“How could I…” Chen MO, though hesitant, examined the small bottle closely.
After a while, he suddenly exclaimed, “What are these grey-white specks?”
“That’s exactly what I want to find out,” Xia Wan nodded, “This substance has entered the bloodstream, so it wasn’t administered in one go. We need to figure out what it is, when, and how Xia Ru ingested it.”
“Shouldn’t this be sent to a hospital for analysis?” Chen MO asked. He might not understand medicine, but he knew this much.
“They might not be able to see much just by looking at it, even if Xia Wan is a skilled doctor.”
“It’s already been sent to the hospital,” Xia Wan said calmly.
“Sent? When?” Chen MO was surprised.
He had been there all along, and Xia Wan had not left his sight. How could she have sent the blood sample for testing without him noticing?
