Chapter 676 - Meeting
Max travelled through the streets heading back towards the base. There were several thoughts going through his head.
'This surely turned into a much more complex matter.' He muttered inwardly with a frown.
But, if he thought about it seriously, he felt that this could be a major turning point for them.
Max knew that they were the ones on the weaker end.
If they had an opportunity, they should surely use it to weaken them. Not to mention, after Beli pulled out the artifact, it had gone from an option to a necessity.
The only problem was how the rest of the people were going to react to it.
Years of hatred was there between both sides. Would people accept it so easily?
Max shook his head with a bitter smile.
Roxleys and Barnes were the members of the same race and same society. Yet even when it was turn for them to settle their feuds, there were objections.
And, here we were talking about the feud between two different races which spanned since almost the beginning of time.
This was just ridiculous…
People were definitely going to object, and the voices definitely would louder than ever.
If Max wasn't strong enough, he would suppressed for sure.
If he wanted this work, he should at least be in a position where he could make the people follow his command.
'I will have to use this mission.' A plan began to form in his mind.
If he could use this mission to destroy the Dark Society to build his fame in the Ancient family and pull the younger generations towards him, then it would certainly be a major step towards his goal.
As long as he could garner enough support, his voice would be heard.
He was sure that his Master would support him and for some reason, he felt that the Zatch Lord favored him as well. Then the Von family should support him as well. They were definitely a major role player in this.
He could almost be sure of two Ancient Families being in his favor.
But, the other three…
He sighed and just shook his head for now.

On the other side..
"What's going on here?" Wilson asked as he looked at Mark.
"Well, both of them are blaming themselves," Mark replied with a sigh.
They were out here to see Lear, and had crossed his mother's room when they heard the commotion.
Lesia seemed to have just gotten up, and she immediately broke out in tears after hearing what situation Lear was in. She blamed herself for being the cause of all of this.
It was then that Lora arrived as well.
She suddenly took all the blame for the incident saying that it was all her fault.
There was no explanation from her, but she continued to repeat that it was her fault while breaking down in tears as well.
Lesia could only hug her, trying to comfort her. But, she still couldn't help her tears.
Wilson and Mark then moved ahead towards Lear's room where they found Ander as well.
"You are here to see him?" Ander asked the two with a smile on his face. But, they could see that he was worried and tired.
It must have been due to the fact that Lear wasn't recovering and his health showed slight signs of deteriorating.
He was strong and even the Lord of one of the Strongest families and yet he was helpless here.
Suddenly, a message flashed in front of them.
It was sent to everyone in the group.

The two looked at each other, and could feel that something serious was about to go down.

Time passed, and soon the sun had gone down..
"Am I dreaming?" Terry asked as he looked at Eren.
"Probably not.." Eren shook his head with a weird look on his face.
For some reason, every missing person was appearing one by one. Hell, there were even students from Ethera pouring in. Mr. Cool was here with his two girls and another guy who had recently been added to the list of his followers.
"What happened to you?" Eren asked as he looked at Wilson who was still in his wheelchair.
"I tripped.." Wilson replied casually.
Everyone's face twitched.
No one was buying it.
At this moment, August arrived. Even though he wasn't tied to a wheelchair, he was badly battered as well with bandages all around him.
His appearance made people frown once again.
"What happened to you ?" Eren asked him as well.
"I tripped.." August replied with a serious look on his face. And, people's faces turned dark.
A few minutes later, Max arrived as well. And, he was in a half dead state as well.
Eren looked at him and spoked, "You tripped, didn't you?"
"How did you know?" Max asked in surprise. He didn't know why but everyone's face had turned ugly for some reason.
They felt these guys had planned it and were deliberately messing with them.
"Where is Axel?" Max asked as he looked around.
"Don't know, he ran off to somewhere in the middle of the competitions." Eren shrugged.
"He hasn't return?" Max asked in surprise, "I am sure he should have returned from the hospital by now."
"He came to the hospital?" Wilson asked with a frown. That guy sure didn't come to see him.
"Not yours, he went to the one with Erina," Max replied. But, this only made Wilson's expression even more ugly.
"That guy…"
Max was about to explain that he was the one to have sent him there, but before he could do so, Axel had arrived.
"Everyone's here?" Axel asked with a smile when his face fell on Wilson who was glaring at him. "What the hell are you looking like that for?
"You answer me!! What the hell were you doing in the hospital?!" Wilson asked him with a frown.
Axel frowned. He sure didn't like this guy's tone.
"I was-" A scene suddenly flashed through Axel's eyes and he paused.
The pause immediately attracted everyone's attention. They could smell something interesting.
"What's with the pause you b*stard?" Wilson tilted his head as he looked at him with deathly gaze.
