Chapter 768 I will do the bad guys!
Everyone was shocked speechless as they heard what Dio had said, especially Nebula as she started to tremble from anger. She knew that Thanos has killed Gamora, but she didn’t know that Gamora was sacrificed so that Thanos could get his hand on the Soul Stone!
“Impossible! There is no way that tyrant can comprehend what love is! There is no way he can ever love Gamora, I don’t believe it!” Nebula shouted angrily. Everyone started to wonder themselves as they began to think about the possibility that Thanos might love his daughter deeply, but still killed her for his goal.
Dio sighed as he couldn’t believe it himself, but the Tyrant really loved his daughter. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to obtain the Soul Stone.
“No matter how unbelievable it was, it was the truth! I can guarantee what I said just now, and thus I believed that he loved you too!” Dio said to Nebula with a sad look on his eyes.
“Are you insulting me?” Nebula said irritatedly. She was angered by Dio’s word because in her opinion, the Tyrant never showed any kind of love towards her or Gamora! The possibility of that thought itself was impossible from the very beginning!
Dio just looked at her calmly while the others tried to calm Nebula down. He wasn’t worried at all as what he just told everyone was the truth!
After a few minutes, Nebula finally calmed down and sat alone, distancing herself from Dio. She couldn’t even convince herself that the ‘Father figure’ who already tried to kill her several times had actually loved her! She didn’t know about Gamora, but she knew that Gamora harbored a deep hatred towards the Tyrant too!
Nebula was extremely confused as it didn’t make any sense to her!
The others were relieved as they saw that Nebula finally calmed down, but they know that they still had to solve the Soul Stone problem. If what Dio had said was true, then getting the Soul Stone would be extremely difficult!
“Is there any other way?” Natasha asked as she bit her lips frustratedly.
“This is the only way, but the conditions of love itself came from many kinds, it could be familial love, true love, or even friendship love. With that said, I suggest that we divide a tube of Pym Particles to two irrelevant people and let them sacrifice each other!” Dio said as he proposed a solution.
He knew that this solution he proposed was selfish and cruel, but in his opinion, it was better to sacrifice someone unimportant than losing manpower for future problems.
“I disagree with your idea! If we do something like that, then we are no difference than Thanos!” Steve said as he stood up angrily from his seat. Although the others didn’t speak up their mind, it was obvious that they also agreed with Steve’s word.
There was no way they could live with the thought that they had to sacrifice an innocent life!
Dio smiled. Even though he sounded like the bad guy, he wasn’t angered at all.
“Hey, what if we take the Soul Stone right after Thanos got it? We just snatch it from him and return here at once! We may have a chance if he only has that one stone!” Scott suddenly said as he gave his own idea. But everyone immediately looked at him like he was a clown!
“Are you serious! Let’s just say that we are okay with letting Gamora die once again, are you sure that we can defeat Thanos at that time? Not to mention the Infinity Stones, what makes you think Thanos will only have one stone with him? This the worst plan ever!” Rhodey said as he was annoyed by Scott’s idea.
“Even the Grandmaster has already initiated his plan to get the Soul Stone at that time! I don’t know how he sealed half of his soul inside the Soul Stone, but we have to make sure that he doesn’t even have the opportunity to do so!” Dio added.
In summary, they must retrieve the Soul Stone in Vormir before it was found by anyone! But they still didn’t have any solution for that!
“I will go! Maybe it wasn’t as bad as we imagined!” Natasha suddenly stood up and stepped forward to volunteer for the Vormir mission. Everyone immediately understood what she meant by that! They understood that Natasha would sacrifice herself when the time came!
“No, there must be other way to get the Soul Stone without sacrificing anyone!” Steve said as he straight out refused Natasha’s idea.
“This is probably the best possible way! I will go with Natasha!” Barton said after a long silence. But did he really want to sacrifice Natasha?
Natasha knew him real well! She knew that he would stop her from sacrificing herself and sacrifice himself instead! But she knew that someone must do this, and thus she didn’t stop Barton from doing so. That was because she had confidence that she wouldn’t be able to survive!
Everyone immediately argued again while throwing any feasible suggestion to get the Soul Stone, but everything seemed far-fetched now. Only Natasha and Barton remained silent as they were resolved to get the Soul Stone with their own way.
Natasha and Barton were the type of people who wouldn’t budge once they have made up their mind!
Dio kept observing Natasha and Barton while arguing with the others. He didn’t say a word to Natasha and Barton as he knew that they wouldn’t heed his words. Dio cared about these two, but there was nothing he could do right now.
Dio knew that he had to sacrifice one of these two and since everyone else didn’t want to acknowledge that fact, he ought to play the bad person once again!
