Chapter 17: Go to the Wudang sect

"Don't toy with me, are you pretending after you nearly murdered me? I can't believe it," Ning Yuan voiced, her tone soaked with disbelief and a hint of lingering fear.

Long Tian was taken aback by her words, confusion etching deep furrows on his brows. His mind churned, grappling with hazy memories of the last few minutes.

"Look, I'm genuinely perplexed by what has happened. As far as I remember, you pulled me here, and then... I recall nothing after that," he admitted, his voice carrying undertones of deep perplexity.

Ning Yuan narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing Long Tian carefully, her gaze as sharp as a hawk's. "Are you speaking the truth? You're not playing games with me, are you?" she demanded, the frosty chill in her voice hanging heavy in the air between them.

"Why would I play games with you? Just tell me what happened," Long Tian responded, his tone layered with urgency and impatience.

Ning Yuan remained silent for a moment, studying Long Tian's face. The sincerity etched in his features convinced her that he was telling the truth.

"Earlier, you suddenly gripped my neck and your pupils turned an eerie blue. Also, your aura felt drastically different... it wasn't the aura of a cultivator. It was... something else," Ning Yuan said earnestly.

Long Tian frowned deeper at her explanation. Blue pupils, an odd aura... He genuinely didn't know about it. Even after recalling the original plot, there was nothing like this. Long Tian was merely a genius with a strong soul spirit, nothing more.

"Well, I have no clue about that. But one thing you must know, I will not hand over this jade to you or Qin Chen, it belongs to me now," Long Tian declared, his tone icy cold.

Ning Yuan bit her lip, she coveted the jade, but she couldn't push Long Tian any further. The memory of Long Tian's grip and his terrifying eyes still etched vividly in her mind.

"Long Tian, it's just an ordinary jade, why did you take it? There are countless valuable jades worth millions of yuan in this world. Why did you have to take something that belongs to Qin Chen?" Ning Yuan queried.

"Then tell him I'll buy it for a million yuan," Long Tian replied nonchalantly, crossing his arms across his chest.

"It's not about the money, Long Tian. That jade is his family heirloom, you should understand that. So, please return it to him," Ning Yuan implored, her voice filled with earnestness.

Hearing this, Long Tian sneered. He crouched down next to Ning Yuan and said, "If you really want me to return the jade to him, perhaps we could discuss it in my chamber."

Ning Yuan's expression instantly turned stormy, "That will never happen!" she retorted.

Long Tian chuckled lightly, rising to his full height, "Then the jade will remain mine. Besides, something inside it agrees," he said, pulling out the jade from around his neck.

"Say something, lady," Long Tian commanded.

The jade slowly radiated a dim green light.

"He said the truth," the lady inside the jade spoke.

Hearing this, Ning Yuan's eyes widened, her expression a mix of disbelief and shock.

"What? Why are you with Long Tian?" she asked in disbelief.

But there was no response from the woman inside the jade.

"See? This jade is mine now," Long Tian declared with a smirk, putting the jade back on.

Ning Yuan fell completely silent, she hadn't anticipated that the mysterious woman inside the jade would choose Long Tian.

She knew about it, Qin Chen had told her there was a mysterious woman inside the jade. It had been three months since she remembered, and she had learned a lot from the mysterious woman.

"Now you know the truth, then I'll take my leave," Long Tian said, leaving Ning Yuan with a myriad of thoughts buzzing in her mind.

***********

Long Tian returned to the school area, only to realize his friends weren't there.

Riing - Riing!

Just as he was about to leave, his phone suddenly rang. He looked at the caller ID, it was Bai Li, one of his friends.

He immediately picked it up.

"Hey, Long Tian, sorry for leaving you. Li Guowu fainted earlier and we took him to the hospital, but he's okay now," Bai Li explained.

"No problem, I also saw him faint earlier. Just tell him to get a lot of rest. I'm a bit busy today, so I'll leave first," Long Tian replied.

"Alright, see you later," Bai Li said, ending the call.

Long Tian didn't hang up his phone, but rather he dialed someone else.

A few seconds later, the call was connected.

"Hello, Uncle Ling, can I meet with you?" Long Tian asked.

"Of course, young master. Do you need anything?" Ling Han inquired.

"I want to go to the Wudang Sect, can you accompany me?"
