Chapter 1389: The alarm has been set

She did have talent, but she wouldn’t be able to play after hearing it once. She couldn’t be a genius either.

After a pause, Ji Fengmian narrowed his eyes at Shen Fanxing. “Shen Fanxing, could it be that you…”

Shen Fanxing’s heart skipped a beat. “I just find this song fresh and fresh. The first time has left a deep impression on me. Am I not smart enough? What are you trying to say?”

Ji Fengmian’s face darkened and he said coldly, “I’ve heard of a human brain CPU experiment before. It probably says that a person’s memory capacity is limited. It’s said that if you want to remember something more important, you have to forcefully remove a portion of your previous memories… That’s simply crazy. How can you forcefully remove your memories after your brain has been stimulated? Will there be any danger during the process? Even if there are any sequelae after success, can these so-called scientists guarantee that?”

Shen Fanxing tightened her grip on the score. “You’re thinking too much. What has that got to do with us?”

Ji Fengmian was silent for a moment. After some thought, he seemed to agree. He glanced at the score in Shen Fanxing’s hand and said,

“Go to the study room and find a clamp to pick it up. Don’t lose it on the way back. I only have this one. If I have to think based on my memory, my head will hurt.”

This tune was her childhood memory. For many years, her memories of this tune were blank.

It wasn’t easy for her to retrieve the song from her memory. If she were to do it again, she would definitely have a headache.

Shen Fanxing nodded and took the score to the study.

There didn’t seem to be any empty folders on the desk. Shen Fanxing opened the file cabinet and rummaged through it, only to find any empty folders.

Looking at the bookshelf, Shen Fanxing couldn’t help but shake her head at the neat rows of documents, finance and management books.

No one in the world could compare to her mother.

Just looking at them made her head spin.

After closing the door, Shen Fanxing walked to her desk and rummaged through it. Finally, she found an empty folder.

However, just as she picked up the empty folder and was about to close the drawer, she realized that there was an A4 paper under the folder. It was obvious that something was drawn on it.

Curious, she picked up the paper and studied it.

“Yes?”

As if she had discovered something, she narrowed her eyes and brought the paper closer.

There were two circles drawn on the paper.

It looked like a bracelet or an anklet. Because it was only on paper, it was impossible to determine what it was. The exterior seemed to be inlaid with many gorgeous and expensive jewelry.

However, that was not the main point. The main point was that the patterns drawn on the inner sides of the rings looked familiar.

The Queen…

The letters were fancy and Shen Fanxing was familiar with the lines and style.

Two…

A pair…

Shen Fanxing raised an eyebrow and silently placed the piece of paper back into the drawer.

Perhaps, her mother was designing a gift for the two unborn children.

If that was the case, she might as well look forward to seeing the finished product.

The thought of the two little ones receiving such a gorgeous gift from her grandmother made her feel a little excited.

After putting the score into the folder, she left the study. Ji Fengmian was downstairs. When he saw her coming down, his expression was indescribable.

Ever since Shen Fanxing saw her today, she felt that something was amiss. However, no one could pry open Ji Fengmian’s mouth.

“You found it?”

“Yes.” Shen Fanxing waved the clip in her hand.

Ji Fengmian stared at the folder in her hand for a long time before nodding lightly.

“Go back and practice well. It’s not very difficult. You should be able to master it after practicing a few times.”

“I know,” replied Shen Fanxing. She chatted with Ji Fengmian for a while before leaving. However, when she reached the door, she stopped and turned back.

“Mom, what’s the meaning of this song?”

Ji Fengmian didn’t expect Shen Fanxing to ask this question directly. He didn’t respond.

Uncle Chu, who had just returned from watering the plants, explained,

“The prelude to this song was randomly played by Missy at the piano when she was young. Later on, your grandmother improved it slightly and composed a complete song. It means a lot to Missy.”

Shen Fanxing’s eyes flashed. Grandma…

It was almost a foreign word to her.

Ever since she was young, she had never heard anything about her grandmother from her mother.

Even Uncle Chu had never mentioned it.

Until now…

This seemed to be the first time she had heard of it.

“Missy, Missy must be doing this for your own good. Please play it at the state banquet.”

Shen Fanxing couldn’t figure out why the song meant so much to her mother that she had to play it at the state banquet.

She just wanted her song to appear at the state banquet to satisfy that sense of accomplishment. She felt that her mother wouldn’t like such a meaningless thing.

However, Ji Fengmian didn’t say anything. Shen Fanxing didn’t probe further.

Anyway, she had already decided on this song, and it was not bad.

That would be enough.

Other than the Chu residence, she called Bo Jinchuan and the man asked her to return to the apartment.

After asking about the old man’s condition, she heard that he was fine and did not insist on going to the hospital.

Just as she was about to get into the car and leave, Chu Yi’s car slowly stopped in front of her.

Chu Yi got out of the car and closed the door. He looked at Shen Fanxing and said,

“You’re still restless with something in your stomach?”

Shen Fanxing glanced at him and asked, “Shouldn’t you be on set tomorrow?”

Chu Yi pursed his lips unhappily. “Can’t you say something else when you meet?”

She kept talking about work. How annoying.

“Otherwise, why would you talk to me about parenting?”

The corners of Chu Yi’s lips twitched. “Go home and chat with Bo Jinchuan. I don’t have that obligation.”

“How rude. Remember to call him brother-in-law in the future.”

Chu Yi’s fingers twitched unconsciously in the pocket of his windbreaker. He suddenly felt an itch in his hands.

“Please scram.” The word was squeezed out from between Chu Yi’s teeth.

Shen Fanxing raised an eyebrow and didn’t argue with him. She walked to the car and got in.

She turned the car around skillfully and stopped beside Chu Yi.

“Wake up at 7:30 tomorrow. I’ve already set the alarm for you.”
