'Ding! Do you think he is coming for this city?' the system felt strange, 'Ding I believe he is gone mad!'

'Hahaha, he has lost it, hahaha!'

Arthur wasn't feeling the same happy and celebrative mood like the other two. At this point, it was much closer to facing an injured and cornered beast.

Even the weakest creatures and animals would be deadly at such moments. Arthur never doubted his ability to exterminate all the hostile forces, but on what cost?

That was the main question here.

It went without saying that his enemy was determined to crush this city and cause Arthur's empire great losses in return for his loss. Arthur would never want such a result, least of all in such a dangerous situation.

His forces under his command were strong, really strong. But facing such a sudden gush of higher forces with the task of preventing the enemy from damaging the city looked hard to achieve.

If the task was to just clash and kill the enemy, Arthur wouldn't feel down like this. But this task was to prevent any harm to the city, or to be more precise to his mountain ore and currency casting factories.

He already dispatched the experts all over the empire. But he didn't want to lose the mountain or the facilities that his people took a long time to perfect.

If he lost this, then he would end up starting from scratch. He knew he would be able to rebuild everything, but at what cost? Plus he would waste much time in doing so.

"Make the octopus family come and defend this mountain," Arthur's deep voice came as he started arranging his forces, "let the mages take the outer fields' defense. As for the originals, divide them into three armies, one stationed in the city to defend it, two on standby."

Arthur's goal was clear. If his enemy wanted to destroy his crown jewel then he should have the real ability to accomplish that.

Unlike what normal leaders and generals would aim and think about at this point, they would normally aim to crush the enemy and aim for causing massive losses in their enemy lines.

But on the contrary to that, Arthur's main goal was another thing. He would hold the fort and buy time until his scattered forces would regroup again.

According to Gege, the closest armies, the one which were attacking the seventh and third enemy armies, needed five hours to reach the closest portal zone for them.

In other words, Arthur needed to defend for five hours before his strong armies would arrive. After that, he would shift from defense to total offense, killing all the elites and grandmasters sent here.

Just as his forces regrouped and got organized, the massive portal enveloping the entire sky flashed and many lights descended from there.

All the surviving elites and grandmasters from all battlefields came to this city at this moment. They came in a strong line up, exceeding hundred thousand in number.

Compared to the millions of his originals, this might not amount to anything. But if such a terrifying force decided to use a long ranged attack, then his city would suffer a lot of losses.

"Move the citizens to safe zones around the mountain," Arthur gave another order, "let the entire city near the big wall be emptied."

The war would be hot and intense, so Arthur wouldn't have the mind to protect his people. This city was already one of the largest cities in his empire, or even be the biggest city in the entire empire.

The number of people here alone was in millions, even might exceed ten million mark.

Beside that, many villages and towns were scattered around the city, linking it with other cities as well. Since the beginning of this clash here, all the people of those towns and villages withdrew and got into sanctuary inside the main cities here, including the mountain city.

"Rumble!"

The war started with a massive long ranged attack coming from that terrifying force. It seemed like they unified their attacks to form a gigantic fist, glimmering in many lights and colors, flashing fast towards the city.

Yet the moment it arrived in the city, two things happened. The shield enveloping the entire city got activated fast, clashing fiercely with that attack and releasing such mighty rumbling all around the place.

And then the originals moved.

The originals were still mad about what happened to their folks inside the prison world. Arthur didn't stand idle and added fuel to the fire, telling Gege to inform them that those enemies belonged to the same people who did this to their kin.

So it was expected for the originals to fight with such ferocity. Arthur watched thousands of originals shield the city with their bodies and release their powers to absorb the massive attack and successfully disperse it.

"Make one army take a round, aim at that group of higher force from the side," As the attack was dismissed, more were coming fast at the city. Arthur knew if he kept doing this, then at some point the defenses would fail and his city would get massive losses.

So instead of passively defending, he would send one army to harass the enemy. Gege read his thoughts and got what he intended to do.

During the next half an hour, Arthur's forces kept taking many attacks, suffering under great pressure from the constant brutal attacks coming from those grandmasters and elites.

At the same time, the groundless troops made their move. They came in large numbers, like swarms, aiming to attack and invade the city.

It was a good combination actually. The strongest forces were keeping the main defenses busy while the weaker mages took the chance and tried to break through.

Arthur knew such weak mages weren't much to bother, but if they went inside the city then massive destruction would occur. Even the weakest colony of ants would be deadly if left unattended.

"Make the third army move, make them attack those ants and kill them until they run away," Arthur's cold voice came before adding, "and where is the second army? Shouldn't they attack the enemy troops by now?"

'Just wait, I've prepared something nice for them,' Gege mysteriously said, in a way that made Arthur held some expectations for the upcoming clash.
