"You guys really took your time, I thought you weren't going to come…" Janet spoke as she grabbed Lisa's hand.
The tournament was going to start tomorrow, and a few teams had just arrived. This really seemed to affect the mood around.
"What could we do? You know what happened back in Ishtar.." Lisa sighed thinking about it. The mishap had really affected everyone, especially their team since they had lost August. His whereabouts were unknown. They had been delaying their departure from Ishtar in hopes of August's return somehow.
But, in the end, they couldn't any longer or they would have missed the competition.
"How is everyone else?" Lisa asked with a smile as she looked behind Janet. But, there was no one around.
"We have a little situation, how about you come with me. I will tell you everything.." Janet spoke as she took Lisa with her and explained their encounter with the injured girl.
It took a couple of minutes for them to arrive at the room.
"I brought her!" Janet being the excited one opened the door with a smile on her face, while Lisa just shook her head.
"Sshh! You will wake her up.." Elly's voice sounded in Janet's ear, and she turned her head to see Elly looking at her while pointing at the little girl who seemed to have fallen asleep on the bed.
"Ah.." Janet let out a light squeak, and then shut her mouth.
Elly shook her head at the girl's antics before shifting her gaze towards Lisa with a smile. She then walked up to her and then hugged her. It had been a while since she last saw her.freewebno vel.co m

"You guys excluding me?" Aria's voice rang out from the balcony as she walked into the room hearing the commotion inside.
"Come then.." Janet opened a hand towards Aria, and she joined them with a smile.

In another remote corner of the City..
"Is there anything wrong?" Eren asked as he looked at Axel.
The two of them had been living in the City in silence for a while now.
"Odd…sure..something is indeed odd.." Axel muttered with a frown on his face as he went through the information that had been sent to him. He had been keeping an eye out on the city, and gathering as much information as possible not only to get help for his cause but also to help Max out.
"What do you mean? I don't find anything odd.." Eren asked with raised brows.
"The movements of these people seemed to be dying out of the past few days. These organizations are the one linked with Talia. And, Max had previously mentioned the sightings of Demons there.."
"But, didn't they hide themselves from the very beginning? I don't think there were any more of Demons there to begin with. They are all just regular people.." Eren spoke in confusion. Over the course of the past few days, he had learned about a lot of things by working together with Axel. He still had no idea what Demon in literal sense meant, and same was for other things. But, he was assuming it to be a group and so on.
"Yes, there were no more of them there to begin with. In that case, what are they afraid of?" Axel frowned. He couldn't understand it. There seemed to be no reason for these people to be afraid of when everything was fine there.
'Even Talia seemed to have softened the search for me. It seems she has more important things to look after..something seems to be going on here..' Axel thought as he slowly started to dig deeper into things to look for more information which would better help him in understanding the situation.
'Hmmn..' Axel frowned a little when something came into his view. It was information he had received from Naze. That guy really showed up randomly, and talked a few things before disappearing.
Still, most of the things he told were giving Axel insight about the situation on the Ancient Families side in Ocien.
From what he could see, there seemed to be a new group of people who had arrived in the Ocien from Ancient Families. And, they were going to supervise the tournament this time around.
But, what was worth noting here was the fact that Naze had spoken about the leader of this group with utmost seriousness. And, he had labelled him in a single word, Madman.
The reason for this was something that was not pleasing to hear. Naze had told him about the madman's actions of the past. He was a cruel butcherer who seemed to enjoy slaughter, and would kill any number of people without hesitation if he was suspicious of them having connections with demons, not to mention, being one themselves. That would surely result in a fate worse than death.
"Is he the reason they are so silent?" Axel questioned himself.
"Spot on!" A voice suddenly rang in the room startling both Axel and Eren. They immediately turn towards the source only to see Naze laying on the couch and eating the apple kept in the fruit basket.
"How many times do I have to tell you to stop appearing like that?" Axel asked with a dark face as he slowly released his hand from the back of his waist which had already grabbed his handgun. He really had almost shot this guy to death.
"Just try, I don't think you can kill me.." Naze replied with a smile.
"Shut up with that nonsense, and tell me what you meant by spot on?" Axel asked with a serious look on his face.
"Well, you are right. Those guys are probably scared of him. I mean why won't they. That b*stard has already started to kill people around. If he even smells a bit of demon odor at those places, he would wipe the place clean with their blood." Naze laughed, "No wonder they are hiding with their tails between their legs.."
