Chapter 39: A Mother's Concern

"I canceled everything for my son! At least tell me about Tian'er's condition!" Xia Yunfei retorted.
Long Zhan let out a sigh; Xia Yunfei was graceful, gentle, and calm, but she turned into a different person when she was with their son, Long Tian.
He knew Xia Yunfei was overly protective of Long Tian, which hindered his development. Spoiled by her care, Long Tian struggled to grow independently.
As a father, of course, he wants his son to be independent and versatile. Unlike Xia Yunfei, she had always been worried about Long Tian. For example, she sent a peak golden core realm cultivator, Ling Han, as his bodyguard.

After a few seconds, Shen Yulan exited Long Ju's body and revealed herself to Xia Yunfei and Long Zhan.
"What? Who are you?" Xia Yunfei asked with a cold demeanor.
"Calm down; I am not your enemy. On the contrary, I saved this person's life. The technique he used is ancient and irrelevant. If he continued, he would have died in vain," Shen Yulan replied.
"Is that so? Give me a reason to trust you," Xia Yunfei said icily.
"Let Ling Han explain," Shen Yulan suggested.
Xia Yunfei and Long Zhan turned their gaze towards Ling Han.
Seeing their stares, Ling Han quickly explained, "Well, she is one of Young Master Long's friends, whom he encountered in a cave. Don't worry; she is very powerful, and I believe she can heal Young Master."
Xia Yunfei remained skeptical. "Are you sure, Ling Han?" she inquired.
"I'm certain, ma'am. Please don't ask any further; it's part of Young Master's secret, and I can't disclose more. But rest assured, ma'am, I will ensure Young Master's safety," Ling Han assured.
Upon hearing this, Xia Yunfei's doubts eased. She then turned to Shen Yulan, "Alright, I will entrust my son to you. Make sure you heal him, okay?" she said.
"Don't worry; I've got it covered. Also, I need some privacy. At least the three of you can leave, and let Ling Han stay here as a precaution," Shen Yulan requested.
"Okay," Xia Yunfei nodded.
With that, she and Long Zhan exited, carrying the unconscious Long Ju with them.
The door closed, leaving only Ling Han and Shen Yulan with Long Tian.
"Now, what are you going to do?" Ling Han suddenly asked.
"Firstly, I need a drop of blood from each of them."
