Chapter 623 - Trying To Breakthrough

The moon was shining in the sky. It was a little foggy and the night was obviously cold. It was getting late, and there were less and less people out on the street.

And, the one present were unaware, clearly having no idea about the clash happening in the dark around them.

...

Warehouse Yard, Trinity.

A few shadows could be seen moving in dark all around the Warehouse Yard of the Yule Family.

"Look around!"

"Don't let her get away!"

"Move!"

Neo had a vein popping up on his face. He really was angry. The Ring of fire released by Erina had really caught him and his people off guard.

Hell, they even lost sight of her in the mess allowing her to get away. But, things still hadn't gone out of their control.

When Erina had come in contact with Neo, his man had moved to surround their territory. She still had to be somewhere around here.

"Don't let her get away at any cost. I don't care what you do, but she shouldn't leave the place!! Kill her if she can't be captured!!" Neo screamed in anger.

His attempt to fight Wilson was still fine. There were a lot of reasons that he could use to get away with even if Wilson complained.

First of all he did things within the rules of the competition. That alone should be more than enough to save his neck. Secondly, Wilson had left the House. He didn't have any right to complain.

And, even if he left those two important points, he could still say that the poison wasn't potent enough, it was all a misunderstanding. And, he only fought Wilson because the two were on opposite sides.

But, what now?

He didn't have any reasoning.

The Scarlet Lord would chop him off, if he ever found out about it.

He had to get her at any cost. If he couldn't close her mouth, he would open her neck up.

There was no way he would be leaving her alive. As for the Artifact, he would just go looking for Wilson.

"Go and move in that direction, I will search there…"

Two men split apart near one of the storehouses and went looking in two different directions.

They had failed to notice a head peeking at them through the small opening inside a container standing beside the building.

"Phew!" Erina breathed in relief for the moment.

'What should I do?' She muttered inwardly with a sigh. Her phone and everything else was destroyed when she exploded with flames earlier.

Luckily, she had the habit of wearing a special kind of suit which allowed flames to pass through it. She always wore it when she was outside, for casual activities. If not for the good habit, she would be walking around buck naked now.

'I can't depend on anyone. I will have to get out myself. And, I need to hurry.' She muttered inwardly.

And, it honestly made sense. If she didn't hurry up, the chances of her being caught would just increase. Not to mention, there was a chance that the other party would call more people in and strengthen the exits.

She would definitely be doomed if that happened.

In the end, she steeled her resolve and slowly got out of the container.? She made sure that there was no one around, and then moved.

Her steps were not as sneaky as others, but it sure didn't make much noise.

"The Exit.." Erina's eyes lit up when she finally arrived at one of the exis. It was actually unguarded.

But, she surely wasn't enough of a fool to fall for it. They were baiting her. It was clear.

Yet, Erina couldn't help but feel tempted. She knew it was bait. But, if she could get out then it would be all over. She would be free and then it would be the death of that guy.

'Should I go for it?' Erina contemplated with scrunched brows. And, kept looking around to see if there were any signs of movement around.

Her worry remained that the longer she stayed here, the harder it would be for her to get out.

In the end, she gritted her teeth and made a dash as her body erupted in flames.

And, surely people were hiding around lying to ambush her.

A total of four people appeared around, and attacked her.

Erina immediately clasped her hands together, and the flames around her seemed to gain a different kind of vigor.

'Don't fail me now..' She muttered with a grim look on her face.

Erina didn't know what had happened to her, but recently she had been feeling a strange kind of sensation in her flames. It was as if they were mutating.

She had then crafted a new true spell with these mutated flames which she had displayed earlier. It was that ring of flames. But, that thing was just a half baked product, she hadn't actually perfected it. It was just a mere show of what was about to come.

"Roarrr!!!"? A roar resounded from the flames, and a second later a flaming avatar appeared like before. But, it wasn't the end.

A huge halo of flames appeared behind the figure and an exquisite armor of flames formed around it. And, two more hands emerged from its body. With four hands in total, the giant falling creature didn't give the feeling of a Demon but more of a God.

There seemed to be something pure and holy about it.

Erina had already begun to sweat, but she still pushed herself to the line and a sword conjured in one of the figure's hands.

"Apollo's Will!''

The Avatar grabbed the sword with all four of its hands. Its eyes seemed to come to life as it looked at the four people beneath.

Even these people couldn't help but feel a bit intimidated.

And, the next instant, the sword moved in an upwards arc releasing a devastating crescent arc of flames.

"Boom!"

The exit immediately exploded into the flames and the explosion was strong enough to be seen around the entire city.

"Huff! Huff!" Erina panted as sweat dripped down her forehead. The flaming avatar soon dissipated and her steps faltered a bit. But, she still somehow managed to stay on her feet.

'I need to get out of here..' She told herself and began to move towards the gate.

"Swish!''

The sound of something tearing through the air entered Erina's ear, and her expression changed.

She immediately moved.

"Clang!"

A woman crashed down on the ground from above with a heavy sword

The shock from the impact immediately sent Erina flying behind. Her body rolled on the ground twice, before she managed to get herself on her feet and stop.

Her eyes dilated as she looked at the figure in front of her, it was actually a person she knew.

That dark skin with orange hairs. Her face had aged a bit, and she seemed to have even lost a bit of her weight. But, she was definitely her mother's servant, Anya.

She vividly remembered her as the lady had been there with them as a babysitter when her mother had fallen ill. But, she didn't last long on the job.

She only served as a babysitter for less than a year before quitting and disappearing after Erina's mother fell ill.

But, why was she here now?

Suddenly, footsteps entered Erina's ear. It was obvious that those people were coming after her after witnessing the blast.

She looked at Anya, but didn't dare to face her. After all, most of her mother's servants were at expert tier.

And this was at least a decade ago. She had no idea if she had improved and by how much.

She knew it would be a death wish to fight it out of here. Even if she could defeat her somehow, did she have time to do that with people behind her catching up?

Definitely a no…

She immediately decided to turn around and run back to look for a hiding spot.

"I heard you were looking for truths regarding your mother, girl."

Those words immediately stopped Erina dead in her tracks, and she slowly turned her head to look at Anya with a frown on her face.

"Don't you want to know what happened back then?" Anya smiled at her.

Erina began to feel that she was definitely related to the incident somehow. It was very odd how she quit the job a few months after her mother had fallen sick. And, looking at how she was attacking her, it was very evident that she didn't harbor any good feelings toward her.

"Grip!"

Erina frowned as she suddenly felt something tightening on her ankle.

She immediately looked below and saw that it was a chain with strange black colored runes engraved on it.

"Whoosh!"

Before she could even react, the chain was pulled and she crashed onto the ground face first.

"Thud!"

A frown appeared on Anya's face at the weird situation. She couldn't help but feel that it was some kind of plan on Erina's side. And, hence retreated a bit with her guard up.

But, the next instant, Erina's body was suddenly dragged at a lightning speed and it disappeared into the darkness of night.

And, it really made one's face twitch.. No matter what one said, that definitely gotta hurt.
