Boom! Boom! Boom!

A flurry of explosions shook the brightly lit cavern that Leon and Jet were fighting in. Fire bloomed and space cracked. Darkness spread and the enemies were debilitated.

The duo were currently fighting against a massive pack of Ice Wolves on the forty eighth floor. This was the boss room so there were a lot of creatures. Glowing shards of ice stuck out of the floor, walls and ceilings of the gigantic cavern that they were fighting in, lighting up the place.

Awooooo!

A loud, ear splitting howl tore through the air, and the wolves that had been fighting stopped and pulled back. The alpha of the pack, the Ice Wolf King, stepped forward. It was massive, standing at around twelve meters in height. The wolf king possessed the ability to alter its size, so it had taken its largest form which granted it a sizeable boost in overall power and speed.

The hulking beast slowly stalked forward, its shoulders poised high and its head held low as it regarded its enemies. Ice shards hung off its thick white fur, making dings as they swung around. Its intelligence was clearly very high, as it did not attack for a time, instead choosing to wait and watch. It had used its subordinates to probe the two intruders earlier so that it could see their power.

Crack!

Cracks splintered from the ground underneath the feet of the wolf king and it sprung forward, its form turning into a white blur that quickly approached Jet. It had apparently pinned him as the weaker target even though his rank was higher than Leon's on a scale basis. Jet sneered in distaste as he noticed this. He snapped his fingers and two mini black holes appeared on either side of him. They were as small as eyeballs, but the power they carried was insane. This was a new spell that he had learnt on a lower floor where they had to fight a swarm of insect monsters. It had also been the trigger for his Space magic skill to evolve from Intermediate to Advanced level.

The two black orbs of shrunken and condensed space shot out, a wild, ominous howl screeching in their wake as they tore the very fabric of space apart in their passage. Leon watched this with intrigue. He wondered if he would be able to do the same thing with Gravity magic when its level was high enough.

A blizzard was summoned around the wolf king, spawning an endless barrage of ice shards that peppered the space between in and Jet. The space bombs were snagged by the ice shards and detonated, resulting in two massive orbs of twisting, violent space spawning and consuming everything that they touched. When they finally exhausted the mana that made them up, two two meter deep craters were left in the spot where they had been detonated. The wolf king was unharmed and it sped past the craters quickly.

All this took place in the span of just five seconds. This was very quick to a lot of weaker people that were watching, and they were in awe at the might displayed by this magnificent beast.

Dark light flickered past the wolf king's sharp eyes for a moment and it came to an abrupt halt. Walls of ice rose up and encased it in a pyramid shaped shield just before two large figures came speeding by. Two Armored Centaur Generals charged by, their glaives spinning in their hands. They swung against the ice wall, digging in deep grooves, but not being able to break through the shield.

Crack!

Two spikes of ice jutted out of the icy ground and stabbed straight through the two summons, swiftly ending them. The wolf king growled, baring its teeth and Leon before jumping back. It had recognized that Jet would also not be easy to deal with. But it was still insistent on taking him down first. It howled and commanded its subordinates to attack Leon and keep his summons at bay before turning its attention back to the dark haired human. Jet also gazed deeply at the wolf king. Leon had not made any extravagant moves, meaning that he did not plan on taking on the boss this time.

"Let's get down to business." Jet cracked his knuckles and a portal appeared beside him. A large Torch Tiger that was about 1.5 meters large stepped out calmly. It was the manifestation of the dungeon consciousness that had been in charge of the Torch Dungeon he had taken down. With that one being the first, a multitude of other Torch Tigers began to swarm out from several other portals that had appeared. It seemed he would be going all out. Fire against Ice.

The Torch Tigers immediately began brewing fireballs and breathing fire, melting all the ice around them. Jet had seen what had happened to Leon's two Centaur Generals and he was not keen on getting skewered by ice.

Awoooooo!

The wolf king howled again and its white fur glowed brightly. A blue mark on its forehead glowed brightly as it summoned even more strength from the depths of its core. The air froze around it, with icicles hanging in the air as if they were mere illusions.

Whoosh!

Boom!

The first barrage of fireballs was sent forth, but they were met with a sturdy wall of ice. The barrage of fireballs continued to fly as Jet thought of a path to take. Two tiny space bombs were brewing at the tips of his fingers again. The spells used up a large amount of mana, but he could handle it well.

Boom!

The ice wall was thinning by the moment when Jet finally saw his opening. He sent the two space bombs on a winding path that passed the openings in the curtain of icicles. With a spectacular explosion of black lights, raging winds, and twisting space, the bombs landed on the ice wall.
