324 A Big Bang

Noir had his focus on me, of that I am sure.

That was something he needed to do, however, since, among everyone right now, I am the one with the most threat to him. I myself couldn't believe what I was doing, but my movements seemed to be optimized for fighting against Noir's every move.

From how fluid my movements were, I could glimpse the dense amount of dedication placed on mastering even a single unassuming step.

"Don't look down on me!"

Noir roared, angry. This time, with the distance between us being less than a dozen meters, his tentacles couldn't perform as well as before. Instead, I saw the shadows around me start to quiver. "...!"

I had no idea what happened, but I was suddenly in the air, rotating at an unbelievable speed. Using the shadow talons, I cleaved through the shadow spikes that suddenly appeared all over the place without any warning.

For the third time, Noir seemed taken aback. After all, what I just did wasn't any different than saying, "I know what you'd use next; it's useless." A slap to his face!

From the jump, I reached tens of meters up in the air, reaching the ceiling of the wide space. No matter how I think about it, the last move was a bad choice. Not only did it take me further away from Noir, but I also couldn't approach him without being in a vulnerable position mid-air.

As soon as my foot touched the ceiling, however, my vision blurred. I kicked off the wall, flying directly to where Noir was, and the two talons crossed before me.

Noir didn't wait for me to come close and quickly let loose, sending projectiles made from shaped darkness. If even one of those hit me, then I'd be down for the count for sure.

"But don't forget... I'm not alone!"

While I was deflecting the incoming projectiles, Vermeill and Ajax, who were both freed from the onslaught of crystal tentacles, appeared on opposing sides of Noir, their firsts loaded by their main elements: wind and fire.

He was so focused on me that he forgot he had someone else whom he should be more wary of!

The two fists flew, aiming for both sides of his face. However, at that instant, Noir's body suddenly sank deep into the wall, letting their two attacks slam each other's fists instead. A powerful shockwave spread from their strike, sending me flying back a few meters.

"Guh!"

"Argh!"

Ajax and Vermeil winced in pain, but quickly used their other fist loaded with about the same concentration of energy and slammed it against the wall, where he just vanished.

*BANG!*

A loud explosion rang, but the wall simply showed a small line of cracks against their combined might. The wall was so tough, it was able to receive their attacks without much damage!

"D*mn! How is that b*stard swimming inside this rock-solid wall?!"

Ajax cursed as he tended to his burned right arm from Vermeil's attack. Vermeil was doing the same but kept her mouth shut. She was sharpening her senses, trying to detect where Noir's current location was.

"Sh*t! Ajax, get back!"

Vermeil shouted in a hurry but was a step too late. Between the two, a small black dot appeared. Its powerful gravity started to pull everything inside the room. The two god tamers, who were at point-blank range, couldn't even resist as they were pulled into the dot.

A few seconds later, the dot vanished... before everything that it sucked up, including dust, fragments, and the two god tamers, were shot out at a frightening speed, slamming them against the wall.

I was barely safe after I used my claws to anchor myself against the floor, but the ejected matters were completely beyond control, peppering my body with various small to medium-sized cuts and bruises. I did block a few, but the number and speed were just beyond what I could humanly fend off.

Fortunately, my injuries weren't anything special. However, both Ajax and Vermeil ended up completely unable to fight anytime soon.

Suddenly, both their bodies glowed brightly, restoring their health to its peak in moments. Their lifesaving measure, the system's Heavenly Halo, was used! However, the problem was that it was used beyond their control, and they ended up eating more than 90% of their remaining energy.

The two fell from the craters their bodies created on the wall and kneeled down on one knee. They were panting hard, seemingly tired as their energy reserves were running low.

Still, the two of them didn't give up just yet.

"That wall is in the way...!"

Vermeil roared as she clapped her hand before spreading her arms wide vertically, creating a flaming arc. She then grabbed it in the middle, like a bow, and acted as if she were pulling an imaginary string.

*FWOOOSH!*

As she did, a large amount of flames surged all over her body, as if representing what little energy she had left. The flames slowly concentrated in the middle of the bow, creating a pure white arrow that burned the eyes of anyone who looked at it directly.

"[Ultimate Skill: White Seraphim's Arrow]!"

She shouted the skill's name as she let go, letting the white arrow, releasing an unprecedented amount of heat to the surroundings, fly straight at blinding speed.

Vermeil fell forward, fainting, right after she let go of that shot. It was literally fired with the best of her current ability.

"And I wouldn't let your hard work go to waste, you b*tch!"

Ajax exclaimed as he created a tunnel of wind along the arrow's path. The wind not only increased the flame's intensity, but it even added more speed to the projectile as it flew.

The arrow broke the sound barrier as it honed in on the sturdy wall protecting Noir. As soon as it landed, a bright flash expanded, blinding everyone for a brief instant. When the light faded, along with the ringing in our ears, the wall's state was then revealed.

It was melted down for most parts. Noir could be seen in the middle of it, his body still exuding black smoke as he stared forward with anger.

"F*ck! Just how tough is this cockroach bastard?!"

Ajax cursed as he fell forward, having used up all his energy, similar to Vermeil. The two god tamers now couldn't resume their duties of protecting Blanc and Alpha, but fortunately, there was no need to do that anymore.
