Chapter 668
“It’s a trap!” Gamora said as she gritted his teeth.
“Of course! The Guardian of the Galaxy has become famous. Although it wasn’t difficult to find you, it is easier to call you instead of chasing you around the galaxy! Still, I am disappointed! Didn’t I teach you to be mindful of your surrounding? Especially one with a questionable background?” Thanos said coldly to Gamora.
Gamora was clearly desperate to break free as Thanos was clearly suffocating her!
“Let go of her!” Peter shouted at Thanos once more. Thanos finally turned his attention towards Peter indifferently.
“Look at that! Your little boyfriend is sad to see you being held by your father! Don’t you know it infuriates me to see you running around with these fools?” Thanos said as he raised his left hand to Peter.
“No! Stop!” Gamora shouted anxiously. Peter obviously didn’t know what Thanos was going to do, but thankfully Groot was fast enough to save him! Groot knocked Peter to the side, sacrificing his own arm in the process.
This was the best outcome as Groot could regenerate his missing limb quickly with his vegetation trait. Peter immediately stood up again with a frown on his face. He knew that if Groot didn’t save him, he would have died from Thanos’ attack! He immediately fired his gun at Thanos, but it didn’t do anything as the bullet was stopped by a layer of Blue Energy Shield!
Gamora herself immediately jumped into action as she pulled out her dagger and tried to slash Thanos’ arm that took hold of her neck.
“It is sad to see you use your gift to attack me!” Thanos said as he blocked Gamora’s dagger and disarmed her, taking her dagger away. It was the Blue Energy Shield again that stopped Gamora’s attack this time, the same kind that blocked Peter’s attack earlier.
Gamora became more desperate as she knew she couldn’t struggle against Thanos this time.
“I think we need to talk, little girl!” Thanos said coldly to Gamora.
“Quill, remember what you promised me!” Gamora shouted as she took a breathe and looked at Peter with a begging look on her face. Peter suddenly widened his eyes as his conversation with Gamora immediately echoed in his mind.
“”””””` “Quill, promise me that if Thanos capture me one day, you must kill me!” Gamora said solemnly to Peter as she held Peter’s face in her hand. “I can’t let Thanos get what he wants from me. You have to promise me that you would do it for me, Peter!” Gamora said desperately.”””””””””””””””`
Peter’s hand was shaking as he held the gun. He slowly pointed the muzzle towards Gamora’s head as he knew that he had to fulfill his promise.
“What are you doing, Quill? Are you out of your mind?” Rocket shouted as he looked at Peter in disbelief.
“I love you, Peter! Don’t let me down this time!” Gamora said as she smiled to encourage Peter.
“Girl, you really overestimating him too much!” Thanos said as she shook his head in contempt. “She wants to die, right?” Thanos asked as he turned his attention to Peter once again. Peter didn’t say anything as he still struggled with his dilemma.
“So, go ahead! What are you waiting for?” Thanos said as he put Gamora closer to Peter’s gun. His action demonstrated that he didn’t care about Gamora’s life at all!
But still, Peter just stood in front of Gamora dumbfoundedly as the Tyrant kept shoving Gamora closer to his gun. “Kill her, or I will kill all of you!” Thanos said persuasively. Peter was about to collapse as tears welled in his eyes, but he tried to stay strong for Gamora.
“I am so sorry!” Peter said as he pulled the trigger and shot Gamora right in the head. But his bullet was blocked by the Blue Energy Shield, like his attack to Thanos earlier. He looked at Thanos and noticed that his Infinity Gauntlet was shining blue.
“I am starting to like you, boy!” Thanos indifferently said as he summoned a wormhole and teleported away with Gamora in his arms. He left the Guardian of the Galaxy in a confused and scared state without care as they weren’t important to his plan.
Meanwhile, Peter was clenching his fist in frustration! He shot Gamora as he told her he would, but he failed to kill her! He should be happy that Gamora was still alive, but now, he didn’t know what Thanos would do to her. But one thing for sure was that he would kill Thanos himself!
Peter made up his heart and immediately stood up with a determined look in his eyes.
