Chapter 74 Harmony of Thunder and Beast

Three stars, its power was undeniably on par with a cultivator in the Flowing Qi to Nascent Soul realm.

Long Tian's leap landed him squarely before the great white tiger. t

The tiger, sensing Long Tian's presence, released a guttural growl, "Grrrrrr!" its fangs ominously visible.

Without granting Long Tian a moment to think, the tiger lunged forward, "Grrrawr!" its roar joining forces with its razor-sharp claws aimed at Long Tian.

Quickly sidestepping, Long Tian's evasive maneuver directed the tiger's fury toward a hapless tree, felling it with a deafening crash.

Long Tian grinned, "Impressive strength. You're the ideal canvas for me to test my newfound power," he remarked.

With that, a cerulean aura began to envelop him, accompanied by crackling bolts of lightning that erupted from his body.

Behind him, a towering, mighty Zeus materialized.

"I'm going to savor every moment," he grinned.

In the blink of an eye, he surged forth with the swiftness of a lightning strike, vanishing from the tiger's bewildered gaze.

The tiger, caught off guard, altered its stance, searching frantically yet failing to detect any trace of Long Tian.

Moments later, it sensed a sudden disturbance, glimpsing a streak of blue light to its side, though it was too slow to react.

A bolt of lightning-imbued strike connected with its face.

Bang!

The tiger was sent hurtling, crashing mercilessly into a cluster of towering trees.

Long Tian maintained his grin; this was his first experiment with his Zeus ability. Moving at lightning's speed rendered him almost weightless. Granted, it wasn't a true lightning's velocity, which hurls at a blistering 300,000 km per hour - a far cry.

But Long Tian harbored a conviction that, through further refining this newfound power, he might eventually bridge that gap.

Observing the tiger, still sprawled across the forest floor, Long Tian taunted, "Is this all you've got? That was just a single punch," he sneered.

The tiger's silence was deafening. However, a sudden, palpable surge of power from behind caught Long Tian by surprise.

Before he could whirl around, he was ensnared in an unforeseen pummeling.

Bang!

He was sent careening several meters, colliding forcefully with a tree. His expression contorted gravely as he surveyed the area ahead, revealing nothing of note.

"Grrrawr!" The tiger abruptly snapped awake, its eyes aflame, and it lunged relentlessly at Long Tian, brandishing its talons menacingly.

Swiftly regaining his footing, Long Tian nimbly sidestepped, landing a few meters clear of the tiger's ferocious assault.

His brow furrowed; it appeared the tiger possessed its own arsenal of abilities.

Yet again, he perceived a formidable surge from the rear and instinctively dropped into a defensive crouch.

Casting a wary glance over his shoulder, Long Tian spotted the tiger's spectral twin, as if ethereal. The doppelg?nger promptly vanished from view.

He rose, his grin unabated. "So, that's your ace in the hole, huh? Well, this is growing more captivating by the second," he mused.

With newfound determination, he lunged at the tiger, the two of them clashing with unrestrained fury. Their battle was a relentless exchange of punches and raw physical power.

However, Long Tian found himself unable to maintain his lightning speed continuously, as it drained him excessively. Furthermore, it was his maiden foray into wielding the Zeus ability, necessitating adaptation.

In the hulking tiger, Long Tian had discovered the perfect opponent.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

The forest echoed with the cacophony of their unrelenting strikes, an ardent clash.

In this crucial juncture, Long Tian detected an opening. He darted aside at lightning velocity, his fingertips transmuting into razor-sharp dragon claws.

Just as he poised to carve into the tiger's colossal frame, the phantom twin of the tiger materialized, hurtling toward him.

In a pincer maneuver, Long Tian was cornered and immobilized. In the end, he collided with the doppelg?nger, tumbling to the ground.

"Grraaaargh!"

The tiger pounced on him with a vengeance, delivering an onslaught of relentless claw strikes.

Long Tian lay prone on the ground, absorbing each assault from the relentless tiger. His skin was adorned with a tapestry of claw marks, and his countenance remained stoic, betraying no pain.

As he withstood the relentless barrage, the tiger's savagery only intensified.

It appeared that the agony kindled something deep within Long Tian. His pupils ignited with an electric azure hue, his body enshrouded in crackling lightning.

"Enough!" He bellowed, conjuring forth a mighty bolt of lightning, inducing the tiger to roar in agony as it recoiled from the divine fury.

Long Tian floated aloft, enveloped in a nimbus of lightning. His cascade of long hair crackled with static energy.

While the tiger appeared dumbfounded by the sudden tempest, burn marks from the prior lightning strike scarred its hide.

"I shall end this," Long Tian murmured.

With a thunderous roar from the sky, his outstretched hand, aglow with lightning, bore down upon the tiger.

Rumble!

Bang!

A colossal lightning bolt struck the tiger, and it wasn't over in a mere second; the deluge of lightning endured for as long as Long Tian wished.

The sheer magnitude of the lightning was such that even a tiger the size of a car vanished within the tempest.

Long Tian's countenance remained unyielding. He had been cognizant throughout, though he couldn't fathom the wellspring of this burgeoning power.

Several moments elapsed before he finally lowered his hand, dispelling the storm, unveiling the scorched and desiccated ground, with the tiger sprawled motionless, bearing the scars of the lightning's wrath.

Long Tian descended to the earth, the corona of lightning gradually receding.

As he approached the tiger, detecting no vestige of life, he confirmed its demise.

"What an exhilarating duel. It has been eons since I engaged in such earnest combat since arriving in this world," he conceded.

Before, he had been underwhelmed by the absence of a worthy adversary. Now, however, his spirits surged with newfound vigor, invigorated by this spirit beast.

"And now, your turn. Your cloning ability is rather potent. It would be a missed opportunity if I didn't absorb it," he declared, assuming a seat beside the lifeless tiger.

His goal was to absorb the tiger's clone ability. It wasn't an impossible feat; in fact, any practitioner could do it.
