Chapter 651
The Dark Battleship slowly descended into Xandar. The Dark Elves’ Stealth came into play right now as it was the main resource for Dio to evade any sort of detection right now. His objective of coming to Xandar right now was only to save Carol. Well, he might take a shot to kill Thanos while he was at it if he had the chance!
In Dio’s mind, Thanos would be easier to deal with now compared to when he already gathered all the 6 Infinity Stones! The Power Gem was still in Dio’s possession, the Time Gem was still in Stephen’s hand, and the Soul Gem was still unknown! Furthermore, Vision still held onto the Mind Gem while the Reality Gem and Space Gem’s whereabouts were still unknown!
Even if Gamora had already learned about the Soul Stone’s whereabouts, she wouldn’t disclose that information to Thanos, at least not yet! Furthermore, Gamora was supposed to be with the Guardian of the Galaxy, so there was no way Thanos would be with her right now.
The most important thing right now was that Thanos shouldn’t have his Infinity Stones at the moment! Another more important point was that Thanos wouldn’t bat an eye at some random bounty hunter now. Even if he knew that the bounty hunter possessed the Power Gem, Thanos still wouldn’t do much aside from sending his army at the said bounty hunter. But then, Dio would be able to deal with the army just fine!
Dio put the Power Gem on [Reaper’s Gaze] as he knew that he would need its power later. He wanted to finish off Thanos with it as he didn’t want to deal with him in the future! But all in all, it was only a plan! He had to adapt to the situation later on!
In order to sneak past the Annihilation Army, the Dark Battleship had to descend a little further from the city, and after the landing, Dio immediately opened the dimension door into the Mirror Dimension to sneak up onto the Annihilation Warship! But when Dio’s Mirror Dimension extended into the Tyrant’s Throne Room, he opened his eyes as the Power Gem slot on his Infinity Gauntlet started to shine.
“We have a guest. Tell Ebony Maw to get ready!” Thanos shouted at the guards on his side. After he said those words, Thanos closed his eyes once more, and the light from his Infinity Gauntlet started to fade before it dimmed completely.
On the other hand, Dio used the Mirror Dimension to invade the ship smoothly. However, right when he was about to search for Carol, an unexpected thing started to happen. A clicking noise was heard somewhere, and the Mirror Dimension suddenly collapsed! Dio never saw anything like this happen before, so he was obviously startled beyond belief!
Dio began to wonder if there was any technology that could monitor other dimensions in Thanos’ ship! At the very least, Dio wouldn’t know the answer now, and now was not the time to look into the answer either!
Because he suddenly appeared from nowhere, the Annihilation Soldier that was patrolling the hallway was surprised!
“Damn it!” Dio sighed as he failed to rescue Carol without alarming the enemies! He pulled out [Reaper’s Gaze] and stormed forward as he had no choice but to fight! Although he failed as an assassin, he should be able to keep up his covert operation if he killed all the enemy!
Dio rushed forward, and no matter how many enemies charged toward him, no one could stop him! [Reaper’s Gaze] was a formidable weapon, and when it was paired with the Power Gem, almost no one could deal with it! Dio even dared to guarantee that even if Thanos himself showed up, he would be able to cut his head off clean if he was given a chance to do so! After all, a Powerful Body and an Immortal Body wasn’t the same!
Now, he had to find where Carol was being held. It was impossible to make these soldiers talk as they couldn’t talk in the first place. He hoped that luck would guide him to find Carol right now! But an unexpected figure stood in front of Dio, blocking his path forward!
“That weapon! It turns out the Power Gem was in your possession all along!” Hela said coldly.
Dio stopped moving as he couldn’t believe his eyes. He never expected to see Hela inside Thanos’ ship! In fact, she was supposed to be destroyed along with Asgard! Dio couldn’t even fathom how such a thing happened as he watched Asgard was destroyed with her along with it with his own eyes! How could Hela possibly be here? or was it because …
“I know you’re probably confused judging from your reaction! You are surprised that I’m even alive, aren’t you?” Hela coldly said as she shot out her thorns towards Dio. Dio dodged the thorns and stayed on his toes, but he soon found out that Hela had shot down the camera and the guards that came around the corridor instead of Dio!
Dio was confused, but he immediately knew that Hela wasn’t here to go for another round with him! And so, Dio immediately dealt with the incoming guards! He honestly didn’t know who took the Cosmic Cube from Asgard’s Vault, but now it was certain that Hela was the one who took it away! She used the Cube’s power to teleport herself away in the moment of crisis! “You used the Cube, am I right?” Dio asked Hela directly.
“Good insight! But the Cube is no longer on my hands!” Hela said indifferently.
“It’s already in the Tyrant hand, isn’t it? Were you teleported here directly?” Dio asked curiously. But now he understood why the Mirror Dimension suddenly collapsed. With the power of the Space Stone inside the Cube, Thanos could easily destroy his make-shift dimension!
It was no wonder Dio couldn’t sustain his Mirror Dimension, but he still didn’t expect Thanos would immediately know about his arrival! But what exactly happened to Hela? Why didn’t Thanos kill her after taking her Space Gem? Did Thanos make Hela his subordinate? It didn’t really make sense for Dio!
What the hell happened here that he didn’t know of?
