83 Elf Tribe, Abyss Servant
They arrived at the camp Mr. Railun built in the southwest of Netherwind Woodlands and descended onto the almost empty ground.
There were fifteen camps around the ground, wooden barricades, and a magic device in the center that was responsible for the blue barrier around the camp.
Erix was impressed with the barrier and hoped to get its technology or a similar device to take back to Earth.
Soon, Mr. Railun called everyone before he stood in front of the group of people and said, "You are free to search and investigate yourself, but if you find any leads or my kids, please be sure to report them to me with any big signal like using some flashy skill in the sky."
After saying that, he murmured something in the powerful blond-haired man's ears.
The blond-haired man nodded before he flew up and went north, which was deeper into Netherwind Woodlands.
The wind here was biting, and the trees were a mix of green, dark green, and dark purple colors.
On this vast land filled with nature, every single tree and plant also had a faint shiny crystal-like coating of the same color as the tree at uneven spots on them as if some sort of virus-infected them. 'Let's start.'
No one bothered with Erix, and Erix also didn't bother with anyone as he flew up one kilometer above and looked at the woodland from the sky. Triggering his Aura Gear, his eyes put on a layer of filter as he saw various auras of people and things.

While Erix was flying above the woodlands for his investigation to earn 10,000 gold coins, Rin entered an Elf Tribe after arriving in a lush green forest with giant trees with branches akin to small-sized roads.

The tribe lived in the forest near a lake, in a beautiful wooden structured town where people lived both on the ground and in legit treehouses, but big in size! Rin thought language would be an issue, but she was surprised to find that she could understand everything when they spoke, and they could also understand everything.
"Rin, how did you come here?" asked the elf girl, who was the first person Rin met when she appeared in the forest.
"I come from a far away place, Nessa" Rin smiled. "This is my first time here."
"Oh, first time? I understand," Nessa nodded while grinning as her short yellow-green-haired ponytail moved cutely. "My first time seeing a human."
"And my first time seeing an elf," Rin chuckled. "So, how do I get an Adventurer's ID?"
"You go to Adventurer's Guild for that, Rin. Come, I'll take you there."
As they were walking towards the Adventurer's Guild at the periphery of the town, the other elves in the town would greet Nessa and even give her food and other things.
'This girl, she is a bit different than other elves.'
After arriving at the Adventurer's Guild, Nessa said, "You go there and get your ID."
"Sure. Thank you, Nessa."
"No problem, hehe. Come to my house soon, okay?"
"Sure."
Rin didn't know why Nessa called her, but she decided to go there after finishing her business.
After entering the adventurer's Guild, she saw the elf staff lady with a busty figure.
'A human in his here?' the staff lady thought.
"I saw you coming here with Nessa. Where did you come from?"
Rin was slightly surprised to find a bit of hostility oozing out of the lady, but she answered calmly, "It's my first time in this place, and Nessa found me a couple of kilometers away."
The staff lady looked at Rin with a half-believe, half-suspicious expression, which was perfectly normal, and Rin didn't mind it.
"I want to get an adventurer's ID."
"First time or renew?"
"First time."
"It seems that you are otherworldly. Hi, I am Tourina," the elf lady's attitude changed as she smiled. "Put your palm on this."
Rin put her palm on it while Tourina continued speaking, "Nessa is a poor girl of this town. She is powerful and kind, but due to an accident, she lost her parents, little brother, and whoever killed her family also messed with her head to make her…."
"Sigh. I hope you don't take advantage of her kindness and unstable mind," Tourina didn't finish and just sighed, but Rin understood.
"I wouldn't do that to someone who helped me," Rin smiled.
'Nessa looked like she was in her early twenties, but her behavior and speech were different. Getting messed with her head after a tragedy… what happened to her?'

After taking her ID card, Rin went to Nessa's house on the outskirt of the town, in one of the smaller treehouses.
Each giant tree had big and wide branches, so building strong, magic-enhanced wooden houses was easy.
Rin few up and saw Nessa preparing some ingredients outside her treehouse on the branch.
"Rin! Did you get your adventurer's ID?"
"Yep," Rin smiled while nodding. "What are you doing?"
"I am going to make a pie of mixed fruits. Do you want to eat? If you want to, I'll make more."
"Alright, tell me what I need to do."
"Haha, then let's go and gather fruits. I also need a few more fruits, so we'll get more this time."
As such, Rin and Nessa left the town.
After traveling in the forest for ten minutes, they arrived at a valley between the mountains.
"Here, we can get lots of fruits in this valley."
'I guess I can complete the first task after I ask Nessa to let me live with her in her house,' Rin thought while following Nessa.
"Hmm? What's that?"
Rin suddenly paused as he saw a black pulsing round object under a tree. It had an ink-black surface with strange, uneven patterns and pulsed like a heartbeat.
"Woah, that looks strange," Nessa exclaimed and started walking towards it.
"Wait, don't go!" Rin shouted and stopped Nessa.
"Eh? Why? We have to take a look at it."
"Wait, come back to me," Rin said, her expression somber.
"Okie," Nessa nodded and returned upon seeing Rin's serious expression.
Rin squinted at the strange round object to inspect it and got its information.

A second later, the egg broke open with a scythe blade, and a humanoid creature emerged.
It had bug eyes, an insect beetle mouth, black scythes in place of normal hands, and a pair of slimy black wings behind its back.
Opening its creepy mouth, the Abyss Servant screamed.
"Urghh…" Nessa suddenly groaned in pain as she felt mental upheaval upon seeing the Abyss Servant and fell with a thud.
"So, you're the one I need to hunt," Rin's face showed a sharp smile as she took out her Blade Eater and transformed it into the straight one-edged sword of Ruined Blaze Sword.
*Crack…Boom!*
Lightning Empowerment! This was the evolved, 2nd Tier version of the Lightning Charge skill. Previously, it charged things with lightning and gave lightning attributes for bonus lightning damage.
And after it was evolved, Lightning Empowerment could even empower her overall lightning damage, the higher chance of paralyzing the target and dealing shock damage. Seeing that it wasn't attacking, Rin took the initiative and used Lightning Dash, the evolved version of Thunder Blitz. With a resounding thunder crack, Rin crossed the distance of fifteen meters in a second with her blade swinging at the Abyss Servant's neck like a reaper.
The moment her blade touched the creature's neck, tiny thin golden threads produced from her blade. It was none other than an evolved version of Sword Beam, Sword Threads! Each thread pierced into the creature's body when Rin's blade touched its neck and beheaded it.

Abyss Servant's head flew while her sword threads pierced out of its body in black blood like a blooming flower.
Since every skill's evolved, next tier form depended on individuals, even if two people have the same 1st Tier skills, they would become different when they evolved to 2nd Tier. Rin used her Sword Beam in different ways than what just the skill described, which was why her Sword Beam's evolved form turned out to be Sword Threads, a more deadly and powerful form of the Sword Beam.
Each thread pierced into the creature's body when Rin's blade touched its neck and beheaded it.
Abyss Servant's head flew while her sword threads pierced out of its body in black blood like a blooming flower.
But unknown to her, the creature's Scythe hand moved silently yet quickly pierced Rin's stomach and came out of her back.

Rin's eyes widened, and she immediately kicked the headless Abyss Servant while moving back several meters away.

After puking blood, Rin heard a notification. [You are inflicted with Abyss Poison for one minute, causing your senses to lose 50% of their capabilities until the poison disperses.]
