place.”

Instead of opening the box, she tossed the six little fairies she had been holding into the air, all of them shining with golden light.

The little fairies did not fall to the ground. Instead, they spun in the air and stabilized, floating midair.

Under Xiao Ying’s encouraging gaze, the children grabbed the floating fairies.

The other children looked on enviously.

Xiao Ying opened the box.

The children below marveled in wonder.

A silver tree appeared in front of them. There were many animals on the tree branches, and they were all very lifelike.

Xiao Ying gently pressed the button in her hand. The animals that were on the tree flew across the stage. The children reached out their hands curiously, but nobody tried to grab them.

Xiao Ying smiled and said, “These little creatures are your prizes. This competition was completed thanks to every single one of your efforts.”

The children who had not participated in the competition looked at her pitifully.

Xiao Ying smiled and said, “Of course, that includes you guys as well.”

Every child received an animal they liked. These animals had a chain on them. They hung it on their necks and proudly showed it to the people around them.

Xiao Ying looked at Cheng Jia and the others and said, “This is your real prize.”

The children followed her finger and looked at the tree that had become empty on the podium.

Xiao Ying smiled and explained, “This is a fairy tree. All the fairies in your hands have to return to the fairy tree to charge their batteries before they can fly. I’ll leave this tree to you. You can freely decide where to store this tree and whether to let their fairies return to the fairy tree or not.”

As if confirming her words, the fairies in the children’s hands fell from the sky, and the lights on their bodies stopped flickering.

Cheng Jia and the others frowned. They did not know what to do, so they could only look at Xiao Ying for help.

Xiao Ying asked, “Are you all happy that you obtained first place?”

They nodded without hesitation. Xiao Ying continued, “First place doesn’t just represent glory. It also represents a greater responsibility. Therefore, you must consider these matters yourselves.”

Cheng Jia lowered his head and pondered Xiao Ying’s words. He pulled the group aside to discuss.

After a while, Cheng Jia and the others quickly ran to the side and discussed something with a middle-aged man.

After the discussion, the children returned to Xiao Ying’s side and said, “Sister, we don’t think we should monopolize this fairy tree. We discussed this with the principal. Let’s put this tree in the library. We can let all the children play with it.”

Xiao Ying stroked their heads and said, “No matter what decision you make, I’m sure it’ll be amazing.”

The children below shouted excitedly and applauded them.
