"Temple Master, what are you doing?"
Uncle Grey became furious as he knew that the moment he stopped Leo, Mortis had evil intentions towards Leo.
So, he angrily shouted as he silently took a piece of paper with strange symbols on it out of his storage ring.
"Don't get worked up, Acting Family Head Grey."
Mortis was calm as he stood up from the main seat and slowly walked towards Leo and Uncle Grey he said, "I have some questions for your Nephew before I let him go."
"Questions?"
Unle Grey frowned as he felt a bad premonition in his heart.
'Even though I can use this Talisman to injure him, I don't think Leo won't have enough time to escape.'
At the same time, he was planning a way for Leo to safely escape from the Family Hall.
'I think I should better summon the elders.'

So, he agreed with Grey's request.
'They are just a bunch of old things waiting for their death. They have more or less the same strength as the Temple Guardians. Even if I want to erase the Stormrider Family, they could do nothing about it.'
For now, Mortis just wants to go with the flow and get the answers to some of his questions before deciding what he has to do.
"Elders, come out of your seclusion."

These elders were personally nurtured and roped into the family by Valerian Stomrider and these elders were willing to give their lives to protect the family and its members.
So, Uncle Grey knew he could trust them so he decided to use them to protect Leo's life.
"Since your family elders are here, I will start questioning your Nephew."
Mortis didn't waste any more time as he directly asked Leo his first question.
"Have you ever met your father?"
Despite knowing that Valerian was dead, Mortis still asked a question that seemed ridiculous to other elders; however, for him, the answer would give more assurance.

Despite the things happening in the Main Family Hall, Leo was calm as he had already planned what to do for the two possible things that were going to happen.

Mortis heaved a sigh of relief and his skill told him that Leo was not lying.
"Second question."
Nodding his head, Mortis asked the second question, "What is your opinion on the Beast Tamer God's Temples?"
"They are very powerful and will help me become more powerful."
Leo didn't have to think much as he truthfully replied with his opinion on the Beast Tamer God's Temples.
"You are quite straightforward."
Mortis raised his brows when he heard Leo's reply because what he said was his honest opinion.

"I think he wants to join our Temple, master."
"Temple Master, shall we let him join us?"
The Temple Elders and Temple Guardians were satisfied with Leo's answers after hearing Mortis's reply and asked whether they could let Leo join them.
"Quiet."
However, Mortis didn't have any plans to let Leo join them as he made everyone quiet with a single word.

Mortis asked, "Do you know who killed the Gatekeeper Orion?"
'It looks like there will be bloodshed tonight in the family tonight.'
Leo sighed as he looked at Mortis for a moment before nodding his head.
"What? You know who killed the Gatekeeper?"
Uncle Grey was shocked to see Leo nodding his head whereas Mortis revealed an excited smile.
"Who is it? Tell me who killed the old Gatekeeper and I will take you as my disciple."
Mortis wanted to kill the murderer not because he wanted to take revenge for the old gatekeeper Orion; instead, it was to kill the killer who might become the second Valerian Stormrider for their Temple.
As for offering Leo to become his disciple was not because he liked Leo. It was because he closely wanted to keep an eye on Leo.
'Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.'
This was what Mortis was following and of course, everything depended on Leo's answer.
"Temple Master, didn't you already ask your last question?"
However, Leo didn't answer; instead, he questioned Mortis.
"What did you say?"
Mortis already dislikes Leo and wanted to kill him right away when he heard Leo questioning him back; however, he controlled his anger and warned, "If you don't want your entire Stormrider Family to die overnight, you better tell the name of the killer."
"As long as you tell me the Killer's name, my Temple will give additional access to all the newly awakened beast tamers from your family."
Mortis casually warned and also said that he would even reward him if Leo said the name of the killer.
"Leo, do you know the name of the killer? How?"
Uncle Grey and the 10 family elders frowned as they asked Leo and at the same time, they urged, "What are you waiting for Leo? Just tell the name unless you want our Stormrider Family to get destroyed by the Beast Tamer God's Temple."
The family elders were the ones who were urging Leo because it was their duty to protect the family at any cost and they wouldn't hesitate to die or kill in the process.
"Leo, just say the name."
Even though Uncle Grey didn't know how Leo knew the killer, he wanted Leo to tell the name and if Mortis didn't keep his promises after that, he decided to use the trump cards to cause as much damage as possible to the Beast Tamer God's Temple while letting Leo escape.
"Sure."
Leo nodded his head and took a few steps to walk close to Mortis.
"The one who killed the old gatekeeper was none other than me."
Leo pointed his thumbs at himself and announced in the hall.
"What nonsense….."
"Since you got the answer, now go to hell."
