Chapter 138 The Villains's Arrival

"I had no idea there was a miniature version of Kong here," the young man said, a smirk playing on his face.

From his appearance, it was clear that he was Long Tian. The battlefield was quite far from his estimate, and he needed to clear the soul beasts on the streets before reaching here.

His attention was drawn to a woman lying on the ground. With a swift jump, he landed right beside her.

"Are you able to stand?" Long Tian inquired, his tone calm.

Gu Yixian sighed in relief, responding, "I'm severely injured. I'm uncertain if I can stand or not."

"In that case, I might be able to help," Long Tian said, then crouched down and gently placed his hands on Gu Yixian's body.

Gu Yixian was surprised, "What are you trying to do?" she questioned.

Long Tian didn't answer and instead channeled lightning energy from his hands into her body.

It was an ability he had recently learned; his electrical flow could heal internal injuries. Though he hadn't mastered it fully, he was proficient enough.

Gu Yixian, on the other hand, was somewhat shocked by what was happening. She felt a strange energy flowing through her, making her feel better. Even the pain from her previous wounds seemed to be subsiding.

She stared at Long Tian, suspecting his intentions, but it seemed like he was attempting to heal her.

Gu Yixian closed her eyes, allowing Long Tian to do his work.

Meanwhile, a young man in his twenties with slightly long hair, decent appearance, and clad in armor, hurried towards the aftermath of the battle.

Yet, he frowned upon seeing Long Tian touching Gu Yixian's body. He immediately ran towards them.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing? Let go of her!" he barked, forcefully shoving Long Tian away.

Long Tian furrowed his brows. "I'm trying to heal her. Now back off," he retorted, his tone laced with annoyance.

"Heal her? You're just taking adventage of her while she's defenseless," the man shot back, his voice dripping with disdain.

Hearing this familiar voice, Gu Yixian opened her eyes and noticed the man.

She swiftly explained, "He's trying to heal me, Tianming, don't jump to conclusions."

Her words hung in the air, silencing Zhao Tianming.

"See? Relax, man, I won't steal your woman," Long Tian said.

Gu Yixian quickly clarified, "Oh, we're just friends," she said, sitting up with a smile, "And thanks for healing me. I feel much better now."

Long Tian stood up. His gaze shifted to Zhao Tianming then drawing closer to him. "You're just in the friend zone. You see, son, strong women usually don't like overly protective men. You're utterly out of the game," he whispered, his voice laced with disdain and mockery.

"You better watch your mouth, punk, or something bad might happen to you," Zhao Tianming said coldly, his tone sharp as a blade.

Long Tian's response was smug, his smile tinged with malice. "Ohh, I'm trembling in fear," he taunted. "So, what's your grand plan?" he goaded, his challenge hanging in the air like a threat.

Gu Yixian sensed the tension between the two of them and immediately intervened, "Enough, both of you! This is a critical situation. Instead of bickering, you should be collaborating to handle the Rampage threat."

Zhao Tianming, bristling with anger, was on the verge of retaliating, but his intention was abruptly silenced by a distant, piercing shout.

"Tianming, where are you?" The shout reverberated loudly, echoing from a another block.

"That's Elder Yu's voice. It seems the academy reinforcements have arrived," Zhao Tianming declared, his voice edged with urgency.

"In that case, you should hurry there immediately. Elder Yu doesn't tolerate delays," Gu Yixian instructed, her tone firm.

Zhao Tianming nodded firmly. "Catch up with me as soon as possible," he said before swiftly sprinting off toward the adjacent block.

Long Tian watched Zhao Tianming's departure, his irritation festering at being shoved without any understanding of the situation.

From every angle, Zhao Tianming appeared to be an arrogant young master, likely a member of some prestigious academy.

His gaze returned to Gu Yixian, who was now standing tall. "Are you certain you're fine now?" he asked.

"Yes, thanks to your healing," Gu Yixian responded, a grateful smile gracing her lips.

