"How about we let Leo focus on the path of Research Master until the [Awakening Ceremony]? After he awakens a beast tamer's talent, he will spend 80 percent of his efforts on the path of Beast Tamers and the remaining 20 percent of efforts would be for the path of Research Master."
Elder Obe also agrees with Uncle Grey's line of thought. Hence, he suggested something that Uncle Grey could agree with.
"Leo, promise me that you will put 80 percent of your efforts into the path of Beast Tamers after awakening your Beast Tamer talent."
Uncle Grey thought about it for a moment and looked at Leo before asking him to promise.
Since his nephew was interested in the beast's research and evolution, Uncle Grey decided to let him have his way until the awakening ceremony.

Leo didn't have to think much about it as he directly promised Uncle Grey.
Even though Leo was interested in becoming a Research Master that doesn't mean he was not interested in becoming a powerful beast tamer.
He knew very well that only by becoming a powerful beast tamer, he could freely venture in this world to complete his ascending mission.

Uncle Grey knew Leo always kept his word and was not worried much about it as he was looking forward to seeing what type of talent Leo would awaken during the [Awakening Ceremony].
Also, Uncle Grey requested Elder Obe to keep Leo's involvement in the evolution of the Nightmare Butterfly a secret for now and announce that Leo's Dream Butterfly had naturally evolved into a Nightmare Butterfly.
It was because Uncle Grey didn't want to bring attention to Leo at such a young age.
What's more there was already an assassination attempt before Leo could do anything and if outsiders knew about Leo's achievement, the other families might go to any lengths to kill Leo as they didn't want another Valerian in the world.

Leo believed that as a Research Master, Elder Obe could figure out that the ingredients alone won't be enough to complete the evolution and it requires some powerful energy.

Soon, the transaction was completed under the supervision of Uncle Grey.
"As a Research Trainee, you will get free pet eggs from the three types of pets we have in our Beast Ranch. Go and pick them."
After receiving the information about evolution from Leo, Elder Obe became excited as he wanted to start studying them as soon as possible.
However, he didn't forget about the benefits of being a research trainee.

All of them were in their 20s and half of them had already evolved five low-level beasts into mid-level beasts.
When he heard that they got a junior trainee who was less than 10 years old, they were happy and when they realized that their junior trainee was the son of the family head, they became excited.
Even though the path of research mater was highly revered, very few were interested in it and now, the son of the family head also follows the same path as them.
So, of course, they were happy and informed Leo to ask them any questions he had.
