Mutual calculation

While Dio obviously rejected all Tivan’s offers, he became very frustrated! But he knew that Asgard trusted him to keep the Aether safe. The man in front of him also sold the Power Stone to keep it safe from any criminals, but he couldn’t do both of them! It was expected that Dio wouldn’t have any faith in him!

Furthermore, the value of 1 or 2 Infinity Stone wouldn’t be the same as 6 Infinity Stones! Let alone facing the sly old fox like Grandmaster!

“I don’t think we have a deal here!” Tivan said coldly, but as Dio heard that word, he immediately took out [Reaper’s Gaze] as he knew that Tivan wasn’t a guy to be trusted.

“I advise you to put down your weapon! Since I’ve taken out the Void Bead, I am naturally not afraid of you taking it away!” Tivan said coldly. With his current level of caution, there were hundreds of ways to undermine Dio’s plan or even crush the bead to sabotage Dio’s plan altogether.

Dio naturally knew this, and thus he kept his patience.

“I only need those 6 Infinity Stones, and there is no room for negotiation there! But I can give you all The Grandmaster’s Legacy!” Dio said coldly. Tivan was surprised as he didn’t know Dio wanted to kill The Grandmaster altogether! Tivan was also very interested in The Grandmaster’s legacy as there were surely many collectibles among it. Coupled with many treasures that Grandmaster has taken from him before, it would be a spectacle to take!

Although the Grandmaster the only family member he had that is alive right now, it didn’t have any meaning to Tivan right now. Tivan’s plan to get his hands on the Infinity Stones might fail today, but there was no saying that he wouldn’t take it from Dio’s hand in the future!

The universe was big. He could always employ anyone strong enough to take on Dio or even assassinate him in the future! He was already satisfied by Dio’s term right now, but he ought to keep up the act!

“I am not satisfied with this, but sure! This thing is yours!” Tivan said with a fake frown on his face. Dio then stowed his weapon back into the card and put the red bead in his pocket.

It should be noted that Tivan’s contribution in this whole grand fiasco was only giving the Void Bead to Dio! Although it was a precious item, Dio had already given up the Casket of Ancient Winters to him in return. Tivan didn’t lose anything here, and if Dio’s plan succeeded, Tivan would reap a bunch of profit!

This was barely a good deal for Dio, but he knew that he needed this Void Bead to find the Grandmaster! As long as he succeeded, it wouldn’t matter to him at all! After all, Dio never thought that he would lose against the Grandmaster!

If Dio had to say, this was a win in terms of what he needed right now. Even though he seemed to be losing in terms of profit, the Void Bead was the only thing he needed right now!

When Dio was ready to leave after the transaction was concluded, Tivan suddenly stopped him as he apparently still had something to say.

“You indeed hit the mark! The Grandmaster did exchange that Gem Woman exchanged with me for a bunch of my treasures, so you better be careful! I think the Grandmaster might be working on some crazy plan again!” Tivan said casually.

Dio was surprised. A Crazy Plan? Dio knew that the Grandmaster’s way of thinking was way different than Thanos! Even if Dio caught up to him later and won, there was no telling that it was the extent of what the Grandmaster planned.

This was surely not a good news to hear.

“Don’t worry. This information is free! I look forward to your success!” Tivan casually said as Dio walked out of his place. Regardless of whether Tivan’s information was true or not, it wouldn’t matter for Dio right now.

After Dio left, the smile on Tivan’s face instantly disappeared and was replaced by a cold calculating expression! He took out another red bead from his sleeve, the exact same thing as the one he gave to Dio earlier.

“Claudia! Prepare a spaceship for me to leave in an hour!” Tivan said to his maid. A numb pink figure appeared from a dark door, nodding to Tivan’s order.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Dark Battleship quickly flew towards the direction the Void Bead pointed. But Dio didn’t fully believe what Tivan had said. Dio wouldn’t be surprised if Tivan turned around and sold him out to the Grandmaster!

So, Dio needed a little insurance to make sure that his plan wouldn’t be hindered!

Dio quickly contacted Carol as she was still the sheriff of the universe. He asked Carol to join him as soon as possible!

“You found the Grandmaster?” Carol said surprisedly. She had searched everywhere for the entire two years with Rocket and Nebula without any result. Meanwhile, Dio only needed a short amount of time to find him! Carol was actually ashamed of her incapability to find the Grandmaster!

“It wasn’t certain just yet! But I am on my way to the designated location. Still, I am worried about the guy who gave me this information, so I hope you can watch my back as I need help here.” Dio said casually.

“I will help, so tell me about your plan!” Carol said excitedly.

Dio immediately told Carol about his idea and various possibilities that might happen during the said plan and what she ought to do later.

“Isn’t this too dangerous? Are you sure about this?” Carol asked hesitantly.

“It is a little bit dangerous, yeah! But I have to try! No one wants to deal with him other than us!” Dio said with a frown on his face.

Carol remained silent as she knew it as well. She nodded her head as she finally relented and agreed with Dio’s plan.
