Another direct hit!
I looked over to the other side of the battlefield, where Goddess Zeta was. Her hands were still glowing with space energy, indicating that she really was the one who provided support.
However, my face quickly turned into a frown. A wave of negative energy burst, clearing the cloud of explosion quickly.
"No way..."
Although it should've received the hit on its head, it was not injured at all. The Succubus Lord even went back to full health. The tiny wound on its side was now gone.
"Will, stand back!"
At that moment, Goddess Blanc rushed forward, placing both hands in front. Outside the cracked golden barrier, a dozen floating transparent shields glowing in blue light appeared.
As it did, an array of red claw strikes clashed with it, destroying it all instantly. The claw marks hit the golden barrier and completely destroyed it, but it still managed to neutralize the attack, ensuring the safety of everyone inside.
"Ugh! Ha, ha..."
Goddess Blanc fell to one knee as she panted heavily. Her forehead was covered in cold sweat as she stared up at the monster, which was still shooting claw attacks even now.
At that instant, a large hole opened up in the empty space, swallowing the powerful attacks that could even destroy Goddess Blanc's attacks.
"Will, don't be fooled! Your attacks are working; try again!"
Goddess Zeta appeared behind us before we even noticed. The spot where she was before, where the demon tamers were, had already turned the tide. The demon tamers were now the ones who were on the defensive against Goddess Vermeil and another man with green hair. Based on how powerful he is, he should be Ajax Prasinos, one of the God Tamers.
"Ember, load the next shell!"
We only had five shells prepared for this monstrosity of a weapon, so we only have three more attacks left. The two standby shells were already used, so I took out the rest from my storage ring and dropped it nearby.
Ember's clones quickly worked as Goddess Zeta blocked the incoming attacks. When Goddess Blanc recovered, she immediately restored the golden barrier to protect us, just in case.
With the two goddesses' protection, I can completely focus on shooting.
'But just shooting it would be useless.'
I quickly realized that although Zeta said that the monster was feeling the attacks, I could clearly see that it was too insignificant to even call it damage. The first hit was probably the most damage we could deal, as it was caught off guard by us.
'Isn't there something I can use...?'
I used my groggy brain to think of a way out of this desperate situation. My gaze naturally turned to the barrel, which had now turned bright red just after two shots. I could feel the heat searing my skin, even though I wasn't in contact with it.
'Right, I can use that!'
I quickly jumped out of the controller's seat and rushed to where the bullet was about to be loaded.
"Hold on for a second!"
I stopped the clones as I placed my hands close to the shell. I must not touch it, as the cursed ore would quickly eat away at my body if I did.

I worked on the shell, but the property of the cursed ore to block energy was completely backfiring against my attempts. Short on time, I just decided to take a gamble and pulled a dagger from the storage ring.
Using the dagger, I created a special energy-form virus and concentrated it on the tip. After completing it, I stabbed the dagger into the rear side of the shell, opening a small cut as I let the dagger sink up to the hilt.
"Now, quickly load it!"
The dagger punctured the perfect shell, so the pressurized energy inside it was rushing out. With every second we wasted, the weaker its damage would be.
As I sat back in the controller's seat, I noticed that the Succubus Lord wasn't staying in place anymore. It was rushing around the sky, sending bloody claw attacks at us every now and then.
"Damn!"
I quickly adjusted the sights, but I couldn't keep up with the agile movements of the monster. It seemed to be moving in a pattern, but I can't even begin to decode it now.
"Just shoot!"
Goddess Zeta shouted as she glanced at us.
"Leave the rest to me; just shoot!"
The energy in the shell was quickly leaving, so I just nodded my head firmly.
"Fire!"
As I shouted, I pulled the trigger. The same deafening roar echoed from the barrel, spewing out a large shell with a long tail of energy exploding behind it.
"Kyaah!"
Ember screamed as the hole under the shell caused a part of the energy to shoot backward, damaging the loading mechanism. The small explosion caused her to be blown away, but with her physical damage immunity, she should be undamaged.
With how the barrel seemed to be getting deformed by heat, I guess this is the last shot that this form could make. I looked at the last shell that I shot, flying in the sky at blinding speeds.
The Succubus Lord, seeing the shell flying at a completely different location, seemed to sneer and almost laugh. However, just as it was about to rush onward once more, a hole in space opened before the shell, sending it to a different location.
The Succubus Lord quickly tensed up and watched its surroundings; however, the other end of the teleportation portal wasn't anywhere around it. A second later, a hole in space opened right before its face.
Before the bullet could come out of it, the Succubus Lord laughed viciously as it quickly scratched the space, breaking it completely. As it was celebrating the complete neutralization of the attack, another one opened on top of its head, where the shell came out at speeds faster than before. The first portal was just a bluff!
*KABOOOOOOOM!*
Completely unguarded, the Succubus Lord took the hit almost completely. It managed to tilt its head away at the last moment, but the entire shoulder leading to the left arm was obliterated.
[Damn insects!]
An angry voice echoed inside our heads at that moment.
[I let you have an inch, and you took a mile! Now, prepare to face my wrath!]
As she roared, a large red magic circle appeared just below the clouds. Looking closer, it was the same pattern she was flying in before.
"So she was doing this stealthily earlier..!"
