His soul might feel empty and as if it was missing something, but it had been tended to.

That was something Zayn could tell clearly.

However, he didn't overcome this peril without any losses.

"The Sparrow Spirits disappeared, Agile and Maman were able to severe their link as Spirits, and Mocawl, the Aerial Hunters, The Assault Pack, and the Defense Horde were sacrificed to artificially close the hole left behind by the robed man's attack…what a mess…" Zayn mumbled quietly to himself.

And it was not only that. He did not only lose some of his precious Spirits but all of his Spirits lost the soul particles they'd accumulated. Even their Soulrings disappeared, deprived in order to mend their master's Soul.

'Zelia mentioned that I absorbed a tremendous number of soul particles while I was in a coma, and King acknowledged that they entered his Soul while continuing to accumulate soul particles. That means several Spirits have been sacrificed, the entire progress of close to 800 Spirits has been voided and the accumulation of one nine months of constant absorption of soul particles was required to mend my soul? Well, damn!!'

It was shocking and frustrating that the Grimoire of the Ancient was not with him anymore, but it was also a nice surprise that his Spirits ended up transferring to his Soul when the Grimoire had been ripped out of his Soul.

'King mentioned something about being thrown out of the Grimoire…let's just ignore that for the time being.'

Interestingly enough, there were not only disadvantages with the loss of his Grimoire. Herculean's innate talent increased from average to superior. The same happened to Glutton as well. Other than that, nobody's talent increased.

Zayn was not yet sure how that happened but it was something he could solve later. After all, there were too many things on his to-do list.

'Storing the Spirits in my Soul feels a little weird. The accumulation of soul particles inside them is also minuscule right now. Once they accumulate more soul particles, my Soul will burst apart the moment all of my Spirits want to be stored inside.'

eaglesnov?1,сoМ It was not too difficult to find a solution to the storage problem. He already saw it in a memory before, but the Zayn of the past liked to use his Soulring for more things.

The Zayn of the past engraved symbols on the Soulring in order to create certain abilities, artificially, of course. The Symbols looked similar to the Symbols of the Spirits when they were stored in the empty pages of the Grimoire of the Ancient. Taking this similarity into consideration, Zayn hoped that he could create some storage space for his Spirits inside his Soulrings.

That would solve one of his biggest problems.

The issue was only that Zayn had no idea how to create these symbols. He could use some soul particles to scribble on the surface of his Soulrings, but Zayn was not sure if that would be enough.

'I can always give it a try. If it doesn't work, I will change my approach,' Zayn thought.

But before he would start experimenting, he had to improve his physical condition. His mental state had improved quite a bit. He felt the desire to beat the shit out of the robed man and retrieve the Grimoire of the Ancient.

However, Zayn also considered the loss of the Grimoire as an opportunity. It was apparent that he depended on the Grimoire of the Ancient. The emptiness and sensation of loss were not only caused by the hole in his soul. This sensation was created from his mentality, and the desperation of having been overwhelmed by a single opponent.

Calling the robed man an opponent was an overestimation of his own capabilities if he was to be honest with himself. Zayn was more like a plaything for the robed man, whose goal had been the Grimoire of the Ancient, and nothing else.

'That robed man knew the traits of the Grimoire better than me…he precisely cut the Grimoire of the Ancient out of my soul and body as if he knew the properties of his body, soul and everything else. A normal human could have never achieved that. Was it another race? A divine being? Argh…this is so frustrating…'

"Are you frustrated, young man? Your anger is understandable, that's for sure," The voice of an old man rang through the room all of a sudden.

Zayn didn't know that someone entered the room. He had been too focused on his own thoughts.

Looking up, he was faced with a familiar face. It was an old man wearing a dark robe.

The corners of Zayn's lips curled upward but his expression soon resumed to its somber look.

"Normie King. How long has it been since we last met?" Zayn asked, trying to sound optimistic. Unfortunately, he failed miserably.

His expression spoke volumes about his true feelings and the old Normie King could only smile.

'This youth is really bad at hiding his true feelings. At least, he is not trying to cut off someone's arm this time.'

"My granddaughter told me that you woke up. She also told me that you asked about the Otherworldler and how she knew that you were in the possession of a Grimoire. Just know that only the higher-ups of the Normie Union know about your situation, that you are an Otherworldler, and about your Spirits," Normie King said calmly.

His words caused Zayn to squint his eyes, which the Normie King noticed. The tension in the boy's body increased at once and it looked like he was ready to fight, even though he knew that he would lose for sure.

"Zelia is my granddaughter, and she knows about your background because I told her about it. You cannot imagine how shocked I was when I fond out that the boy she brought back was actually someone I was familiar with," Normie King exclaimed, laughing lightly to disperse the tension in the room.

Zayn calmed down a little, but he couldn't help but keep eying the Normie King with the vigilante.

"It is a good thing that your Spirits were able to mend the hole in your soul. The best healers in the Normie Union were unable to help you out, and we were worried that you would never wake up.

Either way, if you're willing to join the Normie Union, we will gladly help you regain your former power. Though we might not be able to help you find and reclaim your Grimoire, I think we will be able to help you!" Normie King offered with a generous, yet, slightly silly smile on his lips.

"You want to help me without demanding anything in return? I don't believe it!" Zayn just said. It had been more than two years since his first encounter with the Normie King and many things changed.

"So, you want to know the demands of the Normie Union, in exchange for providing you protecting, a safe shelter and both a place to regain your strength and resources to accelerate the process?" Normie King asked to which Zayn could only nod his head.

"It is pretty simple, really. We just want you to fight for the sake of Normies. Just like Blessed, we wish to be part of mankind. However, that is impossible with the current society. Thus, we wish to create a territory where Normies are accepted and treated like the human beings they are. Help us with your power once you're powerful enough, and the Normie Union will provide you with everything you need!!"

No matter how Zayn looked at this offer, it was enticing.

Of course, it would be dangerous, but it was not as if he was trying to abandon the Normies.

He was curious about the lineage of Normies and he wished to find another Otherworldler.

Maybe, there were even Otherworldler, who knew who he was.

He wanted to find out more about himself.

"I agree!"
