Their flying adventure in this beautiful world stopped at a town after rapidly flying through vast distances with time flowing quickly.
They couldn't control their body and could only absorb what was experienced by their consciousness and subconsciousness.
Then, they experienced life. They experienced joy together, of theirs, of others.
They traveled together and met people. Not just humans but the various races that they had only believed existed in fantasy literature.
They met elves. They met vampires. They met dwarves. They met demons.
They fought, they laughed, they cried together as the time flow continued fast. Years flew by.
And then, they experienced the start of a downfall. The world they believed to be a paradise gradually transformed into a living hell.
The people they met and traveled with died. The people they laughed with got killed.
All because of and by one entity. A faceless shadow that seemed to have only one goal.
To make their lives as miserable as possible.
As such, their seemingly beautiful lives turned hellish. They fought back, failed, and ran.
Wherever they went, death followed them for years upon years.
In the end, the shadow stood before them with a wide grin reaching its narrowed eyes, looking as malevolent as possible.
They could no longer run.
Erix, Rin, and Isabella felt despair, for this was no longer a dream. It was a bonafide reality for them.
And that reality ended with the shadow cutting their heads off with a wave of its hands that turned into a reaper's scythe.
Darkness overtook them, but it also quickly vanished as their eyes opened, and the moonlight of a familiar moon shone on them.
However, none knew that all three had actually experienced different lives in three parallel dreams.
Rin's life with Erix and Isabella was different, Isabella's life with Erix and Rin was different, and Erix's life with Rin and Isabella was also different.
Only one thing was the same, and it was the end where the faceless shadow killed them.

"Are you okay?" Erix asked as he caressed her back.
"Everything is fine now, Isabella-sis," Rin said, slightly concerned.
"I know," Isabella lightly said, a smile of gladness on her face.

She separated from the hug and took a deep breath, her faint smiley expression serene and peaceful. "So, what's the plan now?" she asked.
"We don't know the purpose of what we just experienced, but it was surely not a hidden task from the look of things," Erix mused.
"What's this? Hey, look at our status. We got something new!" Rin exclaimed in surprise.

"You can freely use your skills and powers here without worrying about mana or exhaustion and let your imagination run wild to improve yourself."
"Whatever you learn here will stay with you, so feel free to spend one hour daily here. You can also invite others with the same spiritual art to practice together."
