Chapter 75 Massacre

Long Tian gently touched the white tiger's forehead, his mind focused. After defeating a soul beast, there were three options: selling it, absorbing its soul, or assimilating one of its abilities.

Most soul beasts ranked two stars and above possessed unique abilities. The white tiger before him was a three-star soul beast with its troublesome clone ability.

If it weren't for the sudden surge of power within him, Long Tian might have had trouble dealing with it. He estimated its strength to be at the Flowing Qi realm and beyond.

After nearly five minutes of concentration, there was no apparent change. Long Tian continued to touch the tiger's forehead. A few seconds later, a gleaming light emanated from the tiger's head, and three golden rings, each as large as the tiger itself, entered Long Tian's body. This time, three star marks appeared on Long Tian's forehead, but they faded quickly.

Long Tian opened his eyes, a satisfied smile gracing on his face. He had successfully absorbed the white tiger's ability: the Ethereal Clone!

He stood up and stretched, eager to try out his newfound skill. His gaze focused ahead as he concentrated. He began to emit a faint aura, and after a few seconds, a clone of himself materialized not far in front.

Long Tian grinned; it worked on the first attempt. However, the clone vanished almost instantly. He sighed, realizing that maintaining or even making the clone attack would require intense concentration.

"That's not bad for a start. My wounds aren't too severe. I think I'll explore this forest a bit more," he remarked, leaving the white tiger's lifeless body behind.

The sun climbed higher in the sky, the heat intensifying as noon approached. In the Tianzhou Forest, the sweltering sun's rays seemed to have no effect as the towering trees shielded the area in perpetual darkness.

In a particular spot, Long Tian was busy roasting a massive moose, its size akin to a truck. It was the fourth option for a soul beast's remains - consuming its meat.

Soul beast meat was highly beneficial for ordinary humans and cultivators alike. Not only did it taste better, but it also contained Reiki and soul power. Consuming it strengthened one's internal organs and soul.

Long Tian felt lucky to have encountered this giant moose hidden inside a cave. He found this world fascinating, filled with challenges. Whenever he grew bored, he could venture into the forest, where countless powerful soul beasts lurked, waiting to be discovered.

These formidable creatures weren't confined to the depths of the forest. In some cases, hundreds or even thousands of soul beasts would attack villages and cities. This phenomenon wasn't limited to the Han Empire but occurred worldwide.

Hence, cultivators and Magus played crucial roles here, serving as the heroes who stood against these formidable soul beasts.

Due to this threat, numerous factions and forces emerged across the world, including within the Han Empire. There were guilds, such as the Assassin's Order, Black Dragon Guild owned by his family, and mercenaries like the Guang Mercenary Corps, and many more.

Long Tian wiped his mouth, satisfied with his meal.

As he was about to leave, suddenly, he sensed an aura behind him. Turning around, he saw a hyena staring at him.

His gaze locked onto the hyena, and in the next moment, his clone materialized behind it.

The hyena quickly turned to look behind but was too slow to react. A bolt of lightning from Long Tian's finger struck it, causing the creature to convulse and fall lifeless.

Long Tian smiled faintly, for now, he could only create his clone to distract his enemies, he couldn't use it to attack yet. But it was quite useful, as just happened.

He walked away from this area, leaving the hyena behind. It was a regular beast, not worth absorbing its soul.

Meanwhile, outside the Wudang Sect's area, Qin Chen was engrossed in a conversation with Wang Lin and his father, Wang Long.

"I didn't expect to meet the youngest disciple of the Wudang Sect. You're quite talented. What's the rank of your martial spirit?" Wang Long inquired, his interest piqued.

"Unfortunately, it's only a D-Class," Qin Chen replied.

"Is that so? Not bad at all. My advice is never to give up. With your strong foundation in cultivation, you'll be able to support your martial spirit effectively," Wang Long advised.

"I'll keep that in mind, Uncle Wang. Thank you," Qin Chen replied with a smile.

Wang Long nodded, growing more impressed by Qin Chen's courtesy. He hoped that his son, Wang Lin, would spend more time with Qin Chen and learn from him.

"Alright, I have some business to attend to. Will you join me, Lin'er?" he asked.

"No, Dad, I'm going with Qin Chen. And please, don't bring your car," Wang Lin requested.

"No problem. Just make sure to come home on time," Wang Long agreed.

"Don't worry, I'll be back on time," Wang Lin assured him.

Wang Long nodded and said his goodbyes before leaving Wang Lin and Qin Chen.

As he watched his father's departure, Wang Lin led Qin Chen away.

"Where are we going, Brother Wang?" Qin Chen inquired.

"Qin Chen, aren't you too focused on cultivation? Let's have some fun. I know a few enjoyable places," Wang Lin suggested, his face lighting up with a wide grin.

Qin Chen pondered for a moment. While he aimed to become stronger, a bit of fun couldn't hurt.

"Alright, I'll go with you," he agreed.

"Great! You won't regret it," Wang Lin declared.

Together, they entered a car and drove away from the Wudang Sect's area.

Meanwhile, Long Tian continued to explore the Tianzhou Forest. He halted near a waterfall, taking in the beautiful natural scenery, a perfect place for training.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt to practice my Zeus abilities," he mused.

