Chapter 607: He Had Been Cheated On, And His Entire Family Had Been Cheated On (1)

Shi Yao’s body shuddered instinctively, and she turned to look at Lin jiage, “What... What’s Wrong?”

Lin Jiage was still as silent as ever, but the strength in his grip on her wrist didn’t show any signs of relaxing.

He only glanced at her for a moment before standing up and kicking the chair behind him to the side. After which, he dragged Shi Yao to the chair he was sitting on earlier and sat her down on it.

“Lin Jiage, what are you going to do...”Shi Yao was completely confused by Lin Jiage’s series of actions.

However, before she could finish her words, Lin Jiage had already propped himself up on one knee, half-kneeling in front of her, and grabbed her ankle.

In an instant, Shi Yao’s voice disappeared without a trace.

For a moment, she was unable to react in time. She looked at her leg first, then at Lin Jiage. When she finally recovered from her shock, she was just about to ask him, “What’s Wrong?”When before she could even finish her sentence.., she saw Lin Jiage taking out a box of medicine from his pocket.

Shi Yao recognized the medicine. It was the famous Yunnan White Medicine, and it had the effect of stopping bleeding, healing wounds, and reducing inflammation and swelling.

It was only when Lin jiage unscrewed the cap of the bottle and carefully applied the medicine on Shi Yao’s leg that Shi Yao realized that he had actually used both hands, without any hesitation, she immediately asked, “Your right hand hasn’t been examined yet. How did you...”

Before she could finish her words, he raised his head and glanced at her, “It’s fine.”

He seemed to have noticed her displeasure, and fearing that she would continue to harass him over this matter, he paused for three seconds before adding, “It’s fine as long as you don’t use too much strength.”

If Shi Yao wanted to object, she would be killed before she could even reach her throat.

The room fell silent once more. Shi Yao stared at Lin Jiage’s hand that was applying the medicine for a moment, and the more she looked at it, the more familiar she felt. It was as if she had seen it somewhere before.

However, before she could figure out where this sense of familiarity came from, Lin Jiage had already applied medicine for her.

Shi Yao stared at the band-aid on her shallow wound for a moment, and then, as if recalling something, she raised her head and asked, “Back then, did you say that you went out to buy medicine?”

Lin Jiage didn’t say a word, but he replied with a soft ‘mm’. After which, he stood up, bent over, and dusted off the dust on his knees. He turned to Shi Yao and said, “Let’s go.”

Without saying a word, Shi Yao followed Lin Jiage out of the private room.

After leaving the barbeque shop, they arrived at the pedestrian street.

The street was filled with people during the day, but due to the dark sky, it was exceptionally quiet.

Shi Yao and Lin Jiage walked to the side of the road one after the other.

After walking for about a hundred meters, Shi Yao lifted her head and glanced at Lin Jiage’s back.

Back then, he had gone out to buy some medicine... but before he left, she was proudly telling them about the wound on her leg... could it be that he was unhappy because of what she had said?

But why was he unhappy?

Shi Yao frowned slightly. After thinking for a moment, she vaguely understood what was going on.

In the depths of her heart, Shi Yao hesitated for a moment before she quickened her pace and caught up to Lin Jiage. Standing shoulder to shoulder with him, she broke the silence, “You... Are you angry? And you’re still angry at me?”

Lin Jiage was taken aback for a moment, but he remained silent.

However, from his expression, Shi Yao could tell that she had guessed correctly. She continued, “You’re angry because of the cut on my leg, and you tried your best to squeeze blood out of it, am I right?”
