Chapter 782 1 American team died
“You want me to let her go? Alright, I will do as you say!” Scott casually said as he let his hand go, and Lucy fell as a result. In any normal circumstance, Luci would be reaching out for Scott’s hand while screaming and yelling in horror, but Luci didn’t do any of this as she just fell obediently from Scott’s hand.
If the situation wasn’t too tense, Steve and the others would immediately realise something was wrong! But for now, Scott and Luci’s poor performance successfully tricked Steve and the others!
Thor immediately lifted his hammer and flew to save Luci from falling to the ground. Meanwhile, Scott immediately made a move to catch Barton and Steve! The original plan was for Luci to capture the Avengers, but Scott improvised and used Luci to bait Thor instead!
Steve and Barton realised that they had nowhere to run as Thor had already left, and thus Barton immediately took out his special arrow and began firing at Scott continuously. But an explosion of that level didn’t really do anything to the gigantic Scott. It was like being struck with a toothpick if he had to compare the sensation.
Steve also gritted his teeth and threw his shield towards Scott, but it didn’t really do anything. But suddenly, Scott was caught off-balance and fell to the side!
It was the Hulk! He leaped through the air and punched Scott’s waist! The Hulk’s power was enough to smash even the enlarged Ant-Man to the ground! Because of this, Scott failed to capture Steve and Barton!
Fortunately, he didn’t crush any innocent bystanders as the area was already evacuated. Scott immediately balanced himself again and tried to stand up once more, but the Hulk jumped on his face and punched him straight on the cheek!
This time, Scott could feel the ridiculous strength of the Hulk and stopped moving from the pain he felt on his face.
At the same time, Thor successfully rescued Luci from falling to the ground.
“Take her out of here! I will help the Hulk!” Thor said as he dropped Luci beside Steve and Barton before flying towards Scott to help Hulk.
Scott was about to cry as Thor and Hulk pummeled him. His giant body didn’t do him any good as Thor and Hulk didn’t really care about it. But after he realised that Luci was beside Steve and Barton, Scott immediately saved himself and turned himself to ant size!
But even so, Thor and Hulk were still chasing after him as they could still feel his presence.
“Wait, wait, wait!” Scott said as he returned to human size and stopped Thor from hammering him down.
“Remove your mask, villain! Show us know your identity! Otherwise, my friend here wouldn’t be waiting to beat you down!” Thor said charmingly. Hulk, too, voiced his own opinion as he roared loudly toward Scott.
“Okay, alright! You win!” Scott said apprehensively, but he turned small once again and hid the next second! Scott was so sure that Thor and Hulk wouldn’t be able to find him this time as he thought that he had already hidden himself perfectly.
Thor was annoyed and lifted his hammer to the air and summoned thunder before slamming it to the ground to shock the Ant-Man. But before he could pull off his move, a huge noise came from behind, and the Butterfly Goddess appeared once more!
Thor saw the beautiful face of the goddess, and he somehow felt that its face was somehow familiar! Thor immediately realised that he had already fallen into the enemy’s trap! The woman that he saved earlier was the Butterfly Goddess herself!
Luci already knew where everyone was, and she already understood that the present Avengers wouldn’t pose a threat to her. And so, she flew, emitting her brilliant light in her wake.
“Steve, Barton!” Thor shouted as he flew towards Steve and Barton, where he left the woman earlier. He completely ignored the hiding Ant Man as he had another important matter at hand.
Luci condensed her light and turned them into needles before hurling them in all directions. Of course, she already lowered the power output before attacking as she didn’t have any intent to actually injure the Avengers. Nevertheless, it was still a huge attack for the preset Avengers.
Thor and Hulk were desperate to avoid the light needle! They didn’t know what the light needle would do if it hit them, and they certainly didn’t want to find out either.
At this time, Scott slipped away to safety as his job was done.
“Die!” Luci said without any emotion on her face as her light needle pierced Steve’s head. Steve’s eyes widened, but he was frozen as he couldn’t say anything.
“Steve! No!” Thor shouted as he looked at Steve in horror. He immediately gritted his teeth and rushed toward Luci desperately as he thought that Steve had died. But he couldn’t attack Luci as her speed was too fast for Thor.
Meanwhile, the Hulk was still trying to get away from the light needle as he jumped around awkwardly.
Luci didn’t feel any danger at all as she could easily defend against any attack that Thor and Hulk might throw at her.
“Take one more step forward, and this person would die!” Luci said without any expression as she condensed a light needle on her hand and aimed it at Barton’s head.
Thor immediately stopped as he couldn’t risk losing Barton, too. But then he realised that the Hulk was jumping towards the butterfly goddess, completely ignoring her threat earlier. Thor immediately threw his hammer toward the Hulk to get Hulk away from the goddess.
“Let them go, or I swear in the name of my father that I will kill you myself!
Thor said as he called out his hammer again and lifted it high in the sky. The world immediately changed color as the wind surged, covering the bright sky with thunder clouds!