With that, he assumed a stance, and lightning began to emanate from his body.

With a focused gaze, he moved, utilizing the flow of lightning within him, swiftly appearing on a large rock near the waterfall, which was over 50 meters away.

With the same speed, he returned to his previous place.

Long Tian grinned; with intense training, he believed he could attain the speed of actual lightning, exceeding 300,000 kilometers per hour.

At that speed, he could momentarily manipulate time.

Long Tian continued his speed training. The serene atmosphere and breathtaking scenery enhanced his concentration and focus.

The ground frequently trodden by Long Tian's feet appeared scorched due to his lightning-infused steps and super speed.

****************

Unbeknownst to him, more than 30 minutes had passed. At this point, Long Tian was panting, sweat dripping from his face. Nonetheless, he grinned. In just thirty minutes of speed training, he had made considerable progress.

However, at this moment, he sensed some auras behind him. He looked back and saw seven people dressed in traditional Hunter attire approaching him.

Long Tian furrowed his brow; from their demeanor and expressions, they didn't seem to be coming in peace.

One of them, a man in his thirties, stared at Long Tian intently. His interest was piqued when he noticed the gold ring on Long Tian's finger. In a glance, he could tell it was a storage ring.

"Hey, friend, I'm sure you don't want any trouble. So, if you hand over your ring, we'll leave peacefully," he said with a grin.

Long Tian's gaze turned cold. He had already suspected this; they were bandits.

"What if I refuse?" he asked nonchalantly, crossing his arms.

As the man was about to respond, a younger, blond-haired man stepped forward, "If you refuse, then I'll chop you into little pieces and make you a feast for my dog!" he said cruelly.

"Is that so?" Long Tian responded, narrowing his eyes.

Lightning surged around Long Tian's legs, and the next moment, he suddenly appeared in front of the blond-haired man.

His fingers morphed into sharp dragon claws, and in a swift motion, he slashed the man's throat.

"That appears untrue," he remarked as the man's head fell to the ground.

Everyone was shocked by this; the scene happened too quickly!

"Be cautious! He's not an ordinary person!" The leader of the bandits shouted, his tone serious.

However, Long Tian was already on the attack again. Lightning appeared on his legs, and he moved at super speed, appearing in front of a woman carrying a double-edged sword.

He immediately thrust his claws into her chest, piercing through her back and taking her heart.

"Gurk!" The woman's eyes widened, filled with disbelief. The next moment, she fell to the ground.

Before the remaining five people could express their surprise, Long Tian moved again, killing each of them one by one with his dragon claws.

Claw!

Claw!

Claw!

Claw!

Four people, dead, their bodies torn apart mercilessly. Long Tian killed them without mercy!

And now, only the leader of the bandits remained. "You, what kind of monster are you?!" he yelled.

Long Tian didn't answer and moved swiftly, arriving in front of the man. His claws moved quickly towards the man's face.

However, the man parried his attack with his crescent blade. Long Tian was slightly surprised; the material of the blade was obviously not simple to withstand his attack.

He attacked again.

Claw!

Claw!

Claw!

The man managed to dodge all of his attacks.

And now, their clash produced a deafening sound.

Clank!

The man's expression was serious. Long Tian appeared young, but he could match his strength, even stronger.

His eyes suddenly glowing with a fiery red color. "Die!" He yelled.

Slash!

He swung forward, creating a slashing motion with his sword. Long Tian managed to dodge it, but he couldn't hide his surprise.

His gaze was fixed on the man's sword, which gleamed with red runes on its surface. He could clearly identify it; it was a Heartblade.

"Red color, huh? It seems like a demon has taken over your soul," he sneered.

"I'll kill you!" The man shouted, charging at Long Tian.

His hand gripped the hilt of his sword tightly, and he attacked Long Tian blindly.

Clank!

Clank!

Clank!

Clank!

The sound of clashing between his sword and Long Tian's dragon claws echoed through the forest, scaring away many animals.

And at this moment, the man saw an opening; he thrust his sword toward Long Tian's neck.

Long Tian, with lightning-fast reflexes, protected his neck with his arm.

Clank!

The tip of the sword hit Long Tian's arm, and the man's eyes widened with disbelief. His sword couldn't penetrate Long Tian's skin!

"That was an exciting fight," Long Tian said lightly.

His eyes morphed into dragon eyes, and his mouth bulged. The man's expression changed drastically, but it was too late.

Bwooosh!

Long Tian spewed a large stream of fire from his mouth, directly onto the man's head. a

A massive blaze engulfed the area, burning the trees in front of him. A dragon's breath that burned everything.

A few seconds later, the fire vanished from his mouth, and the man's head was seen decapitated.

Long Tian stood in the midst of the aftermath of the battle. He had killed seven people.

He picked up the crescent blade of the man and examined it, "A good sword, but unfortunately, it's slightly curved, not my style," he said.

Even though he didn't like it, he still kept it and walked away from the area.

"I need to find a weapon that suits me. And maybe, I should cut off Qin Chen's opportunity again," he grinned, leaving the scene.
