Chapter 788 - Demon World

"Hahaha!!! So, this is what they were upto?" A laughter rang out of nowhere, and everyone's expression changed. None of them had sensed any presence around, and even when they tried to, nothing worked.

'Has help arrived?' Victor frowned, but for some reason, he didn't feel like that was the case. Instead, he was having a bad feeling about it.

"What now? It doesn't seem like we have any way of escaping.." Faryl had a grim look on his face. Even he felt that the newcomer wasn't a friendly one.

"Who are you?!" Arnold looked around with vigilance in his eyes. Even he was feeling an extreme sense of danger, and a fear seemed to be emerging from the depth of his heart.

"Huh? A transformed Demon?" A surprise could be felt in the voice of the man who had spoken, and the next instant, several figures flashed in the surroundings, and they were surrounded.

A middle aged man stood in front of Arnold scanning him with a curious gaze, and there was a slight surprise in his eyes.

"To think a human at your level would be able to achieve true transformation. Not bad, whose under are you, kid?" The person asked as he looked at Arnold with a smile on his face. And, an eerily aura had begun to leak out of him.

This change immediately eased Arnold's expression by a little while Victor and Faryl's faces sank. They knew they were doomed now.

"I am under the 11th Elder.." Arnold respectfully spoke as he glanced at them. He knew there were divisions among the Demons as well, and he definitely didn't want to get involved in it. Luckily, the Ovens had a few cards under them as well, the 11th Elder was neutral on the surface, and hence he was a good medium for him to use. But, the reality was that he was part of the same factions that Oven's were.

"Oh..I see..but what were you doing here?" The man asked with a little frown on his face. They had just annihilated a group of humans from the Ancient Families not far away from this place, and it seemed that they were defending this route as well.

Arnold's lips curled up into a smile as he glanced at Faryl and Victor. He knew that Victory was his now.

On the other side, both Victor and Faryl's heart sank.

"You leave…I will try to buy time.." Victor muttered in a low voice. He was saved by Bahamut and had lived. Even though he didn't want to die, he was going to be returning the favour today.

"Leave? Do you think we have the ability?" Faryl shook his head. There might have been a chance if there wasn't that middle aged man here, but with him, they had nowhere to run. He was giving the same feeling to Faryl which the Elders from his family did.

Everything was futile in front of such strength.

"Those damn geezers, they dare to use our territory as they please.." A terrifying aura erupted from the middle aged man as Arnold finally informed him everything.

"There is no need for you to make a move, Sir. Let me deal with them.." Arnold really wanted to kill these annoying b*stards with his own hands. And, right now, he truly had the ability, and even had assurance behind him. Nothing could go wrong.

As he took a step forward, a pressure erupted from the middle aged man behind and both Faryl and Victor spat out blood as their eyes rolled behind. And, their figures slowly crashed onto the ground.

Arnold frowned a little as he turned his head to look at the middle aged man.

"It's a waste to just kill them like this. I have a better use for them.." The middle aged man smiled. He had recognized August, and knew of his identity. Secondly, all these kids could be said to be in trouble because of the Ancient Families.

How could he let them die so easily?

He would like to see if those Old geezers would let these kids die for nothing. He knew that if they allowed them to die, people's trust in them, and their reputation would take a major hit.

"But..for my..mission.." Arnold was not willing to let this go.

The middle aged man frowned when he saw Arnold interrupt him.

"I will talk with the 11th Elder. Besides, they are as good as dead, there is nothing to worry.."

Arnold could only shut his mouth when the old man put it in that way.

"Let's go.." The middle aged man waved his hand, and then their figures disappeared along with Faryl, August, and Victor.

Arnold's face was dark, and as he was about to leave, his face suddenly turned pale. He noticed that there was one person missing the entire team.

It was Arthur.freewe(b)novel.c(o)m

He suddenly remembered that August had kicked the guy away into the distance.

"Damn it!"

He immediately went towards that direction, and his face turned dark when noticed a trail. It was clear that someone had just gone through this place not long ago.

"No! He has to die!!" Arnold's eyes were red as he sped up, and chased after the trails. And, a few minutes later, he roared in anger seeing the scene in front of him.

There was a river flowing through the forest, and the trails had stopped there. As for Arthur, there was no sight of him.

Arnold slowly calmed himself down. His transformation was about to revert back. He had reached his time limit. If Arthur sneaked up on him in that situation, then he would really be dead. So, he had to leave.

As for Arthur, well, Orena was Demon's territory.

'Let me see how you return back alive..' Arnold muttered inwardly as he looked around one more time before leaving.

….

Core Region, Orena,

"We are here…" Vandal spoke as he turned his head to glance at everyone.

The people around were seizing the place curiously as well. There have never been records of humans stepping into the core region of the Orena. So, they were obviously curious. But, the scene in front left them confused. There was nothing but forest around. To be honest, they had seen much more terrifying beasts earlier on their way, and yet nothing was here in the core region.

At this moment, Beli's voice rang from behind, "Proceed ahead…its been a while since I have returned.."

Vandal nodded, and then took a step and everyone's eyes widened when his figure suddenly disappeared.

But, this was only the beginning, another person followed behind, and similarly disappeared from everyone's sight.

'Is this the spatial pouch Max talked about?' A strange glow flashed in Mark's eyes as he slowly took a step ahead, and the next instant, the scene before his eyes changed as well.
