Chapter 254: The Egg That Had No Idea What To Do

The Egg That Had No Idea What To Do . . .

When Wan Zheng-Hao heard Cha-Eun Xiao's voice, a shiver ran down his spine. He felt a sense of foreboding in the air.

"The man who reserved Sky Room No.1 hasn't made an appearance yet," Wan Zheng-Hao informed Cha-Eun Xiao. "He only provided a token as confirmation."

With confidence in his eyes, Cha-Eun Xiao took a couple of steps forward and declared in a low, resolute tone, "The fact that the token has been presented here makes it clear. He will eventually arrive."

Wan Zheng-Hao was baffled. He couldn't comprehend why the Monarch was so certain that the enigmatic man would attend the auction the following day. This mysterious figure had the power to single-handedly create chaos and decide the fates of individuals. How could Cha-Eun Xiao be so sure of the man's intentions?

Despite his doubts, Wan Zheng-Hao kept his thoughts to himself. He dared not voice his concerns.

"We will proceed with the auction as planned," Cha-Eun Xiao continued. "No one, no faction will receive special treatment. Disregard the requests from the two sects. If they possess the wealth and resources, they are welcome to participate. If not, they will leave empty-handed. They must be delusional to believe they can acquire our treasures for free."

He sneered and then departed, leaving Wan Zheng-Hao to mull over the audaciousness of it all.

"That's madness," Wan Zheng-Hao mumbled to himself, unsure whether he referred to Monarch Feng or the two super sects.

Cha-Eun Xiao vanished like a wisp of fog, his attention now drawn to the gelid energy he had absorbed from Bing Xin-Yue. It had lain dormant for a while, but it was now resurging, threatening to disrupt the delicate balance within the Boundless Space. Cha-Eun Xiao knew he had to address this situation promptly, as ignoring it could lead to dire consequences.

Cha-Eun Xiao wanted to prolong his conversation with Wan Zheng-Hao in the salesroom to discuss the upcoming auction in more detail. However, he found himself unable to linger any longer and hastily departed for the House of Cha.

The gelid qi he had absorbed from Bing Xin-Yue's illness had triggered a significant transformation. In just a few hours, this newfound energy had wrought havoc within the Boundless Spaces, threatening to spiral out of control.

Upon returning to his room and inspecting the Spaces, Cha-Eun Xiao realized that the Wood Space was on the verge of collapse. There was no time for hesitation; he immediately initiated the process of digesting the gelid qi.

His proficiency in assimilating energy within the Spaces had grown substantially. After some time, he managed to stabilize the Spaces. This time, he entered the Sky Space and sealed it off completely, taking personal charge of managing the gelid qi.

Meanwhile, in the tunnel, the egg exhibited signs of self-awareness. It began to understand how to claim resources for itself, much to Cha-Eun Xiao's chagrin.

However, Cha-Eun Xiao was resolute in asserting his dominance.

"This is my domain, within my body! I am the master here! Are we clear?" he thought vehemently. The thought of an egg usurping his domain was utterly embarrassing.

His focus returned to digesting the gelid qi, harnessing its potential to enhance his cultivation. He could feel gradual improvements in his capabilities, and he became increasingly engrossed in this process.

As he neared complete immersion, a startling development occurred—the Spaces began to tremble. To his surprise, the egg took flight and whirled through the air, its movements betraying an unmistakable sense of urgency and agitation.

Over the past ten days, Cha-Eun Xiao had refrained from depositing items into the Boundless Space. In fact, he had even extracted various items from the Space, a behavior that had not gone unnoticed by the egg residing within.

The egg harbored a sense of annoyance and frustration, well aware that Cha-Eun Xiao still harbored resentment for having been ejected from the Space on their previous encounter. Lately, whenever Cha-Eun Xiao ventured into the Space, he deliberately ignored the egg. Despite the egg's attempts to bridge the gap and mend their strained relationship, Cha-Eun Xiao remained unresponsive.

Clearly, he was still nursing his grudge.

During the initial days, the egg adopted a nonchalant attitude, merely rolling about without much concern. However, after three or four days, it began to exhibit restlessness, occasionally shifting and fidgeting. Six days into this silent feud, the egg's anxiety became palpable as it made earnest efforts to repair its rapport with Cha-Eun Xiao. Yet, all its attempts were met with cold indifference.

By the eighth day, tensions had reached a breaking point, and the egg found itself in a state of sheer panic.

"He won't cut off my access to the Spaces, will he?" the egg fretted internally. "Although it might not immediately pose a problem for him, it would undoubtedly hinder his progress. But what about me?"

Desperation gripped the egg as it contemplated its precarious situation. It yearned to extend an apology to Cha-Eun Xiao, but the latter remained unyielding and refused to engage.

The egg had become increasingly agitated, and even its core, the yolk, seemed on the verge of fragmentation.

Finally, a glimmer of hope emerged when Cha-Eun Xiao re-entered the Space. The egg's delight was evident, even though Cha-Eun Xiao persisted in his silence. Determined to take action, the egg decided to act promptly.

It knew that if it allowed Cha-Eun Xiao to continue ignoring it, the consequences could be dire. Deprived of the sustenance provided by the Boundless Space, its very survival would be jeopardized.

As Cha-Eun Xiao remained within the Sky Space, which he had sealed off, the egg waited patiently for his exit. Although the egg possessed the capability to unlock the space, it was reluctant to do so. The memory of Cha-Eun Xiao's previous anger still loomed large in its consciousness, and it didn't wish to risk incurring his wrath once more.

During the period when Cha-Eun Xiao had been extending kindness towards it, the egg had enjoyed a great deal of freedom. However, with Cha-Eun Xiao's newfound indifference, the egg found itself at a loss, unsure of how to navigate this evolving dynamic.

Cha-Eun Xiao, having attained the first level of the Grade of Tianyuan, was acutely aware of the significant expansion in his dantian's capacity. His Jing and Mai had become more flexible, marking a notable improvement in his martial abilities.
