“You can’t kill me! You need me for something, don’t you?” Loki said with confidence. Hela immediately frowned as she didn’t like Loki’s confidence, so she grabbed Loki’s neck and lifted him into the air.

“Congratulation, you just earned your death!” Hela said coldly. Loki tried to struggle in the air, but he didn’t show any fear of Hela’s violence. He even took a provocative stance as he kept smirking at Hela, which obviously annoyed her. She immediately tightened her grip, and she knew that just with one little twist, Loki would be no more!

But even knowing that his life was on the line, Loki neither changed his attitude nor expression. He stubbornly smirked at Hela. In the end, Hela sighed and dropped Loki to the ground! In all honesty, Loki was right! Hela did need his help later.

“Now, I am 100% sure that I am right! I can’t beat you, but manipulating others’ actions is my best forte! You are not my opponent on that matter!” Loki said confidently. He immediately got up from the ground, but Hela slammed him back down again. She didn’t want to kill Loki, but she was really annoyed by his tricks! In the end, Hela didn’t want Loki to be the one who got the last laugh!

“You are good at manipulation, but honestly, 10 of you won’t be able to even scratch me!” Hela said annoyedly. “But I have to praise you for your courage. It wasn’t inferior to Thor at all.” Hela said with a masked expression. It was not known whether Hela was really praising Loki or if it was just sarcasm.

“Thank you for the compliment, but can you stop comparing me to that big oaf? He is just a mindless muscle, and I hated to be compared to him!” Loki said annoyedly.

“It doesn’t matter, but you are right! I need you for something!” Hela said, ignoring Loki’s tantrum.

“Very well, I would like to hear your cause. If I may honestly say, I wouldn’t do it for free! So, let us talk honestly here. What do you want me to do, and what can you give me in return!” Loki said confidently. He still rubbed his neck as Hela’s grip earlier was really leaving a mark on it.

“Don’t you forget that your life is in the palm of my hands! I can kill you easily, and your petty tricks won’t be able to hide you from me! So, stop bargaining with me and do as I say!” Hela said annoyedly.

“I am sorry, but you want me to help you, right?” Loki said with a sarcastic tone on his word. Surely, Loki managed to annoy Hela once more. If she didn’t really need Loki’s ability right now, she wouldn’t let Loki live right now.

“Is your life really not worth it in your eyes? Consider your life a favour!” Hela said with an annoyed sigh.

“Of course, my life isn’t worth that much. You can kill me if you want, but I don’t think anyone would help you here. Well, except me.” Loki said with a smirk on his face.

“Are you threatening me?” Hela said as she walked closer to Loki threateningly.

“Oh no! I wouldn’t even dream of it, I am just telling the facts here. Obviously, the Great Hela wouldn’t want this lowly God of Mischief to run away when she wasn’t looking, right? I know that your situation here was pretty dire, so if I were you, I wouldn’t take my chances!” Loki said while holding his hands up.

“I know that you are under Thanos’ order to collect all the Infinity Stones, right? I also received the same task in the past, so it wouldn’t be that hard to guess. Now, after Thanos collected all the Infinity Stones, you wouldn’t have anywhere to go, right?” Loki said with a smirk on his face.

Meanwhile, Hela was looking at Loki weirdly as she didn’t expect Loki to see through everything that happened to her perfectly. But now Hela knew that Loki was her way out as he was an excellent negotiator.

Well, in all honesty, Loki didn’t know all the truth that happened to Hela earlier, but it was a near-perfect guess. What Loki didn’t know was that Thanos wasn’t the one who wanted Hela dead. It was Corvus Glaive! He wanted Hela dead so badly for killing his wife!

Truthfully, it was Hela’s fault, but she wouldn’t say it.

Hela knew that as soon as Loki found out about this, he would have been surprised. Hela herself was quite unsure that Loki would be able to convince Corvus Glaive to leave her alone. But Hela only needed Loki as a distraction, so it wouldn’t matter in the end.

“What do you want!” Hela said as he felt annoyed out of her mind from hearing Loki’s nonsense.

“I want you to die, but certainly, you wouldn’t do what I want, so what I want is meaningless!” Loki said while shrugging his shoulders.

“Are you serious right now?” Hela said coldly. She felt that her patience had reached its limit right now.

“No, I am not that serious. First of all, I need to hear what you want from me in order for me to determine what I want from you! it all depends on the difficulty and danger of what you want!” Loki said stoically. Hela frowned as Loki’s request seemed reasonable for once. She relaxed herself a little bit as she thought of what she needed from Loki.

“But before that, I think we need a little trust among ourselves. It was needed if we want this business we have to continue in the future!” Loki said with a smile on his face. Hela frowned even more upon hearing what Loki had to say, but she was even more surprised when Loki swung his hands in order to slap her. Hela moved in reflect and caught Loki’s hand.

“What are you doing? Do you seriously want to die?” Hela said coldly.

“This is my way to build trust. As long as you let me slap you in the face, I believe that what you are saying is true, and I would do my best to help you.” Loki said convincingly.
