Chapter 751 Hope Disillusionment
Not only did The Grandmaster solve the problem in front of him, he even won the gamble and turned the tide around! The moment he took control of the Space Stone Avatar, he would easily escape the explosion without any injuries!
At the same time, the Energy Ball from Power Stone Avatar destroyed the Ad. Pieris and even several other Infinity Stones Avatar and the Grandmaster’s real body itself!
“Why is such a thing happening right now? Did I make a mistake somewhere?” The Grandmaster said, as he found himself back in Ad. Pieris again all of a sudden, enclosed by the purple energy ball from Power Stone Avatar. The Grandmaster smiled as he realised that the gamble wasn’t only between him and the Soul Stone Avatar as was Dio there, too!
“I can’t even get a single win from him, this is really embarrassing!” The Grandmaster said as the Space Stone Avatar was completely enveloped by the purple energy and started to break apart!
Outside of Ad. Pieris, Dio was busy escaping Ad. Pieris area with the Dark Battleship, taking the shortest path he could find, but a shocking scene unfolded on the planet! The purple energy that came from the purple energy ball started to drift to the space and the Ad. Pieris itself began to crumble before everyone’s eyes!
Although this was not the first time Dio witnessed the destruction of a planet, it was shocking and hard to process nonetheless. He didn’t know what happened to him, but he saw a certain level of beauty the moment he witnessed Ad. Pieris fell into complete destruction!
But as soon as the Dark Battleship started shaking from the violent energy that loomed ever closer, Dio immediately snapped back from his thoughts!
“The energy is spreading, affecting the hull of the ship! Everyone reports on the damage we took!” Dio shouted through the intercom.
“Propeller 1 is fine!” one Dark Elf said through the intercom.
“Propeller 2 is severely damaged, we have to fix it soon!” another Dark Elf reported.
“Some equipment in the control room has stopped working!” another Dark Elf report from the control room.
Dio then instructed the Dark Elves to work on what needed to be done. He kept everyone calm under the incoming disaster as he believed that panic would just send them to their end sooner than later! But Dio himself didn’t expect that the purple energy would travel longer than he anticipated!
He wondered how powerful the purple energy just now was but he couldn’t think of anything more powerful! It was even more powerful than the display of Power Stone’s ability by the Celestials in the movie he watched in the previous world!
Dio gazed at the disappearing planet and wondered if anyone ever survived such a destruction of that scale, but he believed that everyone including the Grandmaster would’ve already been disintegrated into dust!
Even if The Grandmaster survived by some miracle, it wouldn’t matter much anymore as he needed all 6 of the Infinity Stones to resurrect the unfortunate souls that were gone because of The Grandmaster’s silly game. It left a bad taste on Dio’s mouth as it slipped away from his grasp even though the Infinity Stones were right in front of him!
Dio was still bitter that he couldn’t grab onto hope when he needed it!
Had he been able to steal the Infinity Stones from the Grandmaster earlier, none of this would’ve happened! Now all 6 of the Infinity Stones were destroyed, and there was almost nothing he could do now!
Furthermore, he probably also rescued the last Ad. Pierian in the entire universe! However, he didn’t think the woman could do anything to help him! but his thought was disrupted once again as a figure suddenly appeared in front of Dark Battleship and just knocked on the door.
“What happened here? How did you blow up the entire planet?” Carol asked as soon as Dio let her in.
Dio sighed helplessly and explained everything that happened in Ad. Pieris to Carol briefly.
“Are you sure all 6 Infinity Stones were destroyed in that planet? Is it possible for them to survive somehow?” Carol asked worriedly as soon as she heard that all the Infinity Stones might be destroyed with Ad. Pieris.
“I hope so, too, but since the energy ball was close to the Soul Stone, it must be destroyed in the first explosion! The Grandmaster shouldn’t survive either, but I don’t really know about the other Infinity Stones.” Dio said with a sigh, “It doesn’t matter anymore!” Dio said with a disappointed look on his face. Carol knew what Dio was talking about, as their plan wouldn’t work even if only one of the Infinity Stones was destroyed!
“I already said that your plan was too risky! Now look at the mess you make!” Carol said annoyedly.
“Shouldn’t you comfort me at this moment?” Dio said with a frown on his face.
“Oh geez, is it time for little Dio to sleep? Should mama read a bed time story for you?” Carol said teasingly.
“Hey, didn’t I ask you for support? What took you so long? Where did you go earlier?” Dio asked annoyedly.
“Hey, I did everything I should, but you are right! The collector is hot on your tails the entire time! But when I was about to chase him, the entire planet blow up!” Carol said with a frown on her face.
“So, what did you do to that guy?” Dio asked curiously.
“I didn’t do anything to him as he already escaped too far for me to chase in such a messy situation! When I thought that you died in there, I wondered if I would get access to the Dark Battleship!” Carol said teasingly.
“Get in line! I have quite a lot of people after my treasure as it is!” Dio said with a frown on his face. but still, talking to Carol cheered Dio up a little bit. Now, the big question would be how to inform this bad news to everyone on Earth? Furthermore, what should they do next?
But the most important thing was that Dio would not give up on Wanda! He knew that he had to come up with other ideas to solve this problem! And so, after parting ways with Carol, Dio returned to Earth with bad news in hand.
