Chapter 31: Team Establishment

This pistol was clearly smaller than the average pistol. The handle was covered in sheepskin, making the grip softer and preventing the palms from sweating and slipping.

Shi Man picked up the pistol. It was just the right size for her to hold. The muzzle was slightly smaller, but judging from the sound of the gun being loaded, it was not just a pretty accessory.

"I saw that the guns you picked out weren't very handy. I happened to have the chance to acquire this gun, so I bought it," Sean said casually.

Although Sean did not describe the origin of the gun, Shi Man knew that it must not have been easy to get hold of it. She was very satisfied with this subordinate.

There were also some bullets and cartridges in the box and a dagger with the same rose pattern. The dagger's outer shell was also inlaid with red diamonds.

Shi Man picked up the dagger and gestured twice. The weight, length, and sharpness were all okay.

"I also modified the gun and added a dagger," Sean said as if forging a suitable dagger was as easy as buying groceries.

Shi Man smiled and poked Sean's chest. "Not bad. You deserve encouragement."

"Ahem, I was just doing my job." Sean's dark face flushed.

Shi Man didn't know how to reward her subordinates, so she could only let them relax. "Take a break tonight. Call your brothers over and play in Nightless City. Open a few more SVIPs and spend as much as you want. Boss will pay."

Hearing their boss's words, the lackeys below instantly cheered.

Sean was helpless. He had wanted to go back to the base and reorganize everyone tonight. He had been too laid back in G City recently. But since his boss had said so, he had to do it.

Shi Man looked at everyone's happy expressions and her thoughts returned to the past. Although they were all colleagues in the organization in the past, they were also competitors. Not to mention having fun together, they rarely even had a good meal.

"Boss." Amidst the laughter, Sean handed Shi Man a communication phone. "We often go to places without cell towers to carry out missions. We can't contact one another using ordinary phones. This is a satellite phone. The channel has been set. If you want to contact us, call me anytime."

Shi Man nodded. He was quite thoughtful. "I won't take them. My brother will be suspicious when he sees them later. Send these to my room for me."

She meant the bullets and the communication device.

After Sean expressed his understanding, Shi Man left.

On her way back to the private room, she accidentally bumped into someone she knew.

"Just play with us. Is it difficult? Isn't that what you do?"

The person who spoke was a boy from Shi Man's class. There were males and females in the group. They were surrounding a waitress and making things difficult for her. It seemed like they wanted to harass her.

"That's right, Su Tang. Play with us today. I guarantee that you'll get more than what you earn in a month," another boy said.

Wait, Su Tang?

Shi Man, who had already passed by, returned and took a closer look. The waitress whom they had surrounded was really Su Tang. She remembered that this plot was not in the novel.

Shi Man thought about it carefully. Indeed, in the novel, when Su Tang was working as a waitress, she met a wretched old man who wanted to force himself on her. Su Tang resisted with all her might and was saved by the male lead.

But this… was clearly not a plot from a novel.

In order to observe the direction of the incident, Shi Man decided to stay and hide in the dark to see what would happen.

"Get out of the way. I still have to work." It was rare for Su Tang to be stubborn, but one could hear that her voice was still trembling.

"Work?" A girl took the lead and laughed mockingly with the others. "Your job is to sell yourself, right?"

"That's right. It doesn't matter who she sells it to. Young Master Du, she probably refused to go with you because she looks down on you." Another girl fanned the flames.

"Damn it, you bitch, you're looking down on me, aren't you?" Young Master Du threw a wad of money in Su Tang's face. "Is it enough?"

Shi Man knew this person. In school, he often pestered Su Tang and made all kinds of dirty jokes at her. Every time Su Tang was bullied by Fang Han, he would say a few words. It looked like he was helping Su Tang out, but in fact, he was looking down on her.
