As soon as Luo Meng Yao and Seimei Guren announced the name of the upcoming Luo Clan head, everyone started chattering around busily. Most of the lower nobles, like myself, were angry at how it wasn't Ying Yue who got the position but some random boy who came out of nowhere. Black smoke flew and covered my son instantly. There wasn't even a moment to guard against it. As the smoke vanished, my son plopped down to the ground, completely unconscious.
"Priestess Harumi, take that fatty to the medical room. If he survives, then let him go."
When he muttered so, a figure appeared from behind the throne wearing traditional Miko attire. She waved her hand, and my son floated, quickly moving to where she was.
"W-Wait!"
I shouted in reflex.
"What did you do to my son?!"
As soon as I raised my voice, Will looked at me. One of his eyebrows raised as he spoke clearly, word for word.
"You're his father, right? Then you should be the one covering up for all the bad deeds he did. I guess you need punishment too, Fang."
As he signaled, the black-haired girl sent another dark cloud in my direction. As my vision was covered in complete darkness, I heard Will's voice from beyond.
"[Nightmare] isn't as deadly when used against tamers. Just pray to your god that you and your son survive this."
