Nedra was surprised to find the arrow turn into her shadow. She tried different means to shake off the pursuit of the arrow, but it was as if it had a mind of its own. Her eyes turned cold and she turned back to the bow wielding Elf that was now trying to put some distance between herself and Nedra.

Whoosh!

Nedra turned her Kamas into a single weapon, a scythe blade that had a long chain at its hilt, which she held. She flung it at the Elf with such force that it vanished from sight for a moment. When it reappeared, everyone was shocked to see an arc of bright red blood spinning through the air.

"Argh!" The Elf let out a pained scream as the curved blade of Nedra's weapon dug into her shoulder and hooked onto her. A powerful force drew her forward through the weapon and she was flying to Nedra's clone in the next direction.

"Cana!" Her comrades cried in shock when they saw that she had been caught. They could no longer hold back and unleashed devastating attacks onto Nedra's clone.

However, at that same moment, the magic shield that protected the fort suddenly let out a loud cracking sound. Heads turned upwards to find a gigantic spider web-like crack spreading over the shield as it was constantly bombarded. With the latest volley, a breaking sound rang out as the shot from the single most powerful cannon of the Blood Breaker broke through the magic shield.

Several A ranks from the rebels' side floated over the fort and one of them spoke. "Surrender now, or you will all be wiped out!" The voice of the A rank Dark Elf was loud and resounded through the entire fort.

A lull fell over the fort as everyone paused. The words of the Dark Elf hung heavy in the hearts of the people who heard it. Many weaker Elves had already begun to lay down their arms as they knew that it was very unlikely for them to turn the situation around.

The stronger ones however were more devoted to the empire that they had sworn their service to. They were much more hesitant, while the A ranks outright refused to surrender.

"Spare those who lay down their arms. Kill the rest!" The order was given and the rebels suddenly went all out! Spells and all types of warrior techniques lit up the sky and caused the air to gain a buzz that showed how energetic the ambient mana in the air had become.

Bang! Bang!

As the mages and warriors fought below, the secondary and tertiary armaments of the airships in the sky fired continuously, breaking and destroying the defensive magic cannons and formations of the fortress.

The strikes were extremely accurate and did not cause any unnecessary chaos among the rebels. When the defenders saw this, they immediately moved to attack the airships. Now that their magic shield had been breached, they did not have anything stopping them from throwing themselves at the airships.

A curtain of powerful and destructive spells launched forward, flying straight up at the seven airships that made up the attacking force of the rebels. However, when they reached a certain distance, the foundations that made up the spells fizzled and the weaker spells were immediately scattered, turning into turbulent elemental mana.

The strength of the stronger spells dropped a few notches, and crashed harmlessly against the magic shield of the airships, not even causing a single explosion.

"More! Don't stop casting! Whatever is powering their ship must have a finite reserve!" The defenders rallied themselves and continued their efforts to bring down the airship, but in the next couple of minutes, their efforts came unpaid. Their numbers were constantly reducing as the smaller magic cannon batteries of the airships turned their firepower to them, instantly causing heavy casualties.

Boom! Boom! BOOOOOOM!

The battle between Leon, Nedra and the A rank defenders had become even more heated. Leon had emerged from the underground space he had teleported to and joined up with Nedra. Nedra was still controlling River, but with Leon's arrival a huge burden was lifted from her shoulders. The reinforcements from the A ranks of the rebels also helped a lot.

"Nedra!" Leon called out as one of Nedra's clones beheaded the bow wielding Elf. The clone spun around and blocked a spear strike while nodding in thanks to Leon.

Leon on the other hand had a mini tornado around his hands. He was fighting hand to hand with the Elves. Each time his fist or palm came into contact with the enemy, a resounding smack would ring out and the Elf would receive heavy external and internal damage.

Leon utilize a combination of wind, water and earth magic to deal with the opponents around him. Funny enough, this aspect was where the Elves should have actually held the advantage, but with some quick moves from Leon, plus the fact that he was at a superior level than them, he was easily able to keep them suppressed.

Whoosh!

Leon waved his hands and a strong wind blew around him, pushing back the Elves that tried to launch a joint attack on him. Dozens of stone bullets were shot out together with the wind blast, causing some injuries to the Elves.

Shuaa!

Mist rose and Leon's body vanished within the mist. The Elves had already seen this move once before and quickly used magic to disperse the mist. However, unlike before, Leon was nowhere to be found.

"Looking for me?" Leon appeared behind the strongest Elf of the group he was fighting. Before the man could turn around, Leon's fingers dug into his back and grasped his spine before pulling it out and ending his life in one smooth motion. Even if the other person was an A rank, the chances of surviving such an attack were basically null.

Leon paused when he killed the Elf. The blood running out of his body floated up, turning into a scarlet stream that pooled together to form a red sphere.
