Chapter 792 The Invincible Platinum Star!
Thor roared, and the battle commenced immediately. Tony flew into the air and immediately blasted Thanos with his Repulsors Beam, while Thor rushed at Thanos and tried to cut his head off again with his Stormbreaker.
Meanwhile, Steve also tried to distract Thanos by reflecting Tony’s missed attacks back at Thanos with his shield. Steve also dodged Thanos’s twin blade attack as he knew that it was bad news. Even Thor’s Stormbreaker failed to leave any dent on Thanos’ twin blade!
They all put their hopes on Dio as they knew that Dio would do something to win this fight! Furthermore, they hadn’t seen any better weapon than Dio’s scythe! Dio positioned himself behind Thor, and as Thor smashed Mjolnir to the ground to shock Thanos with his lightning, Dio immediately jumped and slashed at Thanos with all his might.
But Thanos surely had his own share of combat experiences, too, as he positioned his twin blade, blocking Dio’s scythe blade! Thanos’ hand-to-hand combat is in the realm of a master, so even though he seemed to be defenseless, that wasn’t the case at all!
Tony kept blasting Thanos with his repulsor beam while Steve slammed his shield towards Thanos’s face relentlessly. Even though Dio failed to slash Thanos’ head with his scythe, everyone else found an opening in Thanos’ defense.
Thor also hit Thanos’ knee with his Mjolnir, causing Thanos to lose his balance and fell to the ground! Thanos was surrounded by so many heroes, and it proved to be too much for even Thanos himself! But it just angered Thanos even more!
“Get out of my face!” Thanos said as he swung his twin blade wildly, forcing everyone to take a few steps back.
Tony landed beside Thor and activated the Lightning Refocuser on his back that looked like 6 small lighting rods protruding from his back. “Thor, hit me!” Tony said confidently. Thor just nodded and immediately conjured a lighting blast towards Tony.
Although they didn’t say much, Thor already knew what Tony wanted. Tony’s Lightning Refocuser absorbed Thor’s thunder, powering Tony’s Iron Man’s suit before Tony used it to blast Thanos with a strong laser!
But Thanos didn’t wait to get attacked himself! During Tony and Thor’s cooperation, Thanos himself rushed toward Tony to stop him from doing as he pleased. So, when Tony blasted him with his lasers, Thanos immediately blocked Tony’s attack by spinning the twin blade like a rotating shield to minimise the damage as he made his way toward Tony.
Thanos got close enough to Tony and broke Tony’s Lightning Refocuser before gripping Tony’s head in his hands. He raised Tony to the air and blocked Thor’s Mjolnir with Tony’s body before throwing him aside.
Steve tried to attack Thanos to the best of his ability, but it just annoyed Thanos! Steve’s attack didn’t work as it didn’t do any damage to Thanos at all. So, Thanos swung his twin blade towards Steve’s shield, cracking Steve’s infamous shield easily.
Steve lay on the ground as he received a huge impact from Thanos’ attack, and he couldn’t stand back up immediately. Thor noticed it and rushed with his Stormbreaker to end Thanos’ life, but Thanos parried Thor’s attack and threw his Stormbreaker away before punching Thor’s face relentlessly.
Dio jumped onto Thanos’ back and strangled Thanos’ neck from behind. Although Dio wasn’t the best when it came to raw power among the Avengers, it still made Thanos reel a little bit, and he was forced to leave Thor on the ground.
At the same time, Dio activated his Temporary Stand Card and summoned it along with [The World] to attack Thanos at the same time!
It was none other than [Star Platinum]! Along with [The World], the best Stand in his arsenal that could deal destructive damage towards Thanos at close-quarter combat like this!
“OraOraOraOra!” [Star Platinum] and [The World] attacked Thanos with their consecutive punches, draining Dio’s Hamon Energy rapidly. The attack was too fast for Thanos to respond, and he was slammed to the ground in a matter of seconds. Dio himself didn’t know how many punches Thanos received during that period as he himself couldn’t see how fast [Star Platinum] and [The World] threw their fist.
Thanos was reduced into a sandbag as there was no way for him to do anything against this attack! Nobody knew how severely Thanos was injured. Even Dio himself was exhausted by the whole ordeal. Dio received small injuries here and there because his Hamon Defense couldn’t handle Thanos’ attack earlier.
But nevertheless, Dio felt like Thanos would reach his limit soon.
After a while, [Star Platinum] and [The world] attack began to slow down, and Thanos saw it as an opportunity to fight back! Thanos used his whole strength and slammed the back of his head towards Dio’s head. Although Dio summoned [White Album] to serve as a defense, it was broken in an instant by Thanos’ attack.
Because of this, Dio was knocked out as he couldn’t withstand the impact of Thanos’ attack.
Thanos’s strength was still higher than the angry Hulk, and Thanos was even stronger than Carol Denver in terms of raw strength! This was why Dio couldn’t compare his endurance and power with Thanos at all!
Thanos, who has been freed from Dio’s clutches, immediately wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and picked up his twin blade before rushing out of the battlefield, avoiding [Star Platinum] and [The World]!
