Chapter 435 Backup's Arrival
?A gigantic frame of over thirty meters, a little smaller than the one we watched hatching from the Egg of Disaster. Its body was covered in tough-looking dark green armor, also a different hue from the other one.
No matter how we look at it, it's a different Void Beast! And Zeshion is trying hard, fighting alone against it!
Zeshion was currently moving faster than a normal tamer's eyes could follow. To them, he might seem to be teleporting back and forth, waving the golden sword in his hand against the Void Beast.
It was a powerful display, with each swing of his golden saber roughing up the surrounding scenery. However, there's one problem:

Although Igni looked reluctant, she wasn't in the proper state of mind to resume fighting. For now, she's going to be a spectator from the back.
Of course, as we were minding Igni, the others were saving the other tamers that survived under Zehsion's protection. Out of the tens of thousands of monsters and tamers, only a few hundred survived.

The busiest one among the rest was probably Goddess Zeta. She, who was fully rested, quickly created dozens of portals, calling for backup. Out of the portals, familiar figures popped out.
It was the god tamers, along with a few god-level monsters that I haven't really interacted with. Furthermore, there's also Fang, Minerva, and Hekate, along with Threya, whom I hadn't seen in a while.
Among the god-level monsters that came, a few quickly rushed to where Zeshion was. From appearances, they looked like humanoids, so I quickly realized they were Zeshion's tamed monsters.
"Omicron, Tau, Psi! Let's go with the usual!"
Zeshion didn't even need to turn around to realize who came and called out their names. One man and two women, each with qualities that stood out.
Tau was a beautiful woman, with flowing, cold, dark blue hair reaching her waist. From a glance at the energy particles around her, I quickly deduced that she was of the ice element.
Omicron was a young man with gold hair who was too young based on his appearance, looking somewhere in his teens. He was wielding a bastard sword, ready to charge forward.
For some reason, he looked similar to Zehsion himself, making me doubt if he was his "son" or something.
Psi is a cute girl with fluffy brown hair fashioned into ringlets. Judging by the flowery scent floating around her and the earthly energy she was releasing, she must be of the Earth element, or maybe Plant?
After Zeshion called to them, the three split up immediately. Tau and Psi flew to the Void Beast's flanks in attention, while Omicron went beside Zehsion.
Without the need to warn the others, the two women started to release their domains. Tau's domain was simple, turning the entire field into a frozen landscape. Even the dark ground and the dead tamers and monsters were buried under a thick layer of frost.
When the white field touched the Void Beast, it quickly stopped expanding. The Void Beast was protected by its Void Powers, negating all damages, but the frozen field slowed down its movements by freezing the moisture around its body.
It wasn't a direct attack, but an indirect application!
Similar to Tau, Psi's domain was simple too. Within the area under her domain, plants began growing at an accelerated pace.
Vines wiggled and rose up, and roots broke through the ground. All of them moved as one and wrapped around the Void Beast's arms and legs, limiting its movements.
With two domains slowing down the enemy, Zeshion also lowered his stance, together with Omicron. The four of them were so perfectly in sync that the application of their zones, followed by Zeshion's attack, all happened in the span of one second!

Zeshion and Omicron's swords glowed a golden hue, with Zeshion's coming from the right and Omicron's arcing from the left. The two swords looked like a giant pair of scissors, aiming for the Void Beast's neck.
*TING!*
However, despite their combined efforts, the "finisher" didn't even go past the Void Beast's defenses. Zeshion frowned, noticing that the battle would be endless if he couldn't figure out how to remove its "shell."
"So that's a Void Beast..."
Vermeil, who was called together with the rest, muttered in a severe and deep tone.
"Can we defeat something that powerful?"
"Hah! Women..."
Ajax scoffed, walking forward with a dagger in hand.
"If you don't even have the courage to fight, just stay back and don't move. I'll show you all how it's done!"
After saying such things, Ajax vanished from sight. His stealth was more perfect than even Fang's, enough that even his energy signature completely vanished. Even I couldn't figure out his current position!
