Chapter 130 A Villain System?!

"Hahahaha, exceptional! It's been a while since someone impressed me this much. Long Tian, have you ever considered joining the Wudang sect? If you maintain this level of performance, I can appoint you as the sect leader's successor!" Gu Huanzong exclaimed, his excitement and eagerness resonating in his voice.

The unexpected offer left everyone, including Long Tian, in surprise and astonishment.

"Grand Elder, are you certain about this? While Long Tian is undoubtedly talented, such a decision shouldn't be made hastily," Han Yuan interjected, his tone earnest.

"Why hesitate? For a genius like Long Tian, I would gladly support him as the future leader of the Wudang sect," Gu Huanzong replied confidently.

"But it seems a bit... excessive," Han Yuan remarked, trying to temper the situation.

"Alright, let's move past this for now. What do you say, Long Tian?" Gu Huanzong inquired earnestly, his gaze fixed on Long Tian.

Feeling scrutinized by all present, Long Tian felt uneasy under the pressure. He hadn't anticipated Gu Huanzong considering him as the successor to the Wudang sect leader.

"I appreciate your enthusiasm, Grand Elder. The honor of becoming the successor of the Wudang sect leader is undoubtedly great, but I need some time to consider this offer thoroughly," Long Tian replied diplomatically.

"That's acceptable. You don't need to provide an immediate response. My words remain unchanged regardless of your decision," Gu Huanzong declared.

Long Tian nodded in acknowledgment. "I understand, Grand Elder. For now, my focus is on Elder Han's challenge," he stated.

"I'll be here, observing," Gu Huanzong assured.

With that, Long Tian joined Lu Feng and others in the ongoing challenge.

The task was to use a needle, a stark contrast to his previous training with knives. He needed to recalibrate his techniques accordingly.

"Forget about the rest and concentrate on the challenge at hand," Han Yuan advised, redirecting everyone's focus.

He addressed the group of disciples. "Listen closely. The challenge begins now. Each disciple will receive three needles. If you exhaust your supply and haven't inserted any into the center of the archery target using the wind eye technique, you fail," he proclaimed.

The disciples nodded in understanding. Han Yuan then turned his attention to Long Tian.

"As for our exceptional genius here, Long Tian, with your skills, you should be able to achieve this with just one needle," Han Yuan commented, handing a needle to Long Tian.

Long Tian accepted the needle, though he couldn't shake off the feeling that Han Yuan was intentionally making things difficult for him.

----------

Ten minutes passed, and only three disciples managed to insert the needle accurately using the wind eye technique into the center of the archery target.

Long Tian watched one of the disciples practicing it. The needle didn't move straight; it curved. Moreover, the archery target floated directionlessly in the air, making it even more challenging.

Each disciple was allowed three attempts, but he had only one chance. He needed to master this technique beforehand.

"Argh, why is this so challenging?!"

"I have only one needle left. Failing now means missing out on this opportunity!"

"It's nearly impossible!"

Frustration filled the air as many struggled with the demanding challange. Long Tian empathized; channeling the wind eye technique onto the delicate surface of the needle was indeed exceptionally challenging.

He could easily channel the Wind Eye technique into the knife due to the knife's heavier mass compared to the needle. Moreover, the knife's wider surface area made it easier for the wind to envelop it.

His gaze shifted to the needle in his hand.

"You need to focus on the core," a voice chimed in from his side.

Long Tian turned and saw a young woman around his age. With effortless grace, she inserted the needle swiftly and accurately into the target's center.

Long Tian was slightly impressed; the woman did it so effortlessly.

"Oh, another archery target down. Only one remains," Han Yuan announced, a smile forming on his lips.

The woman smiled at Long Tian, introducing herself. "I'm Xia Yue. I've seen you around, Long Tian, but this is our first conversation."

Long Tian raised an eyebrow. "Oh, are you from the Xia family?" he asked.

"Yes, my brother is Xia Jun. You might know him?" Xia Yue asked.

"Xia Jun? I'm afraid I don't," Long Tian admitted.

"No worries. Good luck!" Xia Yue said, then, heading towards the group of successful participants.

After her departure, Long Tian refocused on the needle in his hand.

With a determined mindset, he held the needle delicately, just like Xia Yue had demonstrated, and concentrated intensely.

The fusion of the wind strike technique and weapon enhancement enveloped the needle, creating a thin, azure energy.

He struck swiftly, the needle propelled forward with precision. Several needles, mere moments away from hitting the archery target, deflected upon contact with Long Tian's needle.

Stab!

The needle landed true, piercing the center of the archery target.

A triumphant smile graced Long Tian's face, while others who had fallen short shared glances of disappointment.

"Hahaha, outstanding. He accomplished it in less than half an hour," Gu Huanzong praised, his laughter filling the air.

However, Han Yuan's expression soured. Despite this, he declared, "The challenge is concluded. With Long Tian's success, we have our five participants."

Disappointment washed over those who hadn't made the cut.

Long Tian, alongside Xia Yue, Lu Feng, and the others, received tokens from Han Yuan.

"Now, proceed to the Soul Hall," Han Yuan instructed.

The five nodded in unison before making their way to the revered Soul Hall.

As they left, Han Yuan glanced back at the remaining disciples. A sudden realization struck him—Qin Chen was currently inside the Soul Hall.

He moved to follow but was interrupted by a message echoing in his mind.

"All Elders, please convene in the main hall."

It was Shi Huang's voice.

"Looks like the meeting is about to commence. Let's go, Elder Han," Gu Huanzong said, urging him forward.

Han Yuan wore a troubled expression, his thoughts preoccupied. He hoped that Qin Chen wouldn't be provoked or act impulsively upon encountering Long Tian.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious villa in Shanghai, a young man reclined on a plush bed, staring in surprise at a holographic display before him.
