Zayn never told Merlin that he was in control of Spirits. That was only obvious because he wanted to make sure that his teacher wouldn't get suspicious of him.

He didn't expect Merlin to understand everything if he were to find out about his Human Spirits. And, Zayn was in no mood to explain the details either way. Glutton and the Mocalw Bear Spirit were also hidden for the sake of safety. Only the Sparrow Spirits had been released the moment the hellish training started.

The Sparrow Spirits had spent the last four months on the rooftop of the dojo, absorbing soul particles. Being too weak and having trashy talent was advantageous for the first time because the Sparrow Spirits didn't attract any attention by absorbing a single soul particle every hour.

They were far away from Merlin, small in size, and somewhere nobody would expect any kind of being to stay for four months straight.

But now that Merlin left, Zayn released his remaining Spirits while telling the Sparrow Spirits to come down as well.

"In the next three weeks, focus on absorbing more soul particles," He ordered before glancing over to the Sparrow Spirits.

"As for you guys, we will create your first Soulrings, or rather a stable first soulframe with Soul Guidance!"

Since Merlin told him that he was supposed to leave three weeks after him to challenge the Colosseum, Zayn had come up with a plan to strengthen his Spirits in the meantime.

They were able to absorb soul particles on their own, and they would never tire out. That meant they could absorb soul particles for 24 hours a day, which was something that seemed impossible for Zayn. He was pretty sure that his head would feel like mush after spending a full day absorbing soul particles.

He had other mortal needs such as the need to drink, eat and sleep. Furthermore, Zayn was not supposed to slack off his training during the following three weeks. He would never be able to meditate and solely focus on absorbing soul particles like his Spirits was capable of!

He would rather focus on his training, using the newest experience of his fight against Merlin to test out a few more things, while helping the Sparrow Spirits to create a stable soulframe that could be filled with the soul particles they had amassed in their hearts already.

Three weeks passed in the blink of an eye, leaving only a little over five weeks for Zayn to kill the Chimera.

In the last three weeks, he had trained like a madman while spending four to five hours every single day using the Soul Guidance technique.

Because there were two Sparrow Spirits to guide in the creation process of their first soulring, everything took a little bit longer than initially expected.

But that was also fine because Zayn didn't expect too much from his proficiency in the Soul Guidance technique in the first place. The fragmented memories of his past self were a little help but they were abysmally shallow when compared to the memories he possessed about the Soul Extraction and Spirit Manifestation technique!

He had to learn more about the Soul Guidance technique on his own, spend some time testing out a few things, make mistakes, and learn from the mistakes in the long run.

Soul Guidance was a pretty interesting technique. Not only was it possible for Zayn to control other Souls to a certain degree as long as there was little to no resistance but it was also possible for a portion of his own soul and conscience to enter his Spirits where he could control everything as long as the Spirits allowed this.

Having unwavering trust and loyalty toward Zayn, they were bound to dutifully obey him. That way, it was actually not too difficult to create the soulframes of the Sparrow Spirits.

The only issue was that controlling his Spirits' bodies and their soul particles took quite a while. It was not as smooth as if he was doing that in his own body, but that was something he had expected. After ten days had passed, the first Sparrow Spirit had a completed and first stable soulframe. As for the second Sparrow Spirit, it took eight days to complete its first stable soulframe.

The Sparrow Spirits could fill their soulframes on their own, following a slow yet smooth procedure. Zayn demonstrated the Sparrow Spirits the smoothest and least dangerous way to fill their soulframes. There wouldn't be any trouble as long as they followed his demonstration.

In the last three days of the three weeks he had waited, Zayn watched the Sparrow Spirits and his other Spirits.

"Pretty good!" He mumbled to himself, feeling a tinge of excitement blossoming in his heart. He was not the one who progressed rapidly during the last three weeks but his Spirits had as well. This would inevitably increase his overall combat prowess.

Zayn was looking forward to the future, especially now that he was much stronger. Once he defeated the Chimera, he was bound to finish his second Soulring before an unknown, yet exciting future would await him.

However, instead of blindly approaching the unknown future that was likely to be filled with countless obstacles and dangerous encounters, Zayn decided to have a few plans and trump cards up his sleeve.

His Spirits were already a great trump card, and so was his Dragontale Twin Sabers' unique trait, combined with the Soulblade that he could easily manifest.

But he had to carefully select and think hard about the types of Spirits he wanted to obtain in the future as well. After all, his Spirits had to turn into an incredible fighting force that was able to progress alongside him.

Each of his Spirits was quite powerful now. Except for the Sparrow Spirits, each of them had a complete and filled first Soulring. The Sparrow Spirits would need one or two months to fill their soulframes and complete their first Soulrings as well, but that was not much of a problem.

They were also much stronger now that their stable soulframe had been completed. Unfortunately, the Sparrow Spirits seemed to have encountered their limit with one Soulring. Zayn noticed a few signs that hinted at the limit which they had reached with their extremely bad potential.

They had to absorb soul particles for close to 140 days to have as many soul particles as the Agile Human Spirit had absorbed in three weeks. Even Herculean, Glutton, and the Mocalw Bear Spirit could absorb that many soul particles in a little bit more than a month.

It looked like the soul particles his Spirits could absorb within a single hour were slowly increasing as well now that they were in possession of their first Soulring. However, the same phenomenon wouldn't happen to the Sparrow Spirits. Being able to absorb one soul particle in an hour was already their limit!

Zayn accepted this without thinking too much about it. It was obvious that the weakest and least talented Spirits would slowly but steadily lose their use to him. That was to be expected.

Rather than focusing on the Sparrow Spirits' limited talent, he was more interested in finding Spirits with average talent.

While Herculean could absorb 80 soul particles within 24 hours, Glutton could absorb 90 soul particles in a day. Meanwhile, the Mocalw Bear could only absorb 72 soul particles in the same time span.

That showed quite clearly that not every Spirit with average talent was the same!
