Chapter 773 The Letter That Was Expected

Emily had the Soul Stone in her hand, but she looked extremely lost now as she really had nothing left! Fortunately, she didn’t collapse on the spot as she clung tight to Wade’s last word! She had to witness everything for herself and make sure that her husband’s sacrifice came to fruition.

If her husband’s sacrifice was for naught, then she didn’t have anything left to survive in this world.

Dio sighed as he didn’t know how to comfort Emily, nevertheless, the Soul Stone was already secured.

…………………..

New York, 2012.

On the rooftop of Supreme Sanctuary, the Ancient One stood while observing the Chitauri Army without doing anything. She only killed the Chitauri Army who came close to the Supreme Sanctuary, but that was it!

But the Hulk suddenly appeared and walked toward the Ancient One.

“Be careful there, the floor has been waxed.” The Ancient One said playfully.

The Hulk looked uncomfortable for a moment and walked towards the Ancient One carefully. “I am looking for Dr. Strange!” The Hulk said slowly.

“You are 5 years too early! Now, Stephen Strange is undergoing surgery twenty blocks away from here, so what do you want him to do at this moment?” The Ancient One said casually. Stephen Strange was the next Sorcerer Supreme that the Ancient One appointed at the end of her life, so she was still the Sorcerer Supreme of the Earth at this moment.

The Hulk seemed lost for a moment before he noticed the Eye of Agamotto on the Ancient One’s neck. “I come for that thing.” The Hulk said as he pointed towards the Eye of Agamotto.

“Ah! I see, but I am afraid I can’t hand it over to you.” The Ancient One said as she glanced at the Eye of Agamotto on her neck.

“I am sorry, but please work with me here! May I discuss our plan to you?” The Hulk said as he walked towards the Ancient One. Obviously, as Hulk had integrated itself with Banner, now he had a brain to work things out, but it could be said oppositely! The meek Banner now had the strength of the Hulk!

“You will regret it if you come any closer.” The Ancient One gave a simple warning, but the Hulk kept walking.

“You are right, I might regret this later, but I need that Time Stone and I have no time to waste here!” The Hulk said desperately.

But as he walked closer, the Ancient One moved in a flash and struck the Hulk’s chest, separating the Hulk’s soul, which was Bruce Banner itself!

Banner floated in the air, watching his Hulk body fell to the ground! Banner was clearly stunned as this was the first time something like this happened to him.

“Let’s start over from the beginning, shall we?” The Ancient One said as she smiled at Banner’s spirit. Banner sighed and immediately told the Avenger’s plan in details from the beginning to end.

But the Ancient One didn’t seem to be interested in the plan that the Hulk explained. Not that she didn’t believe in time travel. In fact, she believed that what Banner said was the truth, but no matter what reason Banner had, guarding the Time Stone was her responsibility and she couldn’t hand it over no matter the reason.

So, the Ancient One turned around and walked away. Banner immediately followed her from behind and begged her to listen to him.

“Sorry Bruce, I can’t help you!” The Ancient One said reluctantly. “If I give you the Time Stone to save your reality, then our world would be in great danger!” The Ancient One said honestly.

“Wait, but our research doesn’t say so!” Banner shouted as he tried to keep the Ancient One from walking away.

The Ancient One sighed and immediately created the Infinity Stones image in the air to explain what she knew to Banner. “Infinity Stones create the flow of time of our world. If an Infinity Stones is missing, it means the time is diverging, which may be helpful to your reality, but it would be bad for us right here as it means we lose one of our best way to fight against the dark forces.” The Ancient One explained. “So, tell me Doctor, can your scientific theory prevent this from happening?” The Ancient One asked challengingly.

“Yes, that is what I am saying! We can eliminate that possibility by returning the Infinity Stones right when we take them! So, from the perspective of time and space, the Infinity Stones that we’re about to take in this time is never taken in the first place!” Banner explained.

The Ancient One was a little shaken by Banner’s explanation, if it were the truth, then everything would be resolved without any issue.

“But you miss the most important question! If you wants to return them, you have to survive first! Are you confident that you can use all 6 of the Infinity Stones?” The Ancient One asked curiously.

“Of course! We will definitely survive and return the Infinity Stones right where it belongs! I promise!” Banner said confidently.

“I can’t take such a risk without any guarantee! The Sorcerer Supreme’s duty is to guard the Time Stone after all!” the Ancient One said firmly.

Banner was at loss for words. He couldn’t seem to convince the Ancient One to relinquish her Time Stone to him, but he suddenly thought of the note that Dio had given him before. The front of the note read, ‘If the plan doesn’t go well, show this to the other party!’ Banner began to think that Dio somehow had already expected things to become like this.

“Wait, someone asked me to give you an envelope! Take it, it is in my trouser pocket!” Banner said solemnly. The Ancient One nodded and immediately used her power to take the envelope in Banner’s pocket out. She then read the note inside and suddenly showed a surprised expression.

The content of the note was the thing that she wasn’t even aware of, but she knew the man who wrote this letter! It was the man that she has been following, just like Stephen Strange!
