Chapter 454 The Future Of Obsidian Skeletons (2)

Eventually, Leon stopped what he was doing and the last Obsidian Skeleton was born. In total, there were five thousand Obsidian Skeletons. Each of them started off with the initial strength of a Mid D rank. It was quite low compared to the starting points of Raegan and Darren, but Leon thought that it was nice and would give them more room to grow their own unique strengths over time. Plus, he had the resources back in the mortal realm to allow people grow quickly.

As a testament to that, Leon thought of the humans that he and Michael had brought back from Earth. His father, Eugene, had taken charge of the humans and together, he led them to grow through the Demon War. After the war, he had taken to exploring and clearing out dungeons on the Central Continent.

"On your feet. You will go and grow your strength under the lead of your Emperor, Raegan, in the mortal realm." Leon's powerful voice rang out. He waved his hand and a large portal opened on the side that led straight to the courtyard of the castle in Fort White.

One by one, the newborn Obsidian Skeletons walked through the portal that led to Datar. Leon gave a look to his Obsidian Skeleton summons and they followed, before he entered and closed it behind him. They would all briefly make a stop at Datar to handle the integration of the Obsidian Skeletons into the society before coming back to the celestial realm. They would just hand over the majority of the work to Raegan and Darren, as they two were the strongest mortal Obsidian Skeletons so far.

In the courtyard of the castle in Fort White, a black portal that was ten meters tall and five meters wide suddenly appeared, causing alarm. Hundreds of White Millipede guards instantly appeared from various corners of the castle and surrounded the portal. They held different weapons but remained in formation, ready to execute the training that they had undergone over the past months.

However, when they first figure emerged from the portal, they were taken aback. Black, shiny bones caught the light of the sun as the first Obsidian Skeleton walked out of the portal. Behind it, many more followed.

Before the confusion could grow to an even greater height, the guards felt relief when they saw Leon, Kaladin and Nero step out of the portal. Grokus and Nedra had been left behind in the celestial realm to watch over the God Kingdom.

"Lord Father!" It was then that two shadows flickered in the distance and appeared before the crowd of Obsidian Skeletons and White Millipedes. Raegan and Darren bowed their heads in greeting to Leon. "Seniors! We greet you as well!" Of course, they did not forget Kaladin and Nero who had acted as their mentors and seniors after they had been born.

"Raegan, Darren. Come up here." Leon gestured for the two to rise, and they did so before rising up to meet Leon and the others in the air.

"What do you ask of us, Lord Father?" Raegan asked.

"These are your new brothers in arms. They are your younger ones, in a sense. I want you to take charge of them and lead them. Our race has great potential. I am counting on you to maximize this potential and raise the strength of these new born Obsidian Skeletons." Leon told the two.

"Of course, Lord Father. We will not disappoint you!" The two bowed their heads again and declared, setting their hearts on doing their absolute best. Their eyes took in the thousands of Obsidian Skeletons with happiness in their hearts. More of their kind was good. It meant that they would flourish and lead the Cromwell Empire to greatness.

"Good. We will be returning to the celestial realm now. We have much to do there." Leon told them before turning around and leaving through the portal. Kaladin and Nero gave the two Obsidian Skeleton leaders a brief nod before following through the portal. In the next moment, the portal began to shrink until it disappeared from sight.

Left to their devices, the two Obsidian Skeleton leaders turned to the group of D rank Obsidian Skeletons with a motivated flare in their skulls.

"Brother, we have a lot of work to do." Darren said to Raegan in an amused tone.

"We shall make the Master proud." Raegan's eyes flared with excitement.

In the Void, some distance away from Datar, a massive army that was made up of powerful beings slowly but steadily made their way forward. This army was just the vanguard of the true Army of Destruction that was meant to keep the worlds that were under attack occupied and eat away at their manpower and strength "Ruth, how much longer till we reach?" A gruff voice grunted out of one of the flaming carriages that was in the center of the vanguard before a true detachment of the Army of Destruction came to the besieged world.

"Ruth, how much longer till we reach?" A gruff voice grunted out of one of the flaming carriages that was in the center of the vanguard force.

"We should be there in a month's time. Do not be impatient, Daraya." A soft but equally powerful voice responded from within that same carriage.

Within the carriage was the leaders of the vanguard force, which consisted of three Major Gods and five Peak Minor Gods. Only the three Major Gods were in this particular carriage, while the other Minor Gods were in another carriage.

The third Major God kept quiet and simply watched Ruth and Daraya speak among themselves. They could arrive at Datar at a much quicker pace if they left the majority of the army, but the fun of destruction was to let those at their mercy feel the despair. It was like slowly peeling off a band aid or ripping it off at once. The effect was the same, but the process differed. One delivered instant results while the other resulted in drawn out pain and suffering. They obviously preferred to make the suffering of their prey as drawn out as possible.
