In this world of Beast Masters, other than the Beast Sanctuary owned by the Beast Tamer God, each family had set up their own space for nurturing the beasts.
These beasts are mostly used as mounts for family members, or sold to others and some other purposes but definitely won't be used to form a contract because they were weak compared to the beasts available inside the Beast Sanctuary.
"Moreover, when someone is getting a free chance to pick a beast from the Beast Sanctuary to form a contract with, only a fool would form a contract with them and I am one of those fools who formed a contract with the Storm Eagle."
As Leo and Uncle Grey walked towards the Beast Ranch belonging to the Stormrider Family, Uncle Grey explained a few things which Leo had already known from his mother.
"However, I think there must be a reason why Uncle Grey formed a contract with the Storm Eagle."
Leo didn't believe his Uncle was a fool.
"Actually, he is."
Suddenly, there was an old voice as an old man appeared at the base of the mountain.
"Elder Obe"
Uncle Grey didn't mind being called a fool as though he got used to it and greeted the old man wearing plain robes.
"This must be Lord Vale's son, Leo."
Elder Obe nodded his head while looking at Leo as he continued, "You must be giving him special treatment by bringing him to the Beast Ranch at the age of just six years."
'Elder Obe, he is not a regular six-year-old kid. He is intelligent and quick-witted.'
Uncle Grey whispered about something done by Leo while adding a few extra things to make Leo into a special person.
"Since he is the son of Lord Vale, I will overlook the rules of the Beast Ranch for once."
Elder Obe was nonchalant as he invited Leo into the Beast Ranch.
"Thank you Elder Obe."
Leo was quick in thanking the elder which made the elder quite satisfied, before he entered the beast ranch.
"You can leave now. I will inform you when he selects a pet."
Without waiting for Uncle Grey's reply, Elder Obe went into the mountain and activated the barrier that prevents anyone from entering the beast ranch without his permission.
"What?"
For a moment, Uncle Grey was confused; however, soon, a playful smile appeared on his face.
'So what if you don't let me enter the Beast Ranch? Do you think I can't enter one of the properties of the Family as an acting Family Head?'
Uncle Grey pointed his ring at the barrier and a hole appeared in the barrier that was enough for him to enter the Beast Ranch.

Inside the Beast Ranch,
"It looks completely different from the outside."
Looking at the scenery around him, Leo said these words, making Elder Obe laugh a little.
"The outside is just a facade. From the outside, it is just a mountain; however, it is a different space that was specially created for the sole purpose of nurturing the low-level and mid-level beasts."
Elder Obe started explaining, "Once in a while, there will be high-level beasts and when that happens, it can be offered to the Beast Tamer God in exchange for some good treasures that could increase the strength of the family.
'Oh'
Leo was surprised and wanted to ask some questions; however, Elder Obe spoke again,
"Anyway, since you will be staying in the family from now on, you will eventually learn about those things. For now, let's focus on your pet."
"There are a total of three types of low-level pets in our Beast Ranch. They are Storm Eagles, Red-tailed Hawk and Rockwing Butterflies. So, which beast egg do you want from these types of beasts?"
After explaining the beasts nurtured in the ranch, Elder Obe asked which one Leo wants.
For someone like Leo who has yet to awaken a Beast Tamer's talent, it is impossible to directly control a beast; however, it would be easy to control a hatchling even without a contract.
Hence, Leo was not surprised that he could only choose the eggs and not the beasts.
"Can you tell me the strengths and weaknesses of these three types of beasts?"
Even though Leo has [Quasi Divine Knowledge] to get the information about those beasts, he didn't want to use it to learn about the beasts when he had a good guide beside him.
'The more knowledge I know about a particular thing, the less soul power it would consume, right?'
Leo had come to this conclusion after fainting yesterday.
When it comes to the evolution of a Storm Eagle, there are various evolution paths and each path contains a huge amount of information.
Therefore, when he tried to get the information about the evolution of the Storm Eagle, Leo's mind power was insufficient as he directly fainted.
'I should use that talent only after I collect as much information as possible on that particular thing to reduce the consumption of my mind power.'
With this thought in mind, Leo asked Elder Obe about the strengths and weaknesses of these three beasts.
"Sure."
Elder Obe was surprised that Leo was able to remain calm and composed when selecting his first pet.
Since no one would be forming contracts with the beasts from the family's beast ranch, most children would randomly select one pet to train with until the 'Awakening Ceremony'.
However, when he saw how careful Leo was even in selecting his first pet, a good opinion formed about Leo in Elder Obe's head.
"Storm Eagles, they are known for their speed. Their speed could even be compared to the mid-level wind-type beasts; however, it has weak defence and average attack power."
"Red-tailed Hawk, they have average speed but their attacks could be comparable to that of mid-level attack-type beasts. When it comes to defence, it's quite low just like Storm Eagle."
"As for the last beast, Rockwing butterfly, it has low attack power and low speed but high defence. Moreover, they could evolve into a Goldwing Butterfly which is a mid-level beast."
"So, which one do you want to select?"
