Blood Valley is a haunting and foreboding location, etched into the annals of dark legends and whispered tales. The valley is dotted with gnarled trees whose branches twist like reaching claws, their leaves tinged with hints of red. The ground, soaked with a rust-coloured mire, seems to thirst for the lifeblood of those who dare to tread its path.
As Leo ventures into Blood Valley, a pervasive feeling of unease settles upon him, as if the very air resonates with a sense of ominous foreboding.
Two powerful-looking beasts, the Flame Devourer Dragon and the Dark Shadow Panther King were walking in front of Leo as his guards were ready to jump at any danger they sensed.
Phoenix Eagle and Frostwing Dragon were flying at his shoulder level while keeping an eye on their surroundings.
As for the Forest Celestial Howler and the Thousand-poison Spider, they were guarding the rear along with the Space Moon Hound and Mystic Owl.
That's not it. On both hands, Abyssal Leviathans were wrapped around and watched for any danger with their own eyes.
In his head, both Nightmare Butterfly and Crystalwing Butterfly were settled.
As for the remaining beasts, Leo was ready to summon them anytime; however, for now, he believed that the current group of Beasts were more than enough to protect him in the Blood Valley.
Other than Nightmare Butterfly and Crystalwing Butterfly, all the beasts including the Space Moon Hound and Mystic Owl were Gold Grade Beasts.
What's more, Phoenix Eagle, Frostwing Dragon, Flame Devourer Dragon, Dark Shadow Panther King and a few other beasts had reached Level 5 and 6 in the Gold Grade.
'Since Phoenix Eagle, Frostwing Dragon, Celestial Forest Howler and two other beasts were Heaven Class, they could easily fight Platinum Grade Beasts.'
That's the reason why Leo didn't wait to rush into the Blood Valley because the king of the Blood Valley, the Crimson Blood Dragon King was injured and had only a level 5 Purple Grade Strength.
Even though Leo was yet to become a Platinum Grade Beast Tamer, he was confident in defeating it along with his contracted beasts, pets and of course, his contracted skills.
'As long as I get the system fragment and awaken the system, it will become a lot easier in completing the [Ascending Mission] and also keeping track of the beasts I evolve.'
Currently, Leo could gain so much information with the help of the [Quasi Divine Knowledge]; however, it was taking a lot of time to see through those things.
Hence, Leo wanted a system as soon as possible….despite knowing it was only a mini version of the system.
"Everyone, be careful."
As they entered deeper into the Blood Valley, Leo ordered all the beasts around him to be careful and ready to take action at any moment.
'Swoosh'
Suddenly, Leo and his beasts sensed something from the bushes in the distance and stopped in their tracks.
Soon, the same things happened with all the bushes around him, making everyone alert.
"Everyone, it looks like we are surrounded. Get ready to fight."
Leo was also ready to fight because when it comes to fighting, none of his beasts has as much battle experience as he had.
Moreover, he had various contracted skills which boosted his confidence in fighting any type of beast below the Platinum Rank.
'Roar'
Soon, three-meter red-furred hyenas jumped at them at once from all directions.
"Howler, Celestial Barrier."
Leo was quick with his order and the Celestial Forest Howler was also ready to use that skill.
'Swoosh'
In the next second, Leo and all the beasts within a 10-meter radius were covered by a shiny but transparent barrier that blocked all the jumping Blood Hyenas.
The Blood Hyenas were shocked by the sudden appearance barrier and growled at Leo before communicating with one another.
"Dream, Mystic….do what you are both good at."
Without wasting any time, Leo silently ordered the Nightmare Butterfly and Mystic Owl who were both good at creating nightmares and illusions to use their skills.

Before the Blood Hyenas could come up with an idea to destroy the Celestial Barrier, the Nightmare Butterfly released some powder from the sky.
On the other hand, Mystic Owl didn't even bother to move from the back of the Space Moon Hound as its eyes shone with orange light.
'Growl'
Soon, the Blood Hyenas growled at each other and started fighting among themselves.
'Even though this skill is good, Mystic Owl's level is still low. I need to find Beast Essence and upgrade its strength to Gold Grade.'
Leo knew with Mystic Owl's strength, could confuse the enemies for much longer; however, for now, it was enough for the Nightmare Butterfly to put them into a sleep that was filled with Nightmares.
'Swoosh'
Soon, the Nightmare Butterfly descended onto the sleeping Blood Hyenas and started absorbing their essence to increase its strength.
The Blood Hyenas were only at level 10 silver grade, hence, the Nightmare Butterfly was able to put them to sleep in a few seconds and it was the same for the Mystic Owl.
"Phoenix and Flame Devourer, burn them to death after Dream absorbed the essence from their nightmares."
As the Nightmare Butterfly flew from one Blood Hyena to another to absorb their essences, Leo ordered his two beasts with powerful long-range attacks.
None of Leo's beasts showed any interest in devouring the Blood Hyenas to increase their strength; hence, Leo decided to burn them all.
The Nightmare Butterfly only took a couple of minutes to absorb the essence of the 10 Blood Hyenas and successfully increased its strength by one level.
"Dream, at this rate, you will become a Gold Grade Beast in no time."
The Nightmare Butterfly had already become a level 7 Silver Grade Beast during the fight with the Masked Assassins and now, it has become a level 8 Silver Grade Beast.
'Swoosh'
After the Nightmare Butterfly finished its absorption of the essence, the Phoenix Eagle and the Flame Devourer Dragon burned the 10 corpses into ashes.
'Huh?'
Just as Leo and his beasts were leaving, Leo saw a familiar shining orb fall out of one of the burning corpses of the Blood Hyenas, making Leo's eyes shine with excitement.
