Chapter 755 - Reminder

Patriarch's Chamber, Yule Family, Ocien.

Old man Sun calmly sat on his chair as he looked at the uninvited guests in front of him. This really had taken him by surprise.

"So, let me get this straight..you want my help?" The Old man asked as he looked at the group of kids. To be honest, it wasn't a bad deal, considering the identity of the kids. It might help him sometime in future.

As for the group which was in front of him, it was Max and the other guys.

"Are you sure this person can help?" Synthia whispered to Max, and the other people seemed to have their doubts as well.

But, Max knew how strong this old man was. To be honest, even if the Ancient Family sent someone to look for Rihanna, that person won't even come close to this old man in front of them.

Max knew that this was his best choice right now.

As for the Old man being exposed as the Patriarch of the Yule Family, it was useless now. Ever since he was first caught by the Progenitors, there was probably no hope for him to hide again.

This was the reason that he had been lying down quietly ever since his return. He hadn't even paid a visit to the Crimson as it might give their existence away.

"But, what do I get in helping you guys?" The Old man suddenly asked with a smile. Benefits hadn't been discussed as of yet, and he obviously wasn't going to do anything for free.

"Of course, we won't ask you to do anything for free," Max said as he looked at him, "You can consider these people owing you a favor for your help. I am sure you know that if they succeed their family, it would really be helpful for you in future.."

Everyone's eyes immediately turned towards Max. This was their first time hearing this. They definitely weren't aware of this favor.

"What? Do you not want to save her?" Max asked with a snort. They wanted him to abandon the mission, and now they didn't even want to owe a favor in return for finding Rihanna.

Even though they were slightly unsatisfied, no one argued.

"Well, that sure is fine with me. But, what about you?" The Old man asked with a smile as he looked at Max.

Max's face turned a bit dark. He knew the old man wanted to take advantage of this situation, and make Max owe him one too.

"Didn't we have an understanding old man? I helped you last time too.." Max tried to remind him of what happened a few days ago.

"Help? More like 'use'." The Old man snorted. Even though the Old man didn't mind being used as both Max and him had the same objective in mind, it still didn't change the fact that Max tried to manipulate him in doing things.

'Did you forget the bet? I am treating you respectfully…do you really want me to say it in front of everyone..' Max's voice suddenly rang beside the Old man's ear, and he was reminded of the bet he lost. This was the main reason that Max had confidently come here.

His word's made the Old man's face twitch, but he soon regained his composure.

"Anyway, you guys can go. I will look for her after I am done with my work.." The Old man waved his hand.

"Why are you not moving now?" Synthia got up with a frown.

"Let's go.." Max dragged Synthia out of the place, and they quietly sneaked out of the Yule House in the cover of the dark.

"Why didn't you ask him to move right now?" Synthia finally removed her arm from Max's grasp and glared at him.

"There is too much trouble already. Can you please use your head, and try not to cause anymore?" Max stared at her with a frown on his face, "Look at them, they already get it.."

Synthia turned her head and could definitely see that others were not panicking like her.

It was only then that she realized the crux of the issue. Even if they asked for help from the family, it was going to take a day or two or even more. But, the Old man would probably move in an hour or two. It was still better no matter how you look at it.

"Can he really do it?" Bell asked as he looked at Max.

"That person is as strong as the Lords of you people's families. Do you think they are going to send the Lord to find Rihanna?" Max asked as she stared at them, and their eyes immediately widened.

They never thought that the Old man was that strong.

And, just like Max said, there was no way that the Lords would personally come to search for Rihanna. At best it would be a team of Supreme Tier Mages.

"Bullsh*t! How can such a strong individual exist outside the Ancient Family?!" Synthia didn't seem to believe it. To her, it seemed that Max was just lying in order to not quit the mission.

"Go and find it if you don't believe me. But, this is the best you are getting out of me. Besides, do you people treat this mission as a joke? Cancel it because we lost one person? How many other people do you think we have lost until now?" Max asked as he glared at them.

This definitely left them tongue tied. They had no idea.

"36!! Did their lives not matter to you? They are allowed to be killed, but not Rihanna?" Max snorted, "I know her importance, that is the reason I am giving her preferential treatment. But, you people definitely aren't thinking in that line.."

"I am sure Rihanna treated this like some kind of game as well. I can escape if something happens. My family will rescue me. That was what she thought before going into danger without properly communicating with anyone.."

Even though these people wanted to retort, they knew they would be lying if they said they were not as Max portrayed them.

"Listen to me clearly, this mission won't be cancelled. Even if I am the last person standing, I will still do it all alone. You guys can leave if you want to.." He said with a serious look on his face.

This time, he really was pissed because of their resistance.

He had to remind the people who the boss here was.
