Insatiable Greed

Originally, Dio wasn’t sure if going to Tivan’s place would be a good thing, but after hearing what Tivan said, he knew now that he had made a good decision! From what Tivan said, Dio knew that Tivan had some sort of information about the Grandmaster, but it seemed he wasn’t willing to disclose that information to anyone.

So was it possible that he was afraid of the Grandmaster? Dio kept coming up with speculations in his head about the information that Tivan held. One thing to note was that Tivan was a serious businessman. In order to obtain a precious collection, he wasn’t afraid to use any underhanded method. Because of this, no one dared to come across his marks.

The last time Dio sold the Cosmic Cube to him, Dio didn’t ask for Star Coins, but instead, he asked for something that Tivan wouldn’t be able to get out of! He asked for Tivan’s cooperation instead! Dio had no doubt that Tivan would get his hands on the Cosmic Cube no matter how long it took, and so Dio used it to his advantage.

“So, you get the Gem Person over there from the Grandmaster?” Dio asked belatedly. He was suspicious of it as there was no way to get the Gem People without turning back time or using the ability of the Time Gem! Tivan’s smile suddenly became rigid, and Dio nodded his head as he finally knew that it was the truth!

“Now! I want to know what can you offer if I give you the Grandmaster’s whereabout.” Tivan said frustratedly. He was frustrated because he blurted that he knew about the Grandmaster’s whereabouts, but now that the water was already under the bridge, he could just go for some treasure in return!

Tivan didn’t need money because he already had enough. What Tivan wanted was treasures, an eye-catching treasure that was worth the information he was about to share.

So, after thinking about what he had, Dio took out the Casket of Ancient Winter from his card. It was definitely a treasure, at least for the Frost Giant Family. Loki was already out of action, and this item didn’t really have a master right now.

So, he wanted to use this item as a bargaining chip to get what he wanted with the Grandmaster, but nevertheless, it was the only thing he had right now.

“I have this Casket of Ancient Winter with me!” Dio said as he put the Casket on the table. Tivan immediately changed his attitude as soon as he saw what it was. He put on his white glove and his magnifying glass to begin inspecting the treasure.

“This is the Frost Giant’s frozen box! There should be only one in the entire universe!” Dio said with a smile on his face. Dio believed that Tivan would share the information about the Grandmaster as he got his hands on the Casket. Although it would be difficult for Tivan to use this Casket of Ancient Winter without the bloodline of the Frost Giant Monarch, it should be okay for collection purposes!

Moreover, even if the Frost Giant knew that the Casket was with Tivan later, they wouldn’t dare to trouble Tivan! They wouldn’t have the power to take the Casket from Tivan anyway! Afterall, Tivan didn’t become the collector just because he had money. He also had the power to ensure his own safety!

Now, the only question left was whether Tivan would accept this treasure as part of the deal or not.

“This treasure is very good, but I am afraid it’s not enough!” Tivan said as his eyes flickered slightly.

“Aren’t you just being greedy? Do you want to exploit me or something?” Dio said as his smile slowly fading.

“If it’s just a piece of information without any risk, of course, this is more than I asked for, but this is my brother we are talking about! The entire universe is currently looking for him! If he knows that I betray him, he will come for me, and it’s a risk I am not willing to take without a proper price!” Tivan said as he sat back on his seat calmly.

It was a common occurrence in the black market that any information that was hard to get would have double or even triple the price! To put it bluntly, it was a chance for the information broker to get as much profit out of that piece of information!

“So, what do you want? This is the last chance I will make a calm offer!” Dio said as he changed his attitude. He no longer smiled at the collector; instead, he frowned in disgust due to the collector’s greed.

Tivan felt the increasing Killing Aura in the room, and so, he narrowed his eyes too. After thinking about the current situation and condition, he wanted something, but he couldn’t just convey it bluntly to Dio. He knew that Dio was more dangerous than Ronan, so he ought to keep his calm first!

“Don’t get me wrong, I can share this information with you, but before that, I need to know what do you want from the Grandmaster as soon as you find him?” Tivan asked while laughing, trying to revert the mood again.

Dio frowned as he didn’t know why Tivan suddenly gave in like this, but the most important part of this trip was to get the information about the Grandmaster, so Dio could at least rest easy as the goal was achieved!

“I want to do some business with him!” Dio said coldly.

“Let me guess. You are after the Infinity Gems, aren’t you?” Tivan said calmly.

Dio didn’t say anything to clarify Tivan’s word, but Tivan smirked as it seemed he was right!

“I am right, aren’t I? well, if that is your purpose, then I think we can work together!” Tivan said with a smirk on his face. Dio was surprised as he didn’t expect Tivan to make such a proposal!

“What do you mean work together? What do you think you are doing?” Dio asked with a hint of surprise still clear in his tone.

Tivan smiled confidently before taking a red bead out of the box ….
