Chapter 788 Who will snap this finger
Everyone didn’t like what Dio had done, but now that everything had been done, there was nothing they could do anymore. It ended up working in their favour, so they couldn’t complain about it.
Everyone then went to their respective room to rest as they all ought to calm down. But they didn’t know that a sinister gaze was watching them all the time.

Three days passed, and the development of Infinity Gloves V2 was going rocky as Tony and Shuri couldn’t find a compatible material that could withstand the energy from the Infinity Stones. Tony had to combine his Nanotechnology with the latest alloy he developed just to make a prototype. But there were still so many things that he had to take into account before he could actually use the Infinity Stones together with the Infinity Gloves!
The main problem that remained was how to utilise the Infinity Stones’ power without dying from the backlash energy from the Infinity Stones itself! So, Tony, Shuri, and Banner did whatever they could to perfect the Infinity Gloves so that it wouldn’t harm anybody else later.
They wanted to do the best they could, but as they only had a short amount of time, it was probably unlikely that they would find the answer.
Meanwhile, Nebula was still free to roam all around the base without anyone seeming to question her intention at all. It was not that they let their guard down, but the thought that Nebula was an enemy just never crossed their mind.
In addition to the fact that everyone knew too little about Nebula, nobody really chatted with her. The only one who had been in contact with her was Rocket, but then again, Rocket was helping the scientific team develop the Infinity Gloves V2, too, so he didn’t really notice her abnormality.

Finally, the Infinity Gloves V2 was done! The appearance was much different from the initial version and was more like the Iron Man’s arm than anything else. The knuckles have dentures where the Infinity Stones would be placed. Nevertheless, they still couldn’t completely suppress the backlash energy.
“The glove is ready, but the question right now would be who is going to snap with that thing?” Rocket said as he raised his goggles.
“I will do it!” Thor said as he volunteered himself.
“No, you won’t!” Almost everyone stopped Thor from taking the glove. They clearly couldn’t believe Thor would be able to do it.
“Don’t worry, Thor! We are deciding this after hearing everyone first.” Scott said assuringly.
“Why should we wait any longer? We can just do it right now!” Thor said annoyedly.
“Yes, but it would be better to discuss it with everyone,” Steve said solemnly.
“Sitting here all day won’t save everyone! I am the strongest Avengers, so the responsibility of using that Infinity Gloves should fall on me!” Thor said annoyedly.
“The strongest? Are you sure about it?” Thor was interrupted by a voice from behind. He looked behind and noticed Dio was standing at the door.
“You aren’t an Avengers! So basically, I am the strongest Avengers!” Thor said annoyedly. Dio froze for a moment as he realised that Thor had a point, but he couldn’t stop laughing.
“Let me do it! Let me do something right for a change! Please!” Thor said to Steve pleadingly as he thought that he could right his wrong action in the past.
“I understand your plea, but I don’t think you are in good shape to use this Infinity Glove!” Tony said as he stood in front of Thor calmly.
“What do you mean ‘not in good shape?’” Thor said frustratedly.
“He means that cheese and alcohol flow inside your blood!” Dio said coldly.
“No, it’s thunder! I am the God of Thunder, for Odin’s sake!” Thor said frustratedly.
“I am done! Just let me do the snap! I am the best man here, and as long as the backlash energy isn’t instantaneous, I will be fine!” Dio said as he sighed.
“Are you sure, Dio? You don’t have to force yourself!” Natasha asked worriedly.
“Hey, I am still the strongest person in the world, right?” Dio said with a big smile on his face.
Everyone looked at each other as they knew that it was the truth. They also knew that Dio wouldn’t do it if he wasn’t sure that he’d succeed, so they just had to believe in Dio for now! They know that Dio would never do something that threatened his own safety!
Dio then took the Infinity Glove from Tony and was about to put it in his hands when a big green hand stopped him from doing so. “I think I would be the best man for this. The energy that the Infinity Stones releases is similar to Gamma Energy, and I’m basically created in Gamma!” Banner said with a smile on his face.
“Are you sure you can do it?” Dio asked calmly. The reason why he volunteered was that he was confident that he could take on the energy backlash. He had already used the Power Stone for a long time, and he thought that it would be no different!
As long as the energy didn’t tear his body in an instant, he could renew his life force through Reality Overwrite. Although it was still risky, it was totally under control.
“I am sure of it. No one knows better about the Gamma Energy than I do. This is like the meaning of my entire existence!” Banner said confidently. The others were silent as they were convinced by Banner’s word. If what Banner said was the truth, then he was indeed the best person for the job!
But when everyone looked over at Banner, one person slipped out of the room!
