Chapter 991: Fury!

Fury! . . .

The laughter of the other guard filled the air as he shared an anecdote with Song Fei. He admitted, "My lord, I don't mean to offend, but your point is valid. I've experienced something similar before. I encountered a woman once who appeared stunning from behind, and my thoughts ran wild. However, when I finally beheld her face, I simply couldn't... 'stand up.' No matter how flawless her body was, her face haunted my thoughts, even in the dark. I couldn't maintain my... performance. It left me with some serious psychological scars..."

"Hahaha..." Song Fei joined in the laughter, displaying no signs of irritation. His guards joined him, their amusement unbridled.

Amidst the laughter, Cha Eun Xiao and Han Bingxue observed Song Fei and his entourage with admiration. Their admiration extended not only to the young lord but also to his loyal guards.

An age-old adage surfaced in Eun Xiao's mind: "A master's character is mirrored in the conduct of his servants." The courage displayed by Song Fei and his men impressed both Eun Xiao and Han Bingxue.

Eun Xiao silently praised them, [Incredible courage... Remarkable.]

He thought, [As a cultivator at the ninth level of the Dao Origin Stage, one of the world's most formidable practitioners, I merely harbored a minor curiosity about Xuan Bing's appearance as a friend. That curiosity has tormented me incessantly ever since. Yet these individuals brazenly made advances on her in public—repeatedly.]

He continued, [These people are undoubtedly extraordinarily brave.]

[The Oracle District's residents may make gradual strides in their cultivation, but their valor has reached unmatched heights. These are unquestionably the boldest individuals in the entire realm.]

As Song Xuan fretted, Eun Xiao found the situation intriguing, while Han Bingxue stood in awe of the sheer audacity displayed by these individuals.

Meanwhile, Xuan Bing finally grasped Song Xuan's true intent, and her instantaneous fury threatened to rend the world asunder.

A wave of cold energy emanated from her, enveloping the surroundings like an impenetrable shroud of frost. An oppressive force descended upon the area, smothering everything in its path.

Fear and apprehension overwhelmed those present, as if they had descended into the depths of hell. Unrelenting terror, dread, and a pervasive sense of impending doom assailed them.

Within seconds, those who had previously laughed at Xuan Bing collapsed to the ground, gripped by abject fear and agony. Their faces contorted with shock and horror.

The horses they rode experienced a similar fate. Their eyes, mouths, ears, and noses hemorrhaged profusely, and they succumbed to the dread that permeated the atmosphere.

The three guards who had taunted Xuan Bing lay prostrate on the ground, paralyzed by fear, urine-soaked and unable to utter a word. Tremors coursed through their quivering bodies, and they were struck dumb.

Regret never had a chance to manifest within them; instead, they were overwhelmed by an all-consuming, visceral terror.

"Merc...cy... Please..." One guard, his voice a feeble whisper, mustered every ounce of strength to utter these three words.

Xuan Bing responded with a cold humph that reverberated like thunder, a sound that struck the guards' heads with a deafening shock.

In a gruesome instant, their heads exploded like watermelons, their brains splattering in all directions.

Song Fei trembled as he bore witness to the harrowing spectacle, regret and terror enveloping his being. He could only think, [What have I done? Why did I provoke such a monstrous entity?]

He lamented his previous remarks about Xuan Bing, overwhelmed by remorse.

[She didn't say a word. She didn't make a move. A single glance and a cold humph, and my men—three guards at the second level of the Dream Origin Stage—met a gruesome end with their heads exploding in a nightmarish manner.]

The overwhelming suppression that Xuan Bing had just exerted left Eun Xiao feeling as though he had stepped into a living legend. It was a jaw-dropping experience, something he could hardly believe.

Song Xuan, who had witnessed this astonishing display, was equally dumbfounded. His eyes widened as he stared at the woman in the black suit, his neck stiff from shock.

[How incredible is her power?]

[What is happening here?]

[Isn't this too terrifying?]

[This...]

He gazed at the blood and flesh strewn across the floor, unable to form coherent thoughts. His mind was a blank slate.

"Murder! Murder..." The shocked onlookers finally regained their senses after a moment and scattered in all directions, fleeing for their lives. No one had expected such a bloody and gruesome scene to unfold while they stood there, witnessing the horrifying spectacle.

People had perished before the thought of escape had even crossed their minds.

The heads of three individuals had exploded.

While a death in the town might have gone relatively unnoticed, the fact that members of the landlord's household had perished was a grave matter.

"All of you who still draw breath, rise," Xuan Bing instructed, her expression icy. "Kneel in a row on this blood-stained ground."

"When the Song Clan's members arrive, I'm curious to see their reaction. I wonder how much chaos you can incite. I'm eager to see if you can do anything to deter me."

Her fury was palpable.

She could not accept what had transpired.

The surviving men, who had been lying on the ground, trembling but still alive, reluctantly crawled to the bloodstained area and knelt down in a row. Their faces were ashen, driven by terror. They had no desire to end up as lifeless corpses because they had failed to obey her command.

Xuan Bing then issued an order. "Han Bingxue, keep an eye on them. Kill anyone who fails to kneel properly. Don't seek my approval for each one—just execute them."

Han Bingxue was more than willing to carry out the task; after all, he served as a free laborer for Xuan Bing. He grinned and stepped forward, barking at the men.

The unfortunate men had unknowingly offended Xuan Bing by their actions—displaying the same disrespectful behavior towards her that they routinely showed towards women.

This would surely become a significant historical footnote within the Qing-Yun Realm.

"Brother Cha, what do you propose we do with these men?" Xuan Bing took a deep breath and approached Cha Eun Xiao, seeking his input.

"Me? What's my opinion on this?" Cha Eun Xiao expressed his surprise.

[Aren't you the one who calls the shots here? Why are you asking me?]

Xuan Bing responded with a steely demeanor. "Don't play dumb in my presence! Isn't Song Clan connected to you in some way?"