"No problem. I came here after hearing the commotion; fortunately, I arrived just in time," Long Tian replied, his smile mirroring hers.

Gu Yixian nodded appreciatively. "You're exceptionally strong. You appear younger than me, yet you effortlessly dispatched that gorilla. It was a four-star soul beast, you know," she remarked.

"Well, it was weakened by your earlier attacks. I simply finished the job," Long Tian explained modestly.

Gu Yixian nodded in understanding. "By the way, I'm Gu Yixian. And you?" she said, extending her hand in a friendly gesture.

Long Tian shook her hand firmly. "I'm Long Tian," he said, his smile unwavering.

Gu Yixian raised an eyebrow, curiosity lighting her eyes. "Long family? That means you possess a dragon martial spirit?" she inquired, surprise lacing her voice.

"Yes, it's a hereditary martial spirit," Long Tian confirmed with a nod.

Gu Yixian acknowledged his response with a nod of her own. "Alright, I suppose we should rejoin the others. The Rampage is far from over," she declared.

"Indeed," Long Tian agreed.

"I'll on my way," Gu Yixian said.

With that, she swiftly departed, heading toward the direction Zhao Tianming had taken earlier.

Long Tian observed her departure before redirecting his gaze forward.

This area was now lay empty of soul beasts; nearly all of the monsters had fallen under Gu Yixian's divine attack.

"I should seek out another battleground," he mused aloud.

With lightning crackling at his feet, he leaped into the air with a powerful surge, landing atop a nearby building. His eyes surveyed the scene below.

After a moment, his attention shifted to another highway, where thousands of soul beasts clashed fiercely with warriors from diverse factions.

A predatory grin crept onto Long Tian's face, and with unwavering determination, he ascended into the sky, his form engulfed in crackling lightning.

--------

Meanwhile, at another battlefield location, hundreds of people were overwhelmed by the sheer number of soul beasts.

"Hasn't the reinforcement from the empire arrived yet? We can't possibly face thousands of monsters," a middle-aged man clad in armor, one-eyed, said, his tone filled with frustration.

"I think we can only wait while attacking those monsters, sir. A new signal has been sent to the other factions," a man in his thirties replied.

The middle-aged man didn't respond, yet he felt displeased with the empire's sluggishness.

Though outnumbered, there were dozens of elites present, and they easily slaughtered the monsters.

Amidst the chaos, a man armed with two massive swords leaped fearlessly into the heart of the monster horde. His blades slashed with deadly precision, each strike cleaving through several soul beasts effortlessly, showcasing his exceptional combat skills.

Whenever a soul beast approached, he countered with swift and precise strikes, his movements calculated and lethal.

However, in a sudden turn of events, a four-legged monster, reminiscent of a tiger but adorned with sharp spikes and the bulk of an elephant, leaped into the air, aiming directly for him.

The man dodged with impressive agility, but his expression darkened in seriousness.

"A two-star ranked soul beast? Are you kidding me?!" he exclaimed, beads of sweat forming on his face as he realized the magnitude of the threat.

His protest, however, was drowned out by a deafening roar from the ferocious creature.

"ROAAAAAARRRR!"

The roar reverberated so intensely that it weakened even the sturdiest warriors struggling to maintain their footing. Most of them clutched their ears, unable to withstand the overwhelming sound.

Seizing the opportunity, the savage soul beasts attacked the disoriented warriors without mercy.

"Ahhh, no!"

"Stay away, you monsters!"

"Aaaargh!"

The battlefield echoed with anguished screams as the soul beasts mercilessly slaughtered their prey, reveling in the chaos they wrought.

The one-eyed man stared in disbelief. In his mind, there was only one word: "Death."

His hands went limp; he had lost all hope. His Emberwing Academy troops were utterly defeated here, their fate sealed by the merciless onslaught.

