Chapter 619 - Clash

Trinity Academy…

A while ago…

Roman had just rushed out of the Academy in a state of rage, and an Elder immediately came towards him.

He was the Grand Elder of the Roxley House, and Melan's grandfather.

"Where is the enemy?" Roman asked as he looked at the elderly man.

"There are a few. There have been clashes all around. And, from the information coming, they are using attack and retreat strategy. I have already contacted the Union. They are sending reinforcements. The situation would be dealt with immediately." The elderly man reported.

At this moment, the elderly man's transmitter rang and his expression turned ugly when he heard the news.

"What's wrong?" Roman asked him with a frown.

"We have a few casualties among the Master Tier Mages while the 8th Elder seems to be heavily injured and is currently fighting with the enemy."

"I will send people to deal with them," The Elderly man further said, and two more elders appeared on his side.

"It''s fine, you people stay around to protect the place. I will deal with this man." Roman didn't even wait for their reply and immediately shot through the air towards the location of the battle.

The Grand Elder shook his head, and sighed. This was why even he preferred Melinda over him, this guy just couldn't work with a calm head.

….

On the other side, Ander came out from Academy.

He could clearly sense a fight taking place in the distance.

There were quite a few presences around, but it was hard to tell if anyone among them was his wife.

After all, there were only a few people who could see through Lesia's disguise. She could be said to be a specialist in disguising, and could easily earn the title of best spy if she went for it.

It was all due to her Variant element, it was hard to tell what kind of element it was.

But Lesia had referred to it as Beastman ability.

Hell, even Ander didn't know much about it. It was as if she was aware of using this ability on him one day. And, hence hid its information from him.

"Let's go this way…" Ander muttered as he chose a particular direction. It was the only direction which didn't seem to have any conflict breaking out.

He was sure that his wife wasn't retarded enough to deliberately go seeking for trouble.

…....

Clang!"

Two figures clashed high above in the air, and separated.

One of the men looked a bit old, and was pushed back farther than other after the two clashed.

This elderly man was even bleeding profusely. There was a deep cut on his chest. His breathing had turned a bit uneven, yet he still held onto his weapon. And, stood straight in front of his enemies.

The other person stood calmly in mid air as he gazed at the man. His eyes were deep red, and his daggers were still dripping down with fresh blood.

He was the Red Eye from the Dark Society.

"Aren't you a bit too loyal, 8th Elder?" He asked, looking at the bleeding man.

"A scum like you won't understand such a thing." The 8th Elder snorted at him in disdain.

"I truly won't, Senior. After all, does it make sense to die for someone else?" The guy asked with a laugh.

"Lonely people like you, won't understand what it means. Do you have anyone who would bet his life for you? Probably not. After all, a coward who runs aways won't have someone they could depend upon." The 8th Elder mocked him.

"You really want to die a second sooner if possible, don't you?" Red Eye let out a menacing smile on his face, and moved the next instant.

8th Elder's face turned grim, and he moved the saber in his hand to defend himself.

But, the next instant, his opponent's figure dissipated as their weapons clashed.

'Ilusion!' The 8th Elder immediately felt the hairs on his body rise, and a sharp whistling noise entered his ears from behind.

He immeditaely tried to turn around, but was a step too late.

The guy had already appeared behind him, and his dagger was plunging straight towards his chest again.

"Crackle!"

A yellow flash appeared above the sky, and the next moment, lightning struck.

The two people's eyes below immediately widened, and the duo scurried away.

When the bright flash dissipated, a man appeared standing there with his hands behind his back.

Red Eye looked at the person, and smiled, "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, my Lord."

It was as if he was already expecting Roman's presence here.

"My Lord…" The 8th Elder looked at Roman from behind. There was grim look on his face.

"It's fine, you have done enough. Retreat for now," Roman said as he kept glaring at the guy in front of him.

The 8th Elder looked at the guy once before nodding to Roman, and leaving the place on his command.

"Now, then you f*ck*ng piece of sh*t, should we get down to some interrogation?" Roman asked with a menacing smile on his face.

The Assassin's face twitched, he was not expecting the man to curse like this condidering his status.

"You rea-"

The man barely opened his mouth when a fist enclad in lightning came crashing towards him.

"Who the f*ck allowed you to speak!!"

It seems Roman had a bit of problem here. After all, if he was planning to interrogate the person without allowing him to speak, that would certainly be a sight to see.

….

Melind had been waiting for a while, and with each passing second, her frown deepeened.

Fanet had gone out a minute earlier to meet with the Supervisor sent by the Ancinet Families for the competition.

'What's taking them so long?' Melinda muttered inwardly.

It was certainly taking Logan too long to return.

In the end, She got up herself and walked out of the room. She didn't have the patience to send another person after them.

She walked out of the place, and went down the stairs. But, didn't even see Lora's shadow around.

She wasn't with her friends.

This immediately made her frown to turn even deeper as she began to have an ominous foreboding
