Using his newly acquired ability, Hao Xuan could see precisely where Grey was and what he was doing, which gave him some much-needed assurance and a level of control that he had never had before when it came to the severs and soul-bonded beasts.

Having received the orders Grey began moving around the black mountain and into the forest while Hao Xuan kept a watchful eye, telling him exactly where to go.

But Hao Xuan could not use the ability for very long because Grey had two heads and he was seeing out of both of them simultaneously. It was like watching two different videos at the same time and since they were both in first-person perspective, it made for a very disorienting experience.

It took Grey about 3-4 minutes to get to the area Hao Xuan had pointed out. It was approximately 1.5 kilometers from the Turtle Demon's exact position but unfortunately, there was absolutely nothing there.

'Start moving to the side and look for any smaller beasts that you can pick a fight with. Make it look natural,' Hao Xuan ordered again before taking a look towards the crater.

The smaller demons were still doing their own thing while the turtle demon looked like it was surveying the surroundings. But a minute or so passed and it suddenly moved.

Its entire heavyset frame turned towards the southwest side like it was looking at something.

Hao Xuan closed his eyes and using the ability he could see Grey fighting with a small rodent creature. It wasn't very strong but-

'Better than nothing I guess...' he mused and looked back towards the turtle demon to see if it had picked up on the commotion but his eyes widened upon finding the space empty.

'It's gone!'

Unlike its arrival, it had moved so quickly and quietly that Hao Xuan didn't even notice it leaving.

'Run away now! Run in the opposite direction!' he shouted the orders before jumping into the crater.

"Now or never!"

He channeled some chaos Qi into his middle and forefinger while running over the sea of corpses. All his senses were immediately supercharged to the max.

The smell inside the crater was even worse than what he picked up from afar and combined with the strange black smoke it drilled into one's senses no matter how hard they tried to suppress it. This was doubly true for Hao Xuan who had a much sharper sense of smell because of the Lycan bloodline.

But in the moment he didn't let it hinder him in the slightest.

With the memories from many of the other lifetimes still lingering inside, he had enough battle experience to handle most situations. He held his breath completely and increased the speed even more.

'It doesn't look much different from a normal pig other than its size and iron skin so hopefully, the brain is in the same spot too.'

With the cover from the black smoke and some exceptionally fast reflexes, Hao Xuan was able to get within six meters of the swine demon before it lazily raised its head in his direction.

With Hao Xuan's acute senses, he could even see the confusion in its eyes before reality hit it like a truck.

[Blink!]

He appeared in the air an arm's length away. The swine demon raised its head just in time to see his two fingers digging into its flesh.

Hao Xuan's arm shook as he discharged all the pent-up Chaos Qi that had been loaded into his arm. The idea behind it was simple, use the fingers to dig into its body and shoot out all the energy at once.

It was a simple move but one that was next to impossible to defend against if the opponent was careless for even a moment. It was not much different from how a gun worked, only much more devastating.

Hao Xuan didn't know how tough a beast twisted by demonic energy would be so he didn't hold back much and released almost 10% of his internal energy reserves in one go.

A moment later the swine demon's body expanded by two-thirds and then popped like a balloon.

It didn't explode, simply coming apart at the seams like an overinflated pastry while its entire skeleton neatly fell to the ground. Everything else within 5 meters including Hao Xuan was painted in a coat of putrid blood.

He pulled out his hand from its skull and wiped it on his shirt, somehow dirtying it even more.

"Well, that was anticlimactic," Hao Xuan mumbled before quickly bending down with a grin to search for the red ruby in the remains.

But there wasn't a lot of the swine left to go through and after just a few seconds he realized that there wasn't anything hidden inside.

"It's not here..."

"Perhaps you used too much force and accidentally destroyed it," Baracus reasoned.

But Hao Xuan shook his head immediately, "No, the barrier should have protected it...and even if it was destroyed there would have been a secondary explosion."