But suddenly, he felt something shining in the sky. He looked up and saw a yellow light resembling a falling meteor, speeding toward the soul beasts.

Boom!

The object landed right in the midst of the soul beasts, creating a thunderous explosion, instantly killing many of the savage soul beasts by the blast.

Dust scattered widely, obscuring the view. The one-eyed man stared intently at the dust cloud, his desperate hope clinging to the possibility of aid.

Suddenly, the once bright daytime sky grew ominous, darkening ominously.

Rumble!

Thunder rumbled through the sky, a prelude to the impending storm.

In the next moment, hundreds of lightning bolts lanced down from the heavens, striking the battlefield with unrelenting fury. The nearest soul beasts bore the brunt of nature's wrath.

As the dust cleared, a figure emerged— a young man enveloped in yellow lightning, his presence commanding and lethal. In his wake, the soul beasts met their gruesome demise.

The warriors, their spirits rekindled, felt a surge of hope flood their hearts.

"Help has arrived!"

Their cheers echoed across the battlefield, reigniting the fervor within them.

The young man was none other than Long Tian.

Both his hands crackled with energy, taking the form of razor-sharp dragon claws, deadlier than ever before.

He assaulted the soul beasts before him, each strike tearing their bodies asunder and leaving ghastly claw wounds in their wake.

Amidst the onslaught, yellow lightning struck from the sky, intensifying the brutality of Long Tian's merciless slaughter.

The spiked tiger roared ferociously, its fiery red gaze locking onto Long Tian.

Meanwhile, Long Tian met the tiger's challenging stare. He raised an eyebrow, realizing it was a two-star soul beast.

A grin stretched across his lips. "Come here, little kitty," he taunted, his voice dripping with mockery.

The spiked tiger responded with a menacing growl, its entire body tensed with aggression as it lunged at him.

In response, Long Tian extended his arms, and the tattoos on his arms transformed into dragons, fierce and magnificent. They soared towards the attacking tiger with unparalleled speed and ferocity.

One of the dragons clamped its jaws around the tiger's massive body, lifting it into the air. The tiger struggled futilely, but the dragon tossed it high into the air, leaving it defenseless against the impending onslaught.

In midair, the tiger was vulnerable, and the other dragon pounced without mercy. Its claws slashed through the air, each strike leaving deep, merciless wounds on the tiger's flesh.

The two dragons tore into the spiked tiger ruthlessly, inflicting pain upon it akin to a nightmare. The tiger's roars of agony echoed across the battlefield, drowned out by the onslaught.

With a final, brutal blow, one of the dragons whipped its tail, sending the tiger soaring once again, its body broken and battered.

The other dragon opened its jaws wide, devouring the tiger whole, ending its life in a swift, merciless gulp.

The two-star beast met its demise so easily, crushed under the might of Long Tian's black dragons.

Long Tian's grin widened, thoroughly satisfied with the prowess of his formidable companions.

His gaze shifted back to the remaining soul beasts; there were still at least 900 of them, and Long Tian's eyes glinted with ruthless determination.

"Now, let's slaughter them!" he declared.

The shadow of Shen Long materialized behind him, and he lunged directly at the soul beasts.

--------------

The battle raged on. At least 6,000 soul beasts attacked the city of Tianhai, all pouring in directly from the forest.

Several factions, such as the Wudang sect, Xuantian Academy, Emberwing Academy, Phoenix sect, and others, joined forces to stop the Rampage.

However, amidst the chaos, a car came to a halt on a street somewhat distant from the battlefield.

The door opened, revealing a young man with striking features.

"Hopefully, I'll find something good here," he said, a sinister grin forming on his face.

With those words, the imposing figure of Gilgamesh, the legendary King of Sumeria, materialized behind him.

He soared into the air, while golden wings unfurled majestically behind him. With a resolute intention, he made his way toward the battlefield.

From his appearance, he looked eerily familiar; he was none other than Zhou Jun.
