While mankind spends three weeks gathering their forces and preparing for an all-out war, the Normie Union and their affiliated organizations didn't stay idle.
They chose to stay by Zayn's side and support him by all possible means by forming teams to hunt down the remaining Demonlings and to enter the deeper parts of the Demon King's territory to hunt more Demons and Demonic Beasts.
With the help of several thousand Normies and the Spirit Army – whose number had long since exceeded the five-digit mark – it was no problem to hunt countless Demon and Demonic Beasts.
Their corpses were stored and brought to Glutton to devour. However, instead of giving Zayn all Soul Orbs to absorb, Glutton absorbed the Soul Orbs it produced. Why? The reason was simple and logical.
The higher Glutton's Soul Rank the faster the digestion process, and the easier Glutton could produce Soul Orbs. Even the quality of the Soul Orbs improved alongside the Soul Rank of the Mutated Gluttony Termite Queen!
Glutton could eat more and faster. Simultaneously, Glutton's Soul Orbs improved in quality the higher its rank. Thus, Zayn focused on nourishing Glutton until it completed six Soulrings. With the constant effort of everyone present, this required only two weeks, and the dynamics across the entire Demon territory changed drastically afterward.
Glutton's surroundings had been covered with corpses that had accumulated over the course of two weeks. However, one night – the night Glutton completed its sixth Soulrings – everything changed. The corpses disappeared, leaving behind golden Soul Orbs.
They shimmered brightly and formed links with one another, creating a golden see around Glutton.
When Zayn saw what Glutton did within a single night, he was shocked. However, he was even more pleased with the decision to increase Glutton's Soul Rank rather than focusing on his advancement.
The Normie Union and others wanted to focus on improving Zayn's Soul Rank to expand his Spirit Army faster and make sure that he could manifest stronger Spirits before it was too late.
However, Zayn and a few selected had different opinions, and they made their points clear enough to convince the majority to focus their resources on Glutton until it finished its sixth Soulring.
After two weeks of tireless work without any rest, and close to five million corpses that had been devoured, Glutton was a Soul Saint, and able to turn into a shredder with integrated Soul Orb production.
Zayn collected the high-quality Soul Orbs without hesitation. He wanted to tell the others but recalled that their plan was to expand his Army of Spirits now that the first part of their plan was completed.
Thus, Zayn devoured all Soul Orbs for the next two days to increase his strength drastically. The Normies continued to hunt Demons. Their corpses were given to Glutton, who created more Soul Orbs rapidly.
At this point in time, the Demon King couldn't leave the Normies alone anymore. They had placed around on his territory for too long. The Demon King's forces had been gathered and he attacked the Normies with all his might.
That happened three days before the Blessed Armies arrived.
Zayn expected the forces of the human territory to arrive earlier, but the Demon King and his entire force of more than 30 million Demons arrived earlier.
However, Zayn didn't back away, and neither did the Normies. They had accepted that it was time to let their fists speak, instead of trying to use words to convince others that they wanted to be part of mankind. If speaking was not enough, maybe some violence was needed, especially with the presence of the Divine Beings and their influence.
If not for the Divine Beings and the missions they gave the Blessed, things would have been much easier. Unfortunately, Blessings existed and so did the Divine Beings. The entire society had to be overthrown, and maybe it was necessary to beat the Divine Beings into a pulp.
Unfortunately, the latter was more difficult than overthrowing society. Defeating them in a large-scale battle was only the first step…one of many.
On the battlefield, the Demon King's forces opposed the Normies. Their numerical advantage was clear to everyone, but no Demon believed that today would be an easy victory.
After sending four large armies of Demons over the course of the last two weeks to face and extinguish the Normies that were ravaging their lands, the Demon King and his subjects couldn't take their opponents lightly anymore.
The four large armies of Demons had been annihilated, without leaving a single man alive. If that wasn't already bad enough, the Normies ravaging their lands didn't grow weaker. On the contrary, their strength increased, and their desire to conquer the entire Demon territory seemed to have been ignited.
The Demon King couldn't allow his people to suffer any longer, and he put all his men together to face the invaders once and for all. They had to be eliminated, even if that meant millions had to sacrifice themselves!!
On the battlefield, Zayn and the Normies faced the humongous army of the Demon King. There was no sight of the Spirit Army, but that could hardly be considered a problem.
"Let's go all out from the start!" Normie King shouted at the top of his lungs.
The battle cries of thousands of Normies rang through the battlefield, filling all men with the excitement about the upcoming battle.
They were scared, that was for sure. However, they also knew that now was the time to show everyone how strong they were and how determined they were to reach back to the surface, to stop hiding from the world, and their enemies!
There was no need for the Normies to fear lacking the energy to fight. After all, each of them had been given more than a thousand Soul Orbs of the highest quality.
None of them had to hold back their strength or energy to fight a drawn-out battle. On the contrary, they could go all out and use as much energy as they wished!
Zayn had more than enough Soul Orbs stored in the Silvermoon Bracelet as well. He didn't have to hold back, and neither was it necessary for his Spirits to do the same. He and his Spirits had worked out a simple plan to keep his Spirits full of energy and ready to slice their way through their opponents!
With that in mind, Zayn didn't shy away from charging at the tens of millions of Demons that were vigilantly staring down on the thousands of powerhouses that had survived the dangers of being born as prey, toys of the Blessed and Gods, and as weaklings without the necessary power to fend for themselves.
The times had changed, and Normies wouldn't back away from dangers anymore. It was not time to fight their oppressors and show what they were capable of!
With a sole use of Cy-Stride, Zayn emerged amidst his enemies. However, he was not alone. After progressing in the rank of a Soul Adel, Zayn's Army of Spirits expanded rapidly. That being said, his Soulrings began to rotate rapidly, and so did the Soul Symbols as Zayn open the Gates to the outside world.
