Chapter 191: The River Came Along?
「……it’s dirty for you to use magic in water-splash fight」
「There’s no way for us to win if you can use all the water here as you please, you know. Even though we did our best and used our small hands to scoop up water………」
They are probably displeased with the fact that they lost due to being splashed with one shot of water. So Torr and Asmo are now grumbling while sitting on the rock at the river bank.
But on the other hand, I don’t know what would happen to me if I didn’t use magic. So I think it shouldn’t be wrong for me to decide to use magic on them.
「It’s over already, stop grumbling. I can use other methods to deal with you guys, like using Ice magic so you can’t move, or throwing some ice to you, I just used the gentlest method you know?」
「Wh, what kind of frightening things did you think of!? That’s not what something a person would do, y’know!?」
「……so Al thought about such nasty tricks despite your blank looks, huh. You demon」
Though I intended to explain my kindness to them, now I just got recognized as a demon instead.
Oh well, whatever. They probably just feel like complaining about me right now.
So I stopped caring about Torr and Asmo, and fully enjoy the cool water in the river.
I started walking in the opposite direction from Torr and Asmo and found a rock in the shade that looks to be comfortable to sit on.
After determining our usual place, I hung my completely drenched and heavy shirt on a nearby tree branch.
If I keep on wearing a shirt that had absorbed water, it will be hard for me to move as it’s heavy and I may catch a cold even if it’s summer.
It also makes me feel like taking off my pants too, but I endure it and keep on wearing my pants.
So I squeezed the water from my pants and sit down on the rock under the shade of the trees. Then I slowly put both of my feet into the water.
It feels good to have my feet enveloped by the cold water. The river water is so clear and beautiful.
It’s so clear that both of the feet I put into the water are completely visible. Though the flow of the river is slow, it feels like I’m receiving massages every time it hits my feet.
There’s no fish since I’ve used magic, but I can occasionally hear the sounds of frogs and birds from the surrounding area, and just listening to the sounds of the river flowing alone already makes me feel refreshed.
This is certainly a naturally created summer retreat.
Ahー, how blissful it is, being able to cool off leisurely in the river like this.
「It’s getting cold. Let’s also take off our tunic」

However, the scene in front of me is the exposed skin of Torr and Asmo.
If only it were Sheila-san and Ema-oneesama that were cooling off in front of me, then my heart would be rejuvenated further.

Perhaps they still want to relax here since Torr and Asmo tried to tempt me to stay longer.
I really want to do that after hearing their extremely attractive persuasion but, I have an errand to catch slimes today so I need to move on and catch them.

「To think that Al would refuse even though we told him to relax………」
「Is that really Al?」
Maybe they thought that I said something quite unexpected since Torr and Asmo look truly surprised.
「I really want to stay here too, but I have to catch slimes today. We run out of daytime if we don’t start searching for them now」
「You said that, but you’re also not moving from that place. You’re still immersing yourself in the river like us」

It’s just as Torr said.
Though my mouth said that we should go and look for slimes, my body was not moving for even a little bit.
「Al’s body is saying that he wants to stay here」
Just as Asmo said, I actually still wanted to stay here.
But, I have an errand to get slime. I’ve already planned to sleep comfortably using a nice and cold slime pillow tonight. I can’t yield on this.
Unless I get out from the river, then Torr and Asmo would keep staying here. I have to act first since I’m the person who suggested it.
And so, I fight against my instinct and raise my body from the water.

「Al! Surely you won’t leave this paradise and return to land right………!?」
「Stop it, Al! The outside world is dangerous! Right now, we can only live here!」
Torr and Asmo called out for me to stop.
「Human can’t live without water y’know!?」
「There’s nothing wrong with staying in such a comfortable place! So Al should be in this cool place!」
I can’t. I can’t listen to their sweet talks.
If I were to compromise and take their words seriously, then I won’t be able to get out of this river today.
I’ve even strongly argued with Sylvio-niisan. I can’t say that I will get them next time.

I deliberately yelled my errand loudly to shake off my evil thoughts――and then, I succeeded in breaking free from the river’s attraction.

After raising my body from the river, I went to the riverside and quickly drain the water from my shoes and put it on.
Then I take the half-dried shirts hanging on a branch nearby, and I say to Torr and Asmo.
「Hey, let’s go look for slimes」

After that, Torr and Asmo comes out from the water and we went to look for slimes.

There was a water ball wrapping around my body.
An entirely round beautiful circle water ball is slowly flowing, and my body is feeling cool inside it as if I’m still being underwater.
「Ooh! I just thought that it would be nice if the river would follow me along, but to think that the river would really follow me………!」
「No no, that’s magic, isn’t it? You also used that magic when we wash our hands before cooking that time.」

Torr and Asmo said while being amazed.
Errー, I truly didn’t mean to use magic though.
I wonder if this is the peak of magic or perhaps it was because I can’t suppress my own instinct and cast it, honestly, I don’t understand it myself. But, this is convenient.
The size of the water ball is from around my chest area to my thigh, I guess?
While looking at the water ball coiling around my body, I try to move my hand and walk normally.
It’s just clinging to my torso so there is no particular effect in my movement.
I can even look down normally, it’s the same as when I maintain a water ball magic, and if it gets in the way I can also remove it immediately.
But as expected, I would look like hentai if my upper body is naked, so I remove the water ball and make it float for now, and wear my clothes. After that, I pull in the water ball toward me and once again made it surround my body.

Just like that, two additional pseudo-mascot characters being enveloped with water ball are made.
