Chapter 628: There’s No Need To Bicker With Someone Like You!

“Hmph! Where did this little girl come from? How dare she sneak into Zhen Guogong’s mansion and boast like that?”

A cold voice rang out.

“Huh?” Lou Qianxue’s and Lou Xiaoxiao’s expressions changed at once. They spun around and looked at the speaker.

An elderly man in grey robes was standing a short distance away from them. Beside him was a chubby man who looked extremely servile.

Seeing them, Lou Qianxue and Lou Xiaoxiao frowned.

A strange gleam also appeared in An Shaoning’s eyes. However, he continued smiling warmly. As he observed the old man, he spoke in a gentle but firm voice, “You must be a guest of Zhen Guogong, right? Isn’t it too rude to speak to another guest of Zhen Guogong like that?”

“Hmph! You brat! Who do you think you are? How dare you speak to me like this?” The old man’s gaze instantly turned malicious.

“You! An Shaoning! It’s you!” The fat man standing beside the old man also recognized them. He pointed at An Shaoning with a face full of resentment. “How dare you come to Zhen Guogong’s mansion again? And how dare you talk to Master Feng like this? What made you so bold?”

“You’re acting all high and mighty, fatty...” Lou Qianxue sneered. She stared at him, coldly and teasingly. “I think you’re called... Li Cong, right? Why are you here again? Didn’t Second Young Master teach you a lesson last time? Don’t tell me you want to get beaten up again?”

“Witch... Witch!” The fatty’s face turned pale. He fearfully stared at Lou Qianxue and could no longer dare to speak anymore.

The old man frowned and looked at the fatty. “Young Master Li, are these ignorant youngsters really guests of Zhen Guogong’s mansion?”

“Master Feng!” The fatty angrily pointed at Lou Qianxue. “That witch is Lou Qianxue, the one who bewitched my uncle and cousin. She somehow managed to cure my uncle!”

When Dan Taiyuan heard this, his aura suddenly turned frosty. He ruthlessly glared at the fatty as if he were looking at a corpse.

Lou Qianxue could sense his murderous aura. Hence, she hurriedly grabbed Dan Taiyuan’s hand. “Don’t dirty your hand!”

“It’s you!” The old man was stunned for a moment. He then returned to his senses. His gaze turned unfriendly as he looked at Lou Qianxue with contempt. “How powerful can an inexperienced little brat be in alchemy? Young Master Li must be telling the truth. You must’ve coincidentally cured Master Zhen Guogong or gotten lucky because your elders taught you.”

“How I cured Zhen Guogong is none of your business,” Lou Qianxue sneered. “We are not familiar with you, so you don’t have to pretend to know us well and boss us around.”

“You!” The old man became so angry that his beard trembled and his face turned red. “At such a young age, you barely know anything about alchemy, yet you’re so arrogant and audacious! I’m a fourth-grade alchemist, so why should I bicker with someone like you?”

After he finished speaking, he angrily sat at the side. He even deliberately chose a seat far away from Lou Qianxue and the rest.

The fatty glared at Lou Qianxue and the rest in fear and disgust. He sat down beside the old man and flattered him. “Master Feng, no matter what, you’re the only fourth-grade alchemist in Tian Zhao now. No one here can compare to you, let alone that witch!”

The old man snorted. He gave Lou Qianxue and the rest a smug look.

“...” Lou Xiaoxiao frowned. She looked displeased. “Qianxue, why is that fatty here?”

This annoying fatty was the person who had opposed them in Baicao Garden a month ago.

Lou Qianxue whispered to Lou Xiaoxiao what had happened when she cured Zhen Guogong.

Lou Xiaoxiao smiled when she heard all that. “Second Young Master’s personality is really to my liking. I hope that he will give this fatty another beating today.”

As she spoke, she felt someone grab her hand.

Lou Xiaoxiao was stunned. She turned her head and met An Shaoning’s gentle gaze.

Her cheeks turned slightly red. “Well, actually, he’s not really to my liking... I was just making a casual comment.”

A gentle smile played on An Shaoning’s lips.
